Desmond packed the last item into his bag pack and started to put out the fire,he took longer than usual to do everything maybe because he wasn't ready to turn around and face Nile,he was aware that she was staring at him and he couldn't deal with her now,he had no idea what he'd sy to her,this was so unlike him,he was usually smooth and a sweet talker,he smiled,maybe he was loosing his touch,just a few days with this girl,he shook his head in wonder.

Nile stared at him as he knelt with his back to her doing what? she had no idea.As she watched him,so many emotions rushed through her all at once,anger,satisfaction,irritation.She was angry at the way he had reacted to kissing her,she was satisfied by the anger she'd seen on his face when she'd walked away from him pretending to be unaffected by his words and irritation because she just saw a slight movement of his jaws as if he was smiling.How dare he smile after treating her like one of those loose women picked from clubs? Nile felt like pushing him over or slapping that smile right off his handsome face,her fists clenched at this thought,she would really love to do that but it would prove to him that she had been hurt by his words and the wasn't going to give him that satisfaction so instead,she tried to brush her hair with her fingers trying to make it look neat.

Desmond finally stood up,he couldn't keep kneeling down forever, he had to take her sooner or later.He walked towards her" we need to go,it's a long way", Nile frowned suddenly" a long way to where? where're you taking me? what do you intend to do with me?".Desmond felt guilty and ashmed but said anyway"you'll soon find out,let's go".When they got to the edge of the forest,they both stopped,the beach was packed full with people a lot of which were couples either kissing,holding hands or taking pictures,they both thought of the little time they'd shared together,the kiss they'd shared and Desmond wished that things were different and they were free to be together,he turned towards Nile and stared at her as she stared across the sea,she was smiling and he could guess why,she looked really pretty with her hair pulled back,he just stared at her and he had this overwhelming feeling to tell her everything,to tell her how he really felt and how sorry he was about hurting her,Nile was so lost in the beauty of the sea that she hadn't notice him staring at her,when she turned,she found him staring at her,he had this look in his eyes that made her forget all his hurtful words,it seemed like he wanted to say something, was he going to apologise to her? Nile smiled inside at the thought but instead,he seemed to have came back to his real self and said instead" I'll have to bind your hands,I can't ride you trying to escape here", Nile almost exploded,she was furious she turned quietly and gave him both her hands to tie behind.Desmond almost wished the ground could open up I swallow him for doing this to her,her quiet compliance didn't help matters either.He was so taken with thoughts of her that he almost misseed the security forces patrolling the beach and asking questions.They were no doubt searching for the princess,he had no idea how they were gonna walk past all the security forces,given the way he'd acted towards her so far,he had no doubt she'd scream for help if she saw them.With her hands binded,he held her closely and they walked quickly along the edge of the forest trying as much s possible not to raise any suspicions.Unfortunately,a security officer across from them saw them and signaled to his friend,his when his friend took out his walkie talkie,Desmond had no idea what was gonna happen,he just kept walking,really fast almost dragging her along.Juat as the security officers were started running towards them,a dark blue pick up truck on full speed parked in front of them and opened the doors,without hesitating,Desmond pushed Nile inside quickly and got in,as the took off,the heard guns fired at the vehicle.There were two men inside the car,they were the boss' men,Desmond asked"what are you guys doing here?",one of them said" and here,I thought you were gonna thank us for saving your ass".Desmond shrugged but said nothing,the other man spoke" the boss asked us to keep an eye on you,it's good thing he did or you'd be dead meat by now" and turning to Nile,he continued"she's pretty,did you do her,I know you, you can't resist beautiful rich women and this one is a princess".Desmond was furious but before he could say anything, she answered"at least he likes rich and pretty,what about you p*****t? with the way you look,I doubt you have any preference".The guy was mad at this insult and lifted his hands to slap her but restrain himself" go ahead,why don't you hit me you coward and let's see how manly and strong you are".Desmond smiled at her courage and audacity,she was bold, fearless and could stand up for herself,she was his kind of woman.

The truck turned to an isolated bushy road with potholes and headed towards the former health center that had been deserted for many years.When they got there,they all went out of the truck,Nile looked at the abandoned building and fear gripped her,the man she'd insulted seemed to have notice,he looked at her and smiled in a mischevious way,Nile was shaking,Desmond held her close and smiled down at her,she was sure he wouldn't let anyone hurt her.They went inside,there were cars packed at the back,there were several men inside with guns but Desmond didn't recognise any of them,he was surprised and asked"who are these people".One of the boss' men who'd carried them said" these are sent by the boss,they work for his new business partner".Desmond sized the men up" no,this wasn't part of the deal,am suppose to deliver to the boss". The man answered" the boss himself sent these men,you deliver you walk,you have kept your end of the deal so I suggest you walk,unless you want trouble".Desmond looked around,they were almost 15 men all together". He just gave a forced smile" what does the boss plan on doing with her?".The man walked and stood in front of him" that's none of your business now is it?".Nile turned to Desmond" please dont leave me here,you don't even know these people,please,I beg of you,don't leave me".Desmond couldn't look her in the eyes,he also couldn't say anything,he had no choice,he couldn't fight all those men and even if he did,the boss was gonna hunt him down,he lifted his head,looked Nile straight in the eyes and then turned and walked away,leaving her,hurt,afraid and heart broken.As soon as Desmond's back was turned,the man she had insulted walked towards her and said" not so bold now are we?".Nile spat in his face,the man lifted his hands to slap her but one of the men shouted" back off,she is needed alive and unharmed". The man murmured a curse,Nile was forced into a car and they drove off.She watched through the window as Desmond walked away,never looking back,not once.
