Desmond was getting tired and scared as he ran through the streets of mille 4 ,this was usually fun.He would run laughing and daring the boss' men to catch him if they could,he knew they always got tired and gave up,but this morning,they weren't giving up,infact,they were so many,caming out of every street as he ran.Had scattered he boss his men all over town just to catch him? These men meant business today and it was a matter of time before they caught him Desmond thought.If he is caught,then he will have no more excuse to give the bosd,so,it'll be wise to surrender,with this plan in mind,Desmond stopped running,turned to face the people chasing him and knelt down with his hands up.The men stood in a circle around him,the biggest of them held both his hands behind his back and lifted him to his feet. " Come on guys,this is no way to treat a brother,am one of you you know", no reply,just scornful looks that told him they were not really pleased that he had made them run this much and if they had their way,they'd shoot him right there.Desmond was taken to the Coco bongo casino owned by Paul,his former boss.He was escorted to Paul's office. " boss,your boys told me you wanted to see me,so I came with them" Desmond said immidiately he entered the office." came with us? that's not true boss,we caught him, almost gave me a heart attack running like crazy" one of the men said.Desmond looked him over and said mockingly" almost anything can give you a heart attack, you really should exercise more" and turning to the boss,he said" I wasn't running,just having a little fun with your men,didn't know it'll upset them".The boss gave a long drag on his cigar ,blew the smoked to the air,placed the still burning cigar in the ash tray and asked Desmond to sit,when he said he'd rather stand,one of Paul's men lifted his shirt,reaveling a gun,Desmond quickly sat down.The boss motioned to his men to leave them alone.Desmond knew he was in deep s**t. The boss sat down and went straight to the point" you owe me a lot of money and we both know you can't pay me back even in a million years"Desmond shrugged and swallowed hard,probably because he knew this was true,the boss smiled and said" but,there's good news,I need you to do a little favor for me and we can call it even".Desmond stood up straight" what kind of favor are we talking about?".The boss picked up his still burning cigar from the ash tray and put in his mouth" I need you to steal for me as payment for your depts".This time,it was Desmond who smiled,stealing was his specialty, this sounded interesting to him" what,when and from whom am I stealing ?".The boss smiled" a rare Jewel,from king Azuka's palace".Desmond thought to himself,the palace was heavily guarded but he could get past the security if he planned well,it maybe hard but not Impossible,he said"and if I steal this Jewel for you,then I owe you nothing?, your men will stop haunting and threatening me?"The boss answered" yes,I give you my word".Desmond smiled,he couldn't wait to be free from the boss' claws,he stretched his hands for a handshake saying" then,we have a deal".The boss took the hand,shook it and said" we have a deal,my men will get to you on the details". With this,Desmond left the Coco bongo casino to go prepare for his mission. Nile heard footsteps approaching the Chambers,she thought it was a guard bringing her food,she had no appetite for food,all she wanted was to leave this place and go far away but for some reason she was bound hands,feet and her mouth was duck taped so no matter how much she screamed, no one could hear her.Suddenly,she heard screams and noises as if people were fighting,before she could think of what to do,the door to her Chambers break open and the most gorgeous man she had ever seen stood at the doorway,Nile couldn't catch her breath and if her mouth weren't duck taped,she was sure they'd have fallen open.The man walked to her,loose her,lifted her to her feet and said" am prince williams,your knight in shining armor and am here to take you far away from here".Nile looked up at him,smiled and fell into his arms but strangely there was someone shaking her and saying " princess,princess,it's time". Nile turned,opened her eyes only to discover that she was in her bedchambers and her maid was standing by her bed.She sat up in bed and gave a long sigh,she was dreaming again,she really had to stop reading all those romance novels,they were creaping into her dreams a lot these past few days."Good morning my princess,am sorry but you overslept and the King has been waiting for you on the terrace,that's where he wants you two to have breakfast".Nile got out of the bed slaugishly and stretch herself,she turned to the maid and said" thank you Martha,please tell my father I'll be with him in a bit". The maid turned to leave but then she turned back towards Nile as if she suddenly remembered something important and asked" do you need help getting ready my princess?". Nile smiled" no thank you Martha,I'll be fine". Nile said a short prayer and in 20 minutes she was on the terrace with her father.Her father was seated with his back to Nile looking at the garden,Nile hugged him from behind and planted a peck on his cheek" good morning your majesty, am sorry for keeping you waiting". The King turned,stood up and pulled out a chair for his daughter" good morning darling,its ok,I don't mind waiting I was enjoying the garden,I love what you have done to the place,it's beautiful". Nile smiled " thanks,it's not like I have anything better to do,as much as I love tending the garden,it gets boring sometimes,I mean it's all I do everyday because you refuse to let me go anywhere, I just don't get why".The King didn't respond to that,he ordered the maid with a hand to serve the breakfast,Nile decided to let it be so they can eat before fighting.After the dishes were carried away,the King asked Nile" what preparations have you made for Vinnie's arrival? he will be here in two days". Nile pretended to look surprise" uncle Vinnie is visiting,ha,I must have forgotten though I don't see why I should prepare for that,I mean it's not like he's a stranger,he cames here all the time"The King looked a little annoyed at her response"we talked about this princess,you know why he's caming". Nile looked at her father sadly" we talked about it and if I remember correctly,I made it clear to you that I won't marry that man,how can you ask me to do this father? he is almost as old as you,I grew up calling him uncle". The King looked away as if he understood where she was caming from" you are a princess and future queen of this kingsom,these are some sacrifices you must make for the kingdom". Nile stood up in frustration and facing her father she said" father you know I love you and this kingdom but what about my happiness,what about love,what will my future be like?doesn't that mean anything to you anymore?.The King looked uneasy, he knew exactly what his daughter was going through,he had been forced to marry too and at the time he wasn't pleased with the idea but as time went on,they had grown to love each other and things had turned out fine,he hoped it will be the same for his daughter" am sorry honey,there is no other way,believe it or not am doing this to secure your future and that of this kingdom and someday you'll see that". Nile just looked at her father,shook her head sadly and ran to her badchambers.The king breath out heavily shaking his head.
