"Meow meow meow." Snow slupped over Zoe's face with it's moist tongue calling for her to arise, she licked her eyes and nose. Snow needed to eat but Zoe was still dozing off.
Zoe unfurled her eyelids battering her lashes, opening her eyes to the unfamiliar room she slept in the other night. She swoop her brown curly hair out of her face and mouth and woke up.
"Snow. Morning to you too." Zoe pat it's head loving. Snow meowed back satisfied.
She grabbed snow and placed her against her chest for comfort.
A slight headache lingered in Zoe's head as she patted snow slowly. Zoe's room was very bright that morning, twin translucent light bulbs hung on the four corners of the room leaving the room so bright the curtains didn't need to be drawn.
Zoe's new room was spacious and reasonable, with blue walls...
A sudden knock on the door startled her. She jolted and adjusted her blue nightie sitting up properly.
"Come in." She called out nervously.
The brown door knob twisted and a familiar hear popped in.
Jaffy.
His brown curly hair ruffled and sticking everywhere, he probably just got out of bed too. His little brown eyes glanced happily at Zoe as he beamed at her.
"Jaffer." Zoe called out honestly thrilled to see him.
"Good morning Zoe." He whispered. "Did I wake you up?."
Jaffer had to be one of the few person in the world Zoe could speak to without stammering or becoming zombie blank.
"No. I was already awake." Zoe ran her hand through her hair.
"Can I please come in?." Jaffer whispered again flashing his white teeth in a attempt to look cute.
He was way too cute already, there was no saying No to his face.
"Yep." Zoe smiled encouragingly.
Jaffer strolled in with his tiny feets making no sound on the rugged floor.
"I took of my shoes so I won't wake you up." He said showing Zoe his feets. He was clad in a blue superman PJ with long pants.
"My room is right beside yours on the right. Do you want to see it?."
"I would. But not now."
"I'll show it to you after breakfast, I think mummy's making waffles and scrambled eggs, you're gonna love it. Mum is my favorite cook and everyone's, you do not want to taste dad's food, he's a terrible cook, Jamal too, Jahim never cooks." He paused.
"Do you like your room?. Is it beautiful?." he asked. Zoe assisted Jaffer get on the bed. He had tried but fell down on his butt.
Zoe glanced around, the walls were shades of baby blue, a wide reading table and a computer to the left, a closet to the right, beside it was a small bathroom. The floor was carpeted with deep blue rug with flower print. A huge bed with white beddings sat at the farthest part of the room.
"I love it." Zoe stated.
"Oh my gosh is that a cat?." Jaffy closer to snow, who had curled up in the middle of the bed.
"Yes!. My cat. She's snow."
"Awwn!. She's lovely." Jaffy patted snow softly before moving away to let it rest.
"Your hair is rough now. It looks like Jamal's and Jahim's except theirs are longer." Jaffer began to laugh. "I have a friend named Jason, he's my best friend and Courtney too, Courtney likes to play the drum and Jason still eats buggers. Gross and childish." He rolled his little eyes backwards.
"How old are you again?." Zoe inquired.
"I'm four years old. I'll be five in December."
"Do you watch cartoons?. And do you know about superheroes?. I love superman". He hopped to his feet on the bed. "I want to be superman when I grow up so I can fly and save the world."
"Nice." Zoe smiled. What a active little boy.
"Jaffy?. Jaffy where are you?. Jaffer mum wants you right now." A loud voice boomed outside.
"Shhsh." Jaffer hushed Zoe. "Jamil's looking for me."
Soon enough a knock was heard on the door. Jaffy jumped and hide beside Zoe's bed.
"Come..hmm hmm. Come in." Zoe called out.
The door opened and a head popped in slowly.
Jamil. The third child and Jaffer's immediate brother.
A little boy with a smile on his face glanced at Zoe. His brown curly hair on a slightly low cut unlike Jaffy's, he had spotless light skin with large brown eyes.
"Hi Zoe. Remember me?. I'm Jamil, your cousin, we've met before." He was waving slightly.
"I remember. Jamil." Zoe waved back.
"Have you seen my little brother?. I can't seem to find him anywhere." He asked calmly not waiting for a reply. "Anyways mum wants me to call you down for breakfast."
"Come down to breakfast with me." Jamil came in fully. He was dressed just like Jaffer, with a superman logo in front of his top and blue long pants his feets were clad in blue Crocks.
He strolled to Zoe and held her hand in his, a nice comforting gesture.
"No!!." Jaffy screamed from his hiding place sprinting himself out. He jumped on Jamil and bite his arm so quickly.
"I want to hold her hand." He hugged Zoe tightly.
"You little fur ball. You bit me." Jamil looked down at his hand. "I promise you I'm taking all your chocolate bar." Jamil stared tenderly at the spot Jaffy had bitten.
"And I'll tell mum if you do." He then added tenderly, "Come on Zoe shall we?." Jaffy said still clinging to Zoe.
Jamil growled at Jaffy, "We! shall! settle! this! like! men!. Zoe come with me."
