“I want to apologize for everything. I’m sorry for violating you.” I started to say. “I had no idea you were a high school student. I wouldn’t have made a pass at you or offered you alcohol if I knew you were not old enough.”
“I am old enough!” She retorted sternly. “And there is no need to apologize. There was no way you could have known I was a high school student same way there was no way I would have known that you were going to be my teacher. It was a little and harmless mistake from both of us. There is no reason to make it a big issue.”
I totally understand why I never thought she could be a high school student. She had a way with words and sounded really intelligent. My type of woman.
