“No” is always the first words out of Astrid’s mouth when she sees that particularly resolute look on Josephine Alasdair’s face, because usually Josephine always looks like that. It only varies by the intermixing of annoyance when the twins are involved, a calm patient fondness when either Corey or her books are involved, and condescending hint of pride when she is ranting on about the duties of the queen.
