The Nightmares

I was only 11yrs old when momma and papa separated, mum took me with her. Few years later she met this new guy and they got married.They were crazy for each other I must confess but you know what they say " not all that glitters are gold". Mum works at a housing agency while her husband ,well don't really know for sure his work but mum says he does multiple jobs and that he is a hard working man, while I think so too. One faithful weekend mum's sister called,she was down with a flu and had no one to take care of her except my mum. My mum left me in the care of her husband for the weekend to take care of her sister and that was when my nightmares started. And like a dream or fate one couldn't escape and it sipped the life out of me,I was no more the same girl people used to know. My life was full of ups and downs,my perfect normal life became a whole nightmare because of one man. I knew I was a strong girl,strong enough to overcome this,at least that's what I said to myself, "you can do this Anna, we've got this". Tears ran down my cheeks because I knew I was lying to my self right now. Why can't I hold myself,why can't I fight this nightmare? I questioned myself,my parents were worried that I might loose my sanity. That filthy son of a b***h,mum screened out. Am sorry baby it was all my fault mummy lamented,I tried as much to smile and assure her that I was fine and that it wasn't her fault. Uncle Stephen tried to r**e not because of her but because he was a beast, then smiled telling her the authorities will make him pay for that already.
