The space was large and well furnished with a double bed situated against one wall.
“Over here!” Shouted one of the men.
I rushed over to where he was holding a large wall hanging to one side. It had concealed a small tunnel, roughly four feet high and just as wide. I should have realized that Zannu was too clever to back himself into a dead-end; of course he would have a secret escape route.
Knowing that I would have to crawl through the small space, I quickly shed most of my equipment, including my body-armor. Three of the rangers followed suit; the other two would carry our excess equipment out of the cave and report on the situation.
Armed with just a knife and my side arm, I plunged headfirst into the small space. As the light quickly diminished, I flipped down my night-vision
