Chapter 72

814 Words
Osborn entered wearing a red suit, with Blade standing behind him, his eyes sharp and a new katana at his side. Taking the main seat, Osborn glanced around the room. None of the other gang leaders dared to meet his gaze; they all looked down. Satisfied, Osborn nodded. His authority in Z City remained intact. He spoke, “I issued the red notice today and called you all here for one reason: to eliminate V&E Group!” The room buzzed with murmurs. “V&E Group? What kind of business do they run?” “Never heard of them. When did Z City get a V&E Group?” “Does anyone know their background?” The gang leaders were curious; it was their first time hearing of V&E Group. Blade shouted, “Quiet!” Instantly, silence fell. Osborn explained, “V&E Group is a common company from M City. They recently entered our market, so it's normal you haven't heard of them.” A gang leader asked, “Mr. Frances, if V&E Group just entered Z City, why issue a red notice?” The leaders were puzzled. With Osborn's power, a small company from M City could be easily dealt with. Issuing a red notice seemed excessive. Osborn asked, “Do you know about the overnight annihilation of the Armand Joseph family? It was V&E Group that destroyed them!” The leaders' faces filled with fear. Due to Osborn, the Joseph family had some prestige in Z City. The entire family had been killed in one night, and the brutality of their deaths had left the citizens in panic. The revelation that V&E Group was behind it was unbelievable. Suddenly, curiosity about V&E Group's background grew. Seeing their curious eyes, Osborn continued calmly, “V&E Group was founded by the Joseph family from M City. They came in strong, immediately taking over all of Armand Joseph's assets. And a son-in-law of the Joseph family from M City injured Blade…” At this, everyone stared at Blade in shock. They all knew him, who hailed from a prestigious kendo family in the Far East, was very strong. Much of Osborn's current power was due to Blade's presence. The fact that a mere son-in-law from M City's Joseph family could injure him made everyone take the situation seriously. Noting their expressions, Osborn stood, his eyes cold. “Tomorrow, gather your men. We will wipe out V&E Group in one fell swoop!” All the gang leaders stood and respectfully responded, “Yes, sir!” No one dared defy Osborn's orders. The gang leaders quickly sprang into action. By dawn, over a thousand gang members had gathered. Led by Osborn, they surrounded V&E Group. Vincent was already waiting at the entrance. The ground rumbled as a massive crowd approached from all directions, encircling the building within minutes. Osborn, flanked by other gang leaders, led the charge. He stopped about a hundred meters from Vincent. Osborn squinted at Vincent, who was casually sitting in a chair, and asked, "Are you Vincent?" Vincent adjusted his hair and replied, "Exactly. You must be Osborn, right? Are you here to kneel and apologize?" The gang leaders erupted in outrage. "Who do you think you are, demanding Mr. Frances kneel and apologize? You're courting death!" Osborn smirked at Vincent. "Do you see all these men? Today, you're dead." Vincent scoffed. "All I hear are flies buzzing around me." He turned to Galahad. "Galahad, I despise flies. Take out the trash." Galahad nodded respectfully. "Yes, my lord." He then looked at Osborn and the others, issuing the command, "Go ahead." The Knights immediately raised their weapons and charged at the gang members. Seeing Vincent's small group daring to engage in hand-to-hand combat infuriated Osborn and his men. It was a blatant act of disrespect. Osborn's face twisted with rage as he roared, "Kill them all! Leave no one alive!" Thousands of gang members wielded their weapons and surged forward, engulfing the Knights. But Vincent remained unperturbed. He watched the scene unfold like a theater performance. The Knights, highly trained, left trails of c*****e in their wake. Each Knight's path was marked by the cries of fallen gang members, who collapsed with wide, uncomprehending eyes. Each one of those sixty Knights was rigorously trained by the Round Table. They had survived countless deadly missions alongside Vincent, facing adversaries far more terrifying than these gang members. Osborn's eyes turned red with fury. He couldn't believe that his five thousand men were no match for sixty of Vincent's. He suddenly remembered a rumor he'd heard at a private senator's party. There was a mysterious organization operating behind various governments worldwide. Its true name was unknown, but it had a public face known as the International Peace Corporation. The actual leader of this corporation, whose real name was a mystery, was widely known as the codename "King Arthur."
