Soon, the first day of school arrived. Logan came to Alex’s home early in the morning.
“Hurry up, Alex! We’re gonna be late!” Logan said, running to the door.
Alex finished getting dressed. “I’ll come out in a second!” he replied. He rushed out of the house with his backpack, shouting, “I’m leaving, mom!”
“Take care!” Ava called out, watching the two boys walk away.
After a period of recovery, Logan felt much better. As long as he didn’t overdo it, he didn’t feel any pain.
“It’s a good day,” Alex said, drawing a deep breath. The warm sunshine and fresh air felt good against his skin.
“It’s been a warm winter. We didn’t even get to see snow. I thought I could build a snowman,” Logan said with a sigh, pushing his glasses up his nose.