Jaffy didn't let go of Zoe, . She had no choice but to carry him along with her, Jaffy was beaming.
"Meow." Snow meowed loudly at Zoe. 'Dont forget me' the little feline meant to say.
"A cat?." Jamil glanced at snow.
"Yes. Zoe's cat. Snow. She's a girl." Jaffy explained.
"Come on snow." Snow moved towards the edge of the bed.
"I'll help you with her." Jamil grabbed snow along with them.
They went down the stairs and met a chubby woman mopping the staircase.
"Hi Sally." The boys said together. Zoe passed by awkwardly under Sally's glares.
"Zoe!." Excited shrieks was used to welcome the girl as she appeared in the kitchen with the boys. Now the family was complete.
Jaffer refuse to let go of Zoe when she tried to place him down, even Irene tried to pull him off but he didn't yield.
"Zoe Blue!. Good morning. I hope you had a good rest." Collins flashed her a smile getting out of an apron.
"Boringgg!."
Zoe glanced at the figure sitting with his legs on the table. He was Jahim, Mr Collins and Irene's first child.
He sat in a terrible posture with his booted legs against the table, his jaw was rough with overgrown beard spurting out. His brown curly hair was uneven and bushy, looking unkept, he wore a crop top, Zoe could see his elongated navel, and shorts that had folded to his mid thigh. He had an uncaring attitude and even bad manners, the black sheep in the family.
"What are you looking at?." he yelled at Zoe startling her. Zoe retreated back in shock.
"Arrrh Jahim!. Pay no attention to him!." Jabir, the twin, led Zoe to a seat far from Jahim.
Jahim was waving at Zoe, the other twin."Hey cuz!".
Jahim and Jabir were twins. Born after Jahim.
Zoe took a seat and Jaffer took a seat beside her, moving his chair closer.
"Jaffer!". Jamil groaned at his clingy brother.
Zoe took a good look at her cousins again, starting from Jahim, carful not to let him catch her. Zoe thought Jahim looked almost exactly like his father, when he chewed his waffles too loudly with his mouth open, he didn't have crooked teeth. He had a full curly mass of brown hair, wavy and soft looking, his hair stood in a gigantic mass of unkept bunch looking even browner because it seems dirty. As expected, he had a spotless light glowing skin with hair on his arms and legs and exposed belly. He had a drop dead gorgeous aura like a demi god even only he could have dressed better or groom better.
"Say cheese everyone!." Jabir held up and his phone on a selfie stick and took a picture of the breakfast with everyone in the picture. "It's for my online fams." He told Zoe. "Now smile." He took a picture of her too.
Jamal and Jabir, the twins, took after Jahim in everyway, they were cloud identical. Although Jamal was slimmer than Jabir was, they both had manly build. Jamal had the same muscular build with strong jawline and lined beard on the cheeks as Jabbir. They both kept their hair in a neat man bun unlike Jahim.
Zoe was so proud to be related to such perfect looking guys. Jamil and Jaffer were still little but they obviously were going to take after their elder brothers in look and make ladies drop for them. They looked wonderfully cute.
"Welcome to our home beloved cuz." Jamal winked at Zoe. "Now who's hair do you think is longer?". He pulled out his ribbon and let his hair bounce freely.
Wow!. Zoe gulped. All she could think of was considering leaving her own brown hair to grow and see if it'll be this beautiful.
"Definitely mine." Jabir said as a matter of factly pulling out his own ribbon too.
Gosh what luscious locks. Zoe stared hard at both hairs, she was blown away. She decided she wasn't going to cut her hair no more. They both looked like trees in summer, with large brewing leaves blooming.
"I think Jabir's hair is longer." Zoe said finally with a small voice.
"Who cares!." Jahim groaned spitting into a napkin.
"Jahim!." Irene cautioned.
Jamal bowed in disappointment.
Jabir's hair was so very slightly shooting out better than Jamals.
"So, little bruh, the fact still stays, I'm older and always better." Jabir said proudly taking a selfie.
"Guys stop that nonsense competition and have your hair's cut. Before you know it it'll be so long you won't even be able to lift your head." Collins said chewing his way through the twelfth waffle.
"I'm leaving!." Jahim got up dropping his used napkin on the floor.
"Jahim get back here and pick..." Irene began to call out.
"No. No. Leave him Irene." Collins soothed his wife.
There seems to be a little tension in the room from everyone but they kept quiet.
"What's snow going to have?." Irene asked Zoe finally.
"I'll give her my waffles."
"Then you better have more." Irene said with a smile. They tension began to ease down as jaffer asked for more too.
Zoe knew Irene was a surgeon, while Collins was a real estate owner, he has tried to convince her father a million times to invest.
"Hey everyone finish your food early. We need to get to the amusement park in time before the good tickets are sold out." Irene announced.
Immediately, everyone digged faster into foods, even Jaffer that had been chewing like a bird. Well everyone except Zoe.
Amusement park? Amusement park? Amusement park?. She repeated in her head.
Never had she ever been to one.
Well except.....
