Part Three

A few days after the farewell that had became the mini concert of The Breakers. Everything has returned to normal. Except for those banners left by other students on the court, which caused us to clean up an entire day to reorganize the court.
It's not really our tasks. It's just a coincidence that we're having our P.E class. So instead of playing volleyball, we were asked to clean it.
"Is that all you're going to borrow?" I came back to myself after hearing what the librarian have ask me.
None of my own I moodded and awkwardly smiled at her.
While she was busy writing on my library card. I first looked around the entire library, but my plan only stopped when I saw a man just entering the library and walked towards my direction.
Just by staring at him, I suddenly felt my heart pounding, and the trembling of my hands. I can't even count how many times I told myself to avert my eyes on him. But my heart beat even faster as he got closer to me.
He smiled at me. Why is he smiling at me? Are we close?
"Hey?" He greeted casually.
He acts as if we're both close friends. Which is not.
"Z-Zach. Eh?" I stutter.
"Ah as expected. You know me," he said trying to point something. "But I want to introduced myself in a way more formal." He grinned
"Hi. I'm Zachary, Zach for short, the drummer of our band, The Breakers." He wink.
I was shaken by what he said. Who sure isn't. I mean I know him just because of Nat and Brenda.
"Who wouldn't?" I said trying to sound casually. I suddenly turned to the librarian as she spoke.
"You're going to take care of this, aren't you?" She smiled, that I just nodded as well.
I noticed that Zach was looking at the book. I was holding.
"You're reading that?" He asked as if he had seen something he was very interested in. I nodded.
don't know but at those times all I could think of was a nod.
"That book is awesome." I looked at the book. I was holding.
"Have you read this?" He nodded.
And all of a sudden he snatched the book I was holding and he scan the pages as is he's trying to look for something hidden in between the pages.
When he found what he was looking for. He immediately showed me a library card stuck to the last page of the book.
Why haven I saw that earlier?
"Here, that's my name." He stated pointing his name that was fully written in his library card.
"If you don't mind. I was the first one who read this book, just as early as it was out here." He said sounds like he's boasting.
I awkwardly smiled at him.
During those times, my attention was not focused on the book he had finished reading.
But to myself, I felt my heart was still pounding while he was still in front of me. If he speaks to me, it seems like he already knows me. How he introduced himself, and smiled as if he was used to such things.
"Hey, come on say something." I blinked at the thought
"I'm sorry, I'm just not used to it." I reason out.
It's true that I'm really not used to it. Another feeling I feel like I'm suffocated just because of his presence. He seems too attractive on how the way he talk.
"Maybe you're just that attracted to me."
If there's one thing in his personality I don't like. It is how he think of himself as a handsome greek.
But it's true. He's really handsome in his own boastful way.
"Eh?" Only word tag came out of my mouth. I even heard the librarian's giggle.
But instead of staying there and listening to him. I decided to leave.
But I still couldn't get away when he suddenly pulled my arm causing me to back away because of his pulling.
"What?!" I'm almost shouted. I Surprised was written all over his face. I don't care.
Even though i could feel my heart beating faster. I just did not pay attention to what I'm feeling right now.
All I wanted was to go out from this room and not to be stuck with him. Because I feel like I'm having a hard time breathing.
I hate this feeling! Arrrgh!
"May I know your name?" He asked.
I stared at him with a shrug.
"Just your name, and I'll let you go." He added I sighed.
"Noelle." I hurriedly removed her grip on me and ran towards the library door. But like before, I wasn't totally out when he suddenly shouted.
"See you around Noelle!" I didn't bother to look back. I continue to walk towards the other and immediately go out from the library.
I walked weakly while holding onto my left chest. I can still feel my hearts beating so fast. It seems like, the signs are true.
Fast heart beating. I felt it when he's close to me just a while ago.
You stutter. It did happen when I talk to him.
You feel so shy and awkward whenever he/she is near you. Your hands tremble. And this exactly happened just in a while ago!
Shit! I blurted.
I was a little disappointed with what I thought. Why do I feel all the possible signs are true?
Is he already? Is Zach the one the signs refer to? Is he the one I've been looking for?
"Hey! You look stupid." I was thrown back in the chair when Natalie suddenly slapped my desk causing me to realize what was happening.
We were currently outside the classroom. We have no class at this hours so we decided to stay here in the soccer field.
After everything that happened a while ago inside the library. I hurried back to our classroo. Only to find out that we have no class for this time. I headed straight here in the school field.
Speaking of which I left the library.
I felt that my heart calmed. Something earlier had triggered it. So it speeded up the pulse.
Is it really because of Zach?
"N-nothing? I'm just thinking about something else." I lied to Natalie.
I don't want to tell them what happened earlier because they might think otherwise. Especially Nat, he still have crushes Zach.
"What was that? You're thinking, is that something that deals with someone?" Brenda asked smiling?
I shake my head before turning to face her. But I want yet able to talk when she talk again.
"Is it a he or he?" She tease
"Nothing said,.." I replied annoyed.
