I walked past my parents in the living room and ignored their nagging as I made my way outside and walked to the parking garage then entered inside my BMW 3-Series and drove to my school.
I parked my car in my usual spot and then put on my sunshades before getting down from the car. I took in a deep breath and looked around, taking in the image of students in their uniforms swarming their way inside the school.
“It feels good to be back,” I said with a small smile on my face.
I turned around and saw Constanza,—the only cousin from my mom’s family that I was really close with— coming out of her car.”
