Unforgiveable

Ana and I

                                                                           Marquans Pov:

                                      " Baby please don't let this get to you. Yes, she is my ex girlfriend but I promise I do not want her in the way that I want you! That was 12 years ago ! I'm just going over there to do some renovations because her and her husband couldn't afford any other contractors." I pleaded with my now very emotional and very jealous girlfriend.

                                     "Oh yeah f*****g right Marquan", she said with true disbelief in every word I had just said to her.

                                    " You expect me to believe that your very hot ex-girlfriend couldn't find anyone else to do the renovations? She could have done or said anything with those contractors and I'm sure they would have done them for free! She just wants you! You don't think I notice how you guys have been avoiding each other at work, how weird you two act around each other? I guess you forget I'm a woman also huh?", she said rolling her eyes.

                                     At this point I was a little hurt because she was right there was a reason we were both avoiding each other. But how could I tell her what I witnessed without causing issues between her and Crissy or breaking Crissy's trust. I would lose my top chef and I would lose my girlfriend. That I just could not do!

                              " Baby listen." I said grabbing her by her waist pulling her closer to me.

                                " I do NOT want Crissy I promise. Nothing happened at work I just avoid her because I don't wan't you to start feeling like i'm being to friendly with her knowing she's my ex. She already paid me 15,000 dollars to work in her home. I promise nothing will happen and that I will only be there to work. If you want I'll ask her if you can come as well. Will that make you feel more comfortable?" I said low key hoping she wouldn't want to come. I didn't want to cheat on Ana but i'm not gonna sit here and deny that I didn't like the thought of getting to know Crissy a little better and becoming at least friends with her. I knew that with Ava around that would be impossible.

                                  " I'm sorry Marquan but i'm gonna go with my gut instinct. You either give Crissy back that money and let her find her own contractor or we aren't gonna work out, " she said with tears in her eyes.

                                  " So let me get this straight. I tell you that you can come and be a fly on the wall. I tell you that I don't wan't her. I tell you that she's already given me 15,000 dollars and you still don't trust me?" I said at this point getting annoyed and angry.

                                " If that's how you feel then Ana maybe we should take a break until you feel like you can trust me. A relationship with no trust just isn't going to work. So what's it gonna be ?" I said with sadness in my voice.

                              " Well then I guess I'll see you around huh? I can't believe your gonna choose some b***h who's already left you once. You know what I'm glad your choosing her. I can't wait for her to break your heart AGAIN!" she yelled as she snatched her coat and slammed my door.

                           Should I go after her? Should I take back what I said? No no no I need to let her cool down. But she had valid points. Why did I decide to chose renovations at my ex's house over Ana? Were my feelings deeper than what I felt I already knew? I don't know but I do know that I don't want to lose Ana. Maybe I can work out a way that I can do the renovations without Ana knowing.

I decided that I would type up a fake business letter from another restaurant from another state asking me to come and chef there every other weekend for 6 months. I had to get Ana back I was not ready to let her go but I also knew I couldn't let Crissy down. Only thing now was to let Crissy in on the secret because she would have to pick me up from the airport after Ana dropped me off. I also had to somehow convince her to let me stay the weekend at her place while I " was away".