She just laughed before looking back at the students playing volleyball on the field. Volleyball in our school can be played outdoor and indoors.
Your choice its either indoor or outdoor. But mostly during vacant hours like this, most of the students especially us seniors prefer to play outdoor games.
That's when we gather here in the field. And just like any other girls, instead of us playing too. We'd rather hang out here just watch the game. It's a boys versus boys game. Whoever team that wins would probably the shame of those team who losses.
No wonder many students choose to hang out here.
Girls from bear who seated among the bleachers begabbto cheer for their winning teams. But what caught my attention, was hearing a sudden whistle among the group of girls. Who are just sitting not too far from where us three chose to stay.
"C'mon! Don't just show your abs! Out some effort on your play! D*ckheads!" A girl with a blonde hair shouted.
I averted my gaze on her and her groups and watch at those boys who are still playing volleyball in the middle of the heated filled. Their all half naked. That's why most of the girls inside this school are hear. They are hear not just to watch who will win or lose. They're all hear to watch and drool over those guys. Who are literally playing half naked, revealing their abs.
"Girls, he's literally hot!" Brenda announce making the both of us, Nat and I look at her direction.
Like any other girls around the field. She's also staring at the guys who's still busy playing. Especially for the guy who's half naked, revealing his six packs abs, messy hair covering some eye fibers.
In fact, everything really looks the same. But the man Brenada was drooling with abs, really grabs more attention. He looks too perfect in every girls veiw.
"That's not handsome." None of my own answer to what Brenda said. She look at me, disbelief was written in her face.
I shrug.
"Take that back, Noelle!" Natalie chuckled.
"Oh, no, I told you, Noelle's eyes are blinded. She can't see beautiful things around her, that's why." I slapped Natalie on the arm because of what she said
"What's wrong? It's really true?" She added.
My words stayed in the air when Brenda and even the other women sitting in the bleachers suddenly screamed loudly.
The boys' game on the field also came to a halt when everyone's crazy band arrived. Four of them are wearing their P.E uniforms.
Edward the guitarist holds the volleyball ball. While the three are all like lazy bastards who walks towards the middle of the field. Where a the half naked guys are playing.
"Don't tell me they're going to play?" Natalie's shocked promise
"Too obvious." I said bitterly that Nat's thoughts only hurt me more. He glared at me before looking at the group again.
"It's abs versus the whole team of the band?" Brenda said with her mouth wide open.
They passed in front of us. Obviously these two of my companions were holding back a scream. I feel Brenda pinch my skin, making me wince in pain.
Natalie is speechless. I don't know about her. She always act f tame whenever The Breakers is around.
I should have held Brenda's hands. Just to restrain her from pinching my skin. When I heard my name mentioned by one of them.
"Hey, Noelle! We meet again." There was a big smile on his lips and he said that making the two girls who's sitting next to me, turned their eyes on me. Giving me a suspicious look.
I know I wasn't the only one who's surprised at those times. I noticed Brenda stopped pinching me.
Natalie froze, as in literally froze. I know she's also as surprised as I was.
What happened? I ask myself in silence.
But even made me look surprised. When Zach just walked to our place. He slowly waved his hand in front of us. I froze. Just like Nat.
"Hi." He greeted with a wide smile appeared on his think lips.
Even I, what he did was unexpected.
My heart was beating so fast, and I could feel my hands shaking again. I look at Natalie. She's also looking at me, who's mouth is in agape.
There's this question in her face, the "how-did-it-happen- look?"
I hope she won't think badly.
About a few seconds before I could recover from what happened. I turned to Zach who was still looking at me with a smile. I also noticed Maru approaching our place. And when our eyes met. I saw a sudden emotion I couldn't name.
"H-hey.." I thought
"You know each other?" Brenda's question seemed unbelievable. I smiled at her.
Giving her the 'I fill you later look' so she nodded.
Even Nat, she's still has this question in her face. But she manages to nod after I give her the look the same as Brenda
"We met in the library." I said defending myself. I feel like I have to explain
"Oh, that's just the way it is. But Zach is acting as if it looks like they're close—" He paused trying to decipher my name and when he couldn't remember he smiled.
"Noelle.." I answered
"Yeah, this Noelle girl." Angelo added. I noticed he seemed to be the youngest of them. He looks like a child when he speaks.
"Really?" Maru said dryly still he's eyes on me. I was scared by how the way he stared at me.
"Oh great! If you don't have anything important to tell them, then shall we? Our opponent is waiting dude." Edward seems in a hurry.
But by just observing as his actions. He looks like a serious person. I think he's the most dedicated member in their group.
I saw Zach smiled before they bid their goodbyes to us.
"Goodluck." I said giving them a small smile.
So that is Zach, the boastful drummer. I turned to my two companions. They're looking at me. Like I really have to explain such a big crime.
"Now explain." That's when Natalie ordered.
I can see how Brenda fix herself up and focus herself for me. Oh great... This is gonna be tiring.
