Days at the castle returned to normal.
I was still the rightful Luna.
No one dared challenge that title.
But the real power...
It was no longer in my hands.
Ellena had taken over that responsibility.
She walked out of Maxim's study carrying several royal scrolls.
The servants bowed respectfully before her.
The knights waited for her commands.
She wore no Luna's crown.
Yet everyone treated her as though she were the mistress of this castle.
Ironically...
No one dared call her that openly.
Because under pack law, I was still their Luna.
I was nothing more than a symbol that had to remain in this place.
A prisoner granted just enough freedom to keep up appearances.
"Lady Ellena."
A servant approached and bowed.
"Alpha requests that you inspect the winter supply inventory."
"I'll be there shortly," Ellena replied with a gentle smile.
I simply stood at the end of the corridor, silently watching everything.
Moments later, the study door opened.
Maxim stepped out.
Without hesitation, he walked straight toward Ellena.
In front of the servants and the knights, he gently brushed a loose strand of hair away from her face after the wind had blown it across her cheek. Then he looked at her with the same tenderness I had once believed belonged only to me.
Ellena smiled back at him.
They stood so close together, as if the world belonged only to the two of them.
No one dared comment on their intimacy.
Everyone had long since accepted it as something normal.
I let out a slow, heavy breath.
"What a revolting sight."
My tears had long since run dry.
All that remained was my determination to survive.
Not for my title as Luna...
But for my son, Bryan.
My child would come to Agrari.
And when that day arrived, I wanted to welcome him as a mother should welcome her son home.
"He will come. His destiny will lead him to this castle. He is the very image of a young Maxim. His blue eyes and silver hair will make every werewolf recognize the royal blood flowing through his veins."

Bryan's POV
It had been nearly two weeks since I entered Agrari without knowing who my real family was.
Fortunately, I wasn't alone.
Lyra chose to stay by my side.
We were like two rogue werewolves with no place to call home.
Strangely enough...
I felt freer here than I ever had in the human world.
---
Lyra's POV
Bryan was asleep beside the campfire beneath the night sky.
I stared at his face for a long time.
He never stopped searching for his father.
While I...
I was doing everything I could to avoid mine.
To him, my birth was nothing but a weakness.
I clutched the small pendant that had always hung around my neck.
"Even my own mother obeyed her husband and abandoned me in this forest."
Inside the pendant was the emblem of a blue-eyed wolf.
The crest of the White Wolf royal family.
I didn't know what the pendant truly meant.
But I knew it belonged to nobility.
I was raised by the very knight who had been ordered to kill me.
Instead, he chose to protect and raise me as his own.
Sadly, he was killed by Shipper a month ago.
Since then...
I had lived alone in this forest.
I let out a quiet sigh.
"I will never return... even though I know the way home."
My father...
Was Maxim.
The Great Alpha of the White Wolf Clan.
Unfortunately, I was never the child he wanted.
I was born a girl.
A fate that made me curse my own existence.
I was born from his forbidden affair with Ellena.
A relationship that was meant to remain hidden...
Yet had become an open secret.
My existence was proof of their sin.
That was why I had to disappear.
Meeting this man felt like a gift from the gods.
Could an abandoned princess like me truly deserve a mate?
There was something about him...
His aura resembled that of a powerful and remarkably handsome Alpha.
---
The following morning...
Bryan was practicing beside the river, trying to control his newfound power.
From time to time, blue lightning burst from his palms before vanishing just moments before striking the trees.
"Strange..." he murmured.
"Why does this power awaken on its own?"
I simply watched him from afar.
"Bryan..." I climbed down from the treehouse so I could keep him company while he trained.
The man turned to look at me.
"You look so adorable. With your innocence, how is it possible that you don't even know your wolf side?"
"It's a very long story. And I can't tell you about it."
I let out a soft chuckle.
"I understand. A wolf raised by humans would naturally be confused. You've found the right person," I said.
He smiled as he looked at me.
"Tell me! What's hidden beyond that hill?"
I looked up at the massive hill that separated this forest from Agrari.
"You can't go there while your skills are still this poor."
Bryan let out an annoyed snort.
"Whatever. I actually think you trapped me here on purpose."
His words caught me off guard. It was as if Bryan had read my heart. I wanted him to stay here forever.
I lowered my head, blushing, and turned to walk back toward the treehouse.
As if he sensed my intentions, he stopped me and wrapped an arm around my waist.
He leaned close and whispered into my ear.
"Tell me, Lira... did you do this on purpose? Did you want us to be alone out here together?"
I closed my eyes as he buried his face against my neck and shoulder.
"Bryan..." I whispered.
He gently turned me around so I could look into his eyes.
"You know? The last time I was with a human, my power awakened. I want to see what happens when I'm with a werewolf."
I gently pushed against his chest.
"You... you've been with a human before?"
"Yes."
I clicked my tongue in annoyance and started to walk away, but he caught me again, pulling me down onto the soft grass.
"You're far more tempting. We have something in common," he murmured as he gazed at me.
"These blue eyes... and these lips."
Bryan gently caressed my face.
"I can feel it. This is where my destiny lies."
"Bryan..." I whispered.
"Are you ready to go on an adventure with me?"
My eyes widened.
"What do you mean?"
"I want to see Agrari. Take me there."
I stared at him for a long moment.
"But..."
"Shhh..."
Bryan silenced me by placing his index finger against my lips.
"I promise I'll always stay by your side. I won't make any mistakes. After that, we can come back here and continue living the life we've built together."
Hearing those words, I gave a hesitant nod.
