"Please dont play with me like that!" Maxine said.
"What do yo mean? I am no playing with you." asked Zack genuienly concerned.
"I can´t have another mate!"
His blood boied, "What do you mean ANOTHER MATE?" He all but shouted, scarring her, as she cowered under the sheets. Then he remembered what his gamma had told him that he had rejected her not but a few moths back and he calmed down.
"Im so sorry beautiful, but I believe I know what and who you are talking about." he said as he sat down again next to her bed.
She was in awe, "What do you mean?" she asked a little confused.
"I mean Him," he said pointing to his Gamma.
She looked at him again, recalling everything that had happened that day that she had felt his presence in their pack,"Yes," she Said,"HIM!".
The strange part for her was that now she did not feel anything towards him, no pain no hate no nothing. This was extremely Weird.
"What do you have to say for yourself David?" Asked Zack, in a monotone voice.
"Im sorry Luna, I did not mean to hurt you." he said bowing his head to her.
"Luna? Who is a Luna?" she asked confused at his expresion.
Zack Laughed a hearty laugh and said, "Well you of course Beautiful, You are my mate that makes you my Luna! And of course that make you their superior." he said pointing to the beta and gamma behind him.
"I tell you this is all impossible! This can´t be happening." she said again, in the most convincing tone she could.
"I dont get it what do you mean beautiful?" Zack asked very interested now at his mates statement.
"Can I talk to you alone please?" she asked in a hushed tone.
Raising his hand giving his beta and gamma leave, he said," What did you want to talk about Beautiful?"
"You cant be my mate, because David was not my first mate!" She said embarrassed.
What did she mean he was not her first mate? But this was really unheard of!
"What do you mean?" Zack asked his eyes turning darker.
"My fated mate was an omega, I found out shortly after turning 18, he rejected me first as soon as he found out I was his mate!" she said hiding her face in her palms sobbing her failure into the sheets. "After 2 Months when your pack came to visit I was granted a second chance mate in David but he rejected me also, and I have never heard of a third chance mate! That is Why I say that I cant be your mate, its just impossible!" She cried more into the sheets.
Zack, listening to the story of his mate and the rejections she had suffered, was stone cold as he heard every word not knowing how to respond, until a familiar voice from behind him made him jump.
"No it is not unheard of but it is not well known! Hi, Sweety, I´m Serena, Zacks mom." Serena Zacks Mother came into the room with them followed closely by an older version of Zack.
"Luna", Maxine said tying to rise from the bed and bow.
"DON´T move a muscle, Zack What kind of mate are you help her!!!" Said Serena scolding Zack for not accomodating his mate on the bed, as he ran to Maxine and helped her sit up in bed.
"What do you mean mom, that its not unheard of to have a third chance mate? I have never heard of something like this." Asked Zack as he sat beside the bed holding on to Maxines´ hand, even when she wanted and tried to take her hand away from him.
"Well for starters, your grandmother was the third chance mate to your grandfather!"She said matter of factly.
"WOW, I did not know that! And why dont we know about this kind of things?"
"Well son because most werewolves are ashamed to be third chance mates. My father was really happy, finally recieving the love of his other half. Even if it was a third times a charm bit." Said the older version of Zack which Maxine presumed to be his father, laughing.
"And to all of this what is your name Sweety?" asked Zacks´ father.
"I´m sorry Alpha, Luna and Alpha to be, my name is Maxine, Omega to the Blood Howlers Pack," she said lowering her head.
"Never Lower your head to us, you are now the soon to be Luna of the Crystal Lake Pack, my future Luna and my mate! And don´t call me Aplha to be, I´m Zack, but you can call me anything but Alpha", said Zack as he lifted her head by her chin staring lovingly in her eyes.
"You are not going to reject me?" she asked almost crying.
"Why on earth would I want to Reject the most beautiful and strong woman I have laid my eyes on? Other than my mom of course." he said looking between his parents and his mate.
"Because i Am an Omega, and twice rejected at that! You deserve better!" she said now crying.
He embraced her, hugging as tight as her bruised and battered body aloud him to without hurting her soothing her drawing circles on her back," I don´t care if you are a unicorn in disguise, I deserve you and only you and i will not look for any one else. You are mine and I am yours. The Moon Goddess played a very special part in bringing us together and that is all there is to it." Said Zack Mater of factly.
Maxine hearing this could only look at Zack in awe, he was so sweet, and looked at her as if she was going to disappear as soon as he turned around. Little did Zack and Maxine Know that there was still more at stake than just a little horse play in the hallway, things were about to get really juicy for both of them.
" Max, Babe, please tell me who did this to you and don´t try and protect anyone!" Zack pleaded.
