Emily was staring blank at Evelyn when Oliver came in front of her.
“Hey, Emily,” he said and pulled her to him, giving her a light kiss on the cheeks.
“Come sit with us,” Oliver said, and took her by the hand to where Evelyn was sitting on the couch.
Emily sat with Oliver and greeted Evelyn with a nod and a hesitant smile. Evelyn smiled back at Emily and said, “Hello, Emily.”
