“ The Girl Earlier. ”

“ Sorry Ma’am I’m late.” The girl said.

“ And you are?” Mrs. Razon said asking the girl who just entered the room.

“ I’m Marga, I’m also one of your students po, sorry for being late.” Marga replied.

“ It’s okay, since It’s the first day I will turn a blind eye on this one, BUT dont be late again in my time okay? Introduce yourself first to your classmates.” Ma’am said calmly

Maureen focus her attention on the girl infront and she realize na Marga was the girl she bumped on earlier. That mataray girl. She didn’t expect na from thousand of med students eto pa magiging kaklase niya. What a small world after all.

“ Hi, it’s me Margareth Natashia Sanchez. Nice to meet y’all, btw hi to that girl who bumped on me this morning, sorry.”

“ Short introduction indeed, you may take that empty seat beside Maureen.” Mrs. Razon said.

“ Now everyone knows each other, except sayo marga you missed the chance to know them, but u can be updated naman later on.” Mrs Razon added.

MARGA’S POV

Im in a hurry papuntang St. Martin de Porres Building, late na ko sa first class ko sa kadahilanang nang galing pa ko sa may lovers lane dahil tinawagan ako ng aking kaibigan and she said na nandoon daw ang lalaking matagal ko ng gusto.

Worst scenario may nakabangga pa sakin na isang babae kanina, ang weird niya lang kasi naka mask pa siya. Akala ba niya may covid pa?!

Pero I kinda felt guilty din kasi mukhang napasobra ata yung pagkamataray ko sa kanya. Dala lang ng emosyon ko sa pagmamadaling makarating sa Lovers Lane.

I can’t miss the chance na makita siya. Matagal ko na siyang gusto since high school pa lang. He’s my Daily Dosage of happiness specially everytime na magpopost siya ng pictures niya.

That’s why when I saw the picture of my friend and my crush. I can’t belive my eyes. He’s here nga sa UST.

I put aside everything and dali-dali nang nagtungo kung san siya nakita ng friend ko. I’m really jealous to my friend kasi nakapagpapicture siya sa crush ko, I was really hoping na maabutan ko pa siya sa lovers lane.

Sadly she said na may kasama daw itong babae? Idk if that’s true but I want to find out. I wanna see that girl, it’s impossible naman na mas maganda pa siya saken.

And the moment na nakarating na ko sa Lovers Lane, he’s not there anymore. Mukhang nakaalis na siya. It kinda made me sad. Kasi after years of having a crush on him I thought na finally makikita ko na siya in person. Pero hindi. Wala na siya. Nakaalis na.

Now I’m late and nagmamadali na akong tumakbo papunta sa building where in my first class will start. I’m 20 minutes late na, I’m afraid na ma lecture-an agad ni ma’am in my first day, but I can’t blame her. Its my fault anyway.

“ Why is everything so messed up. Nothing’s going according to my plan.Haysss.” Bulong ko sa sarili.

Nakarating na ‘ko sa 4th floor and papunta na ko sa room. I can hear a voice, I think he’s introducing himself right now.

After the guy stopped I decided to enter the room na. Everyone is looking at me. I know I’m pretty but I also know na they are all looking at me because im late. Oh God please help me on this one.

I keep on praying na sana di ako mapagalitan ni ma’am. Thankfully good mood si maam and wag ko na lang daw uulitin na malate sa time niya.

She asked me to introduce myself and as I look into the right side of the room there is this one girl who caught my attention.

Hindi ako nagkakamali. Siya nga. Siya yung babaeng nakabangga saken kanina. Kahit nakamask siya kanina I can still see the resemblance from her eyes and hair. Ang ganda niya. I can’t believe someone like her exist. I’m jealous.

I remember na nasungitan ko pala siya kanina so I included her in my introduction.

“ btw hi to that girl who bumped on me this morning, sorry.” I added.

She look at me. Our eyes met. I know she already knows na ako yung nabangga niya.

Mrs. Razon told me to seat at the empty chair which was beside that girl.

“ So Maureen pala ang pangalan niya.” Bulong ko sa sarili.

“ Hi Maureen, I saw u again. Sorry kanina ah. I was just really stress and nagmamadali that time that’s why i kinda lost my temper. I hope we can be friends.” I said habang nakangiti sa kanya.

MAUREEN’S POV

Marga sat beside me. She spoked to me first. It was all a misunderstanding lang pala. I understand her, sometimes you really just lose yourself when you are at that point.

“ No, don’t say sorry. In the first place it’s my fault naman. Im sorry again. Yeah let’s be friends Marga!” I replied to her.

“ I hope, we clear everything na. Sana di ako nakaiwan ng bad impression sayo.” Marga said habang nakangiti.

“ No, Not at all. Don’t worry.” I said.

I guess Marga wasn’t bad naman, maybe wrong timing lang talaga pagkikita namin kanina. Now everything is clear na and no more misunderstanding. I’d like to be her friend. She looks cool.

Maybe fate is playing on us. Who would think na that girl I bumped on earlier will be my seatmate and friend???

Everything was so perfect, something really is bothering me. Why is it so perfect?!!

“ Guys prepare your things na, we will start the freshmans tradition in 3 minutes. I hope all of you are excited. I also participated on this back when I was in my first year of college here.”

Everybody is busy preparing their things. Mrs. Razon said na this yearly tradition is basically just entering the arch which is called “ The welcome walk.”

I am excited because it means na my college journey will begin na. And it feels good to have such an experience in your life. A once in a lifetime experience indeed. Can’t wait to get over that Arch.
