19 Chapter 19: Anguish
After Dorian and Xia’s capture, the tension in the city continued to rise. Riots and protests broke out in larger numbers, storming their way across the city. Inside the castle, Rin woke surrounded by the lonely hum of silence in a darkened cell. His eyes struggled to adjust to the darkness but managed to make out the phantom shapes of torture devices. The figure of a man sitting in a chair in front of him slowly came into focus. Rin’s arms hung above his head at a slight angle. He tried to move and realized he had been firmly chained to the wall behind him.
