Chapter 81

Vincent glanced at Galahad and said, "Tell me about the underworld connections in Nacehope City." Galahad nodded. "The Azure is the top gang in Nacehope City, with over ten thousand members and significant influence. No one dares to mess with them. Tim is the godfather of the Azure. He's very low-key; he's been in power for twenty years, but few have seen his true face." "In addition to the Azure, there's a long-standing gang, called the Brotherhood, that's almost as powerful. The Brotherhood ruled Nacehope City's underworld a hundred years ago, but many of its key members fled overseas due to internal turmoil. Recently, they've shown signs of a comeback." "There are the Big Four Corporations, each with intricate ties to both the Azure and the Brotherhood..." Vincent nodded thoughtfully. On the surface, the Azure was the dominant gang in Nacehope City. But with the Brotherhood making a comeback and the Big Four Corporations lurking in the shadows, the city's underworld was more complex than it seemed. Vincent smiled. "Looks like Crystal showed up at the perfect time. She's our way into the Azure. Make sure she's well protected and wait for that spoiled brat Tyler to come knocking." "Yes, my lord," Galahad responded firmly. Knowing Tyler's character, there was no way he would let this slide. *** Starlight Entertainment was a mid-sized company in Nacehope City. Crystal was their brightest star. But now, with Crystal having offended Tyler of the Azure, the entire company was in crisis. "Tell me, where is that little b***h?" Tyler snarled at the man kneeling in front of him, whose face was swollen and bruised. Tyler looked frail, his body weakened by indulgence in s*x. He had long coveted Crystal's beauty. Today, he managed to set up a dinner and invited her over. His plan was to use the dinner to get her into bed. But to his shock, Crystal had the audacity to throw a drink in his face, disgracing him in public. What enraged him even more was that the men he sent to capture Crystal had been beaten by strangers, with now Crystal still unfound. As the son of the Azure's godfather, Tyler had never suffered such humiliation. Furious, he stormed into Starlight Entertainment and beat the company's boss senseless. Sean Roland, the boss of Starlight Entertainment, knelt on the ground and cried out, "Mr. Wright, I really don't know where Crystal went! Please, spare me!" Sean was caught in an undeserved disaster. Out of nowhere, Tyler and his men had beaten him up. Now, with Crystal missing after angering Tyler, Sean's life was at stake. Everyone in Nacehope City knew that crossing Tyler meant certain death. Tyler sneered, "You don't know? Crystal is your artist, and you don't know where she is? Now Call her to come back immediately, or I'll kill you right here." "Yeah, yeah, I'll call her right now!" Desperate to save his own life, Sean quickly took out his phone and called Crystal. *** Meanwhile, in the hotel room, Crystal was chatting happily with Emma when her phone suddenly rang. Seeing the caller ID, her expression changed dramatically. Emma asked curiously, "What's wrong?" Crystal, looking worried, replied, "It's my boss calling!" Then she answered the call. Immediately, a panicked voice cried out, "Crystal, where are you? Please, come save me!" Hearing this, Crystal asked anxiously, "Boss, what happened?" At that moment, a cold voice came through the phone. "Crystal, you may have run, but your company can't hide. Hurry back, or you'll be left to collect your boss's corpse." With that, Tyler hung up. After the call ended, Crystal's face was ashen. Emma asked urgently, "Crystal, what's going on?" With tears in her eyes, Crystal explained, "Tyler has captured my boss. He's threatening to kill him if I don't show up." "What? How can anyone be so cruel?" Emma exclaimed, furious at the news. It was clear that Tyler wouldn't stop until he had Crystal. "What are you gonna do now?" Emma asked. Despair filled Crystal's face. "What choice do I have? My boss discovered and supported me. Without him, I wouldn't be where I am today. I can't just let him die because of me." She stood up, ready to leave. Emma quickly protested, "Crystal, you can't go! You'll be walking right into a trap!" Crystal gave a bitter smile. "What else can I do?" She knew it was a trap. But Tyler's power was overwhelming, and she had no means to stand up against it alone. Emma took Crystal's hand and said, "Let's go find my husband. He'll know what to do." At that moment, Vincent walked into the room. "Honey!" Emma called out joyfully when she saw him. Vincent said lightly, "I heard what you just said. I'll go with you to meet that Tyler." Crystal hesitated for a moment. "But... Tyler has so many thugs. I don't want to drag you into this mess." Vincent dismissed her concern by saying, "Don't worry. With me around, nothing will happen to you." "But..." Crystal was still unsure. She was so aware of Tyler's immense power. Emma urged her, "Crystal, trust us. There's nothing my husband can't handle." She looked proud as she spoke, confident in Vincent's abilities. To Emma, as long as Vincent was there, there was nothing to fear. Seeing Emma's confidence, Crystal thought for a moment and then nodded. "Alright." She had no other option but to pin all her hopes on Vincent. *** At Starlight Entertainment, a sharp knife was held against Sean's throat, causing him to sweat profusely. Tyler sat in the boss's chair, looking at Sean with a cold expression. "Remember, you have ten minutes. If Crystal isn't here by then, you're dead." "No, please!" Sean cried, silently praying that Crystal would arrive soon. Tyler glanced at his watch and said indifferently, "Three minutes left. Someone, cut off one of his fingers as an apology gift!"
