Chapter Twelve
A Bright Future
Caitlin and Sam were still asleep in each other’s arms when Catherine and Diana came into the bedroom very quietly. They shared knowing glances and pounced on the bed, one on each side of them.
“Wake up, you two,” Catherine urged.
“Wake up,” Diana echoed.
Caitlin said to Sam sarcastically, “I thought we were alone, my dear Sam.”
“It looks like we have been discovered,” he answered her.
“You bet you have, and we are going to do terrible things to both of you,” Catherine promised, whereupon she pounced on Sam and began kissing him madly. He pushed her off and grabbed her in a bear hug.
Diana watched their interplay with amusement and curiosity.
“Give her to me, Sam,” Caitlin demanded, “I know exactly how to deal with her.”
