Diana’s POV I stumbled down the hallway, clutching my chest like it might stop my heart from tearing through her ribs. The growls, those terrible, inhuman growls, still echoed in my ears. I slammed open my parents’ door. “Mom! Dad!’ I shouted. ‘There’s something outside! Wolves! Huge wolves, fighting!” My father sat up, groggy but alert. “What do you mean wolves?” “I saw them, from my window, two massive wolves!” I said breathlessly. “They’re not normal wolves, they’re the size of bears. I swear.” My father swung his legs over the side of the bed and sat up fully. “I’m calling animal control.” “No!” I grabbed his arm tightly. “Take your gun. Please, Dad.
