The Witch and the Boy who Loved Her

Week 1+ Outline

  Ideas:

1- Young girl is a powerful witch moves in with grandmother after parents die.

2- Boy meets girl as children.

3-Boy disappears after the summer and reappears 10 years later.

4-A curse tries to keep them apart.

5-They fight for each other.

Plot:

Part 1- Layla is 16, it is her Jr. year in high school. On the first day of school she sees her old friend Peter. He had left when they were kids without saying good bye.  

Part 2- Peter returns on the first day of school. After an emotional reunion Peter and Layla find out that a spell had been cast on Peter to keep them apart. 

Part 3- After they start trying to go back to normal life they notice something is off about Layla. Layla's powers are starting to act up. She can't seem to control them anymore. She tries to hide them.

Part 4- With her powers getting dangerous and seeming to focus solely on hurting Peter, Layla finally decides to tell her grandmother what is going on. Grandmother then proceeds to tell her a prophecy about Peter and her. About how she was to suffer without love. If love ever found her she would be punished by uncontrollably killing the one that loved her. 

Part 5- Not wanting to accept this Peter and Layla decide they are going to try to break the curse. Grandmother tries to convince them it would be better if they just ended the relationship but they refuse. She then gives them an old book describing the curse and the ancient crone that cast the spell. 

Part 6- Following the advice in the book the pair set off into the haunted woods behind Grandmothers house in search of the crone. With Layla's powers growing more and more unsteady. 

Part 7- They must over come obstacles in the woods and the ones caused by Layla's powers.
