34 The following morning Mark and I made the short drive to the government building where our meeting was to take place. Major Kafeero was waiting for us and led us through several passageways to General Wamala’s office. He greeted us cordially and asked us to be seated. Mister Lutaaya, the president’s aid-de-camp, was also present. The General began by apologizing; due to recent events it had become obvious that we were not in Uganda to topple the government.
