Zoe Blue: Bullied

2326 Words
Zoe woke up crying. She sniffed and felt around for her necklace hanging down her neck. She squeezed the necklace into her fist and hugged it to her mouth. Her night had been filled with dreams of her dead parents, they had suddenly appeared when she was swimming in their pool back at home. Her father dived smoothly in while her mother went in graciously. “Zoe, try a dive!." her father had urged. "No. Don't. It's too dangerous. You could sink lower than you think you would and hit your head." her mother exasperated. Zoe and her father exchanged looks and laughed out loud at her mother who simply rolled her eyes playfully. The a school bus suddenly drove and pulled up by the pool, then Jahim looked out from the window and yelled. "Get your dump a*s out of the blood and let's get you to school." Zoe turned around, true enough the pool had turned to blood and her parents gone. She cried out for them but they were no where to be seen. Zoe woke up crying. Her parents were really gone and she was starting school that morning. Feeling heavy hearted and down, she rose up and picked up snow wrapping her in a comforting hug. Few minutes later she felt better. She moved slowly into her bathroom to get ready. After a short shower, she grabbed her biggest hoodie and pants, and threw herself in it. She combed her hair over her face to hide her puffed eyes and she was ready. "One big hug for good luck." Mr Collins squeezed Zoe in a hug as Jamil rolled pass behind her on his scate board and Irene yelled at him to stop skating in the house. Jabbir and Jamal tossed dishes to each other while setting the table, Jaffy was drinking milk directly from the bottle. Zoe nodded with a smile. Relieved he didn't notice her eyes. Jaffer hugged her too. Dressed in a dark suit, Jabbir held a suitcase, he appeared more enticing now that he was dressed for work. He was a lawyer. He looked even younger with his neat man bun over muscled chest ripping out of suit. "I'll be giving you a ride to school." he said to Zoe. Jamal was already seated, clad in gym clothes."How do you feel about going to school today?. You're gonna love it. Trust me!." "You don't have to be nervous at all. Even if you are, you mustn't let your appearance reflect it okay?. Be confident." Jamil tipped getting over his roller skate after Irene threw a spoon at him. Jabbir and his selfie stick came into the picture... "Wassup beautiful people, what a lovely morning it is, ain't it?!. We just wanna do a little catching up on my little cousin Zoe blue. Y'all remember her right?. So today is Zoe's first day of school... Wish her luck famzzzzz." He shoved the phone towards her face. Zoe looked away shyly. "Stop!." She said, letting her hair fall over her face. "I'm going to kill it at work today. Wish me luck. Bye." Jabbir finished. Jahim resting against the counter with a can of beer in his hand ran his eyes all over Zoe. "What's with that outfit?." She pulled at her hoodie cap."It's going to be cold outside." "You look stupid." Jahim tossed the empty can into the trash and walked out of the kitchen, has a*s shaking in his shorts. . Jamal frowned and said after him. “No she doesn't!. You're the one in a crop top!." "Please stop!." Irene snapped. "Zoe can wear whatever she wants even if it's an oversized hoodie." The blue's all had a first day at a new school advice for Zoe, after she told them she had been homeschooled most of her life and this was the first real school she would be attending, they all had something to say. Jabbir and Jamal had more advises than others about Zoe's school, since they passed out from them. They were 24, and Jabbir was a lawyer while Jamal had his own fitness gym. "Hillary Beaver high reaches high into the sky of dreams, a perfect school for a splendid highschool experience. A place to learn, love, get heart broken, have crushes, get jealous and lots of fun school activities." "Gooodd mornnniinng." Jaffy sang sliding into the kitchen on a scate board drawing the attention he was hoping for. Sally had taken him for a while to get him dressed. Jaffer looked absolutely adorable, clad in a brown school blazer and grey trouser, he curly brown hair was styled and cut properly. He had a wife grin on his light cute face with dimples visible on both cheeks. "Jaffer that's mine." Jamil whinned. "Mummy said I could have it." As soon as he said it he fell off the skate board. "Don't get all dirty before school little man." Jamal lifted him up high and the little boy giggled uncontrollably. **** "If you need anything at all you can let me know okay?. If anything happens I'll be there to protect you okay?. I'll make sure you're safe and don't talk to bad boys or girls with mean faces." Jabbir was driving Zoe, Jaffer, and Jamil to school in his car. Jaffer wouldn't stop talking on the way. "Aww shut up Jaffer. You're going to be 600 miles far from her in nursery school, you don't have to be so clingy." Jamil rolled his big brown eyes. "I can still protect her anyway." Jaffer little hand reached out to touch Zoe's. Zoe appreciated it and held him too. Although he was still strapped to a baby seat. "Jaffer and Jamil, it's time for you to get down." Jahim announced. "Finally." Jamil muttered. "I'll help him down." "No No No!. I want Zoe to help me." He whined a frown spreading over his cute face. "Don't be a bother and get down already." Jamil unbuckled the belt around him. They all watched as Jaffy went through the gates of Hillary Beaver kindergarten before they drove further to Hillary Beaver elementary school where Jamil dropped off, then up again to Hillary Beaver high school for Zoe to drop down. "Good luck. Try to actually talk cuz, yunno that's how you'll be able to communicate." Jabbir said trying to sound friendly. "Thanks. I'll try my best." Zoe didn't see any reason to be nervous at all, it was just school, no biggie. She was clad in large black hoodie with 'Wish girl' boldly written in front and large black denim trouser with a black sneaker. Dressing up was not in Zoe's diary, especially shine she had a gloomy light. Jamal even tried to get her to change her clothes about four times. She styled her hair over her eyes in a fringe manner and made sure one third of her face was hidden beneath her hair and she topped it by drawing her hood safely on her head, no one could quickly recognize her unless she swooped her hair away from her face. Her school uniform was a late notice fiesta, she was joining three weeks after the semester had started, her uniform wasn't ready yet, late notice. "Homeroom 6." She repeated to herself. "Easy peasy." She got wierd stares and glances as she swam around the students. Mostly everyone was dressed in their complete uniforms. White shirts , accompanied by deep red blazers. Brown, white and black striped skirts for girls, same for boys except with long pants. "There it is." Zoe heaved a satisfied sigh. Homeroom 6 was right in front of her eyes. She went in noticing stares but ignored. The class suddenly grew silently wondering who the new girl was and why she was dressed—that way. She noticed an empty seat at the middle of the room and sat down. She felt something scratch at her back and she immediately removed her bag pack and dropped it on the floor. She had squeezed poor snow. Zoe managed to glance around from under her hair, the class was huge and beautiful. A big black stand stood with a small microphone right in front of the class, the teachers stand she assumed. More students trooped in duos and trios chatting and laughing, almost everyone stopped to stare at her like she was an alien. Two particular guys made a grand entrance, immediately they walked in the girls in the class began to act wierd, the laughed and shrieked and waved at both boys. "Felix! Noah!". They chanted happily. Zoe saw one of the boys smiled but the other wore an indifferent expression, completely blank. "I dropped a letter in Felix's locker in the morning. Do you think he saw it?." A girl whispered behind Zoe. "He definitely did, 100 percent sure he just flung it down the hall like always." Another replied. "Just don't tell anyone. I don't want Juliet and Iman bulling me over it. Those two girls scare me." "I know right. I mean what is their f*****g problem, Noah and felix won't date either of them so why try to bully any girl that goes near them." "Keep your voice down, they might walk in any moment now and bite your head off." Eavesdropping was a bad thing but it was hard not to. She flinched as a teddy bear hit her feet, then immediately a girl with blonde hair ran out crying. She looked down and saw a brown teddy bear lying down at her feet. The little bear held a heart shaped embroidered pillow that says: 'Roses are red Violets are blue My love for you makes me hue Be my love and we shall ride to the blues Xoxoxo please be my boyfriend Felix' "Ohh." Zoe was confused. Now what!. "All right everyone settled down." A female teacher strolled in with a big black book. She tapped her table continuously until the noise died down. She was dressed in a black tailored suit and she had a small cut red hair, she looked young. Her name was Ms. Merkel, Mr Collins had told her about her home room teacher. As soon as everyone was settled she spoke again. "Good morning my dear students. A happy Monday morning, I hope you're all ready for a productive week. Listen up! I'll call out your names." The door suddenly flew open making absolutely everyone flinch and turn towards the door. Everyone watched as the two hottest chicks strolled. "Iman and Juliet!". Now it was the boys turn to drool. One was dark skinned, smooth black glowing skin, absolute Melanin goodness, red wavy hair flow like a gentle lake down her neck stopping at her waist. Her eye balls were same shades of red [Contact lense, not natural]. She was tall and looked solid like a princess. No wonder the guys were staring with open mouth at her. The other girl was a contrast. She had spotless light skin which she exposed to everyone's sight. Blue tips decorated her jet black hair that reached her waist, she had deep blue eyes that looked seductively dazzling. Both girls had perfectly carved faces and body which they exposed bravely. Their skirts were short reaching just below their butt line. Tight fitting blazers hugging their flat taunt middle, their socks and bags were decorated with butterfly prints, even their hair clips were butterfly shaped. The two girls could be mistaken for goddesses. "Iman and Juliet. Take your seats. You're late already." Ms. Merkel told them. Then all of a sudden the light skinned girl eyes drifted to Zoe, she held a cold stare in her deep blue eyes that frightened Zoe. Slowly, she strolled to Zoe, her heart skipped a beat. Zoe looked down. She reached Zoe and kicked her desk to make Zoe flinch and look up at her. "You're in my seat." She shouted coldly. Oh oh. Oh no. Zoe was startled. "Oh that's the new girl. Juliet please find somewhere else to seat." Ms. Merkel said. 'Juliet' didn't bulge. "Get your silly tiny a*s off my chair!." She snapped at Zoe. "Ohhwww." The others laughed at Zoe. Zoe didn't know when she shut out of the seat. She stood still hoping she could just vanish. "Here take your trash too." Juliet flung her bag pack in her face. Zoe felt back on her butt as her bag hit her face. "Oh no!. Juliet. Be nice to the new student. Make space for her to seat on." Ms. Merkel's tone was so weak no one listened to her. Zoe could feel her stomach tightening as she stood up from the floor, her eye balls got moist as she tried to look around from beneath her hair to find another seat. She stepped back and tripped over her own foot, before she could stop herself she fell back and bumped her butt on someone's lap. "Oh my gosh." "Heyy." Voices exclaimed, mostly the girls, even Juliet exclaimed. Zoe became even more frightened, her gaze fell to the face who's lap she was on. "I'm so sorry. I.." she started to apologize. Before she could complete her statement, the guy pushed her off him and Zoe fell forward again bumping her head on a desk this time. "Ohhhhhhhhh." They bickered laughing hard at Zoe. Her face tightened and she began to cry. She stayed on the floor on all fours trying not to sob out loud. She wanted to die at that moment. "Felix did the right thing." Juliet said throwing the doll Zoe saw at her feet the other time at Zoe. "She's a new student and she's already throwing herself at Felix." Juliet said and laughed. "Here. Take my hand." A male voice said. Zoe looked up through tears filled at the guy that had stood in front of her. He looked familiar, wait he came in with Felix.... didn't he?....
