Chapter 83

After driving Tyler away, Vincent smiled at Crystal. "Alright, the trouble is now over." Crystal, full of gratitude, said, "Thank you so much!" Emma took Crystal's hand. "Crystal, no need to thank us. We're friends." Crystal nodded vigorously, feeling incredibly lucky. She had been facing a desperate situation yet met Vincent and Emma, who helped her out of it. Suddenly, Sean sighed. "Crystal, I've decided to shut down Starlight Entertainment. I think it's best if you find another company." Crystal looked shocked. "Boss, What gives? I think Starlight Entertainment is killing it." Sean looked dejected. "Even though Tyler was driven away this time, he won't give up. He'll come back to cause more trouble. I'm just a small businessman; I can't afford to offend someone like Tyler." Sean had almost been killed this time. He didn't want to risk his life again. "But..." Crystal looked troubled. If Sean closed Starlight Entertainment and now she's on Tyler's bad side, no other entertainment company in Nacehope City would dare to hire her. All that hard-earned fame she had build would vanish, and her career would be ruined. Suddenly, Vincent spoke up. "How about selling the company to me?" Sean looked surprised. "Sell it to you?" Vincent nodded. "Yes, we just arrived in Nacehope City and need a place to start. Your Starlight Entertainment seems perfect." "But..." Sean hesitated. "You've already offended Tyler. He'll definitely come back to bother you." Vincent smiled confidently. "Tyler? He's not on my radar at all. If he dares to come after me, I'll make him regret it." Sean was speechless for a moment. Only Vincent in Nacehope City dared to not give a damn about Tyler. Seeing Sean's hesitation, Vincent continued, "How about this? I'll offer you 300 million dollars for the company." '300 million dollars?' Sean's eyes widened in disbelief. His company was worth at most 100 million, largely due to Crystal's fame. Vincent offering 300 million was far beyond his expectations. Vincent frowned. "Is that not enough?" Sean quickly replied, "No, it's more than enough!" Sean had initially thought he would have to sell his company at a low price. When Vincent offered such a high amount, he agreed without hesitation. After signing the contract, Starlight Entertainment became Vincent's property. Crystal was still in a bit of a daze. 'How has Vincent suddenly become her boss? Would she now be working under him?' Emma, noticing her confusion, took Crystal's hand and smiled. "Chill, I'll get you back." Crystal nodded, feeling more at ease. Though she had only known Emma briefly, she could tell she was a kind person. With the acquisition complete, Vincent turned to Sean. "What are your plans now?" Sean replied, "Now that the company is yours, I plan to leave Nacehope City." Vincent suggested, "Why don't you stay and manage Starlight Entertainment as the general manager?" Sean was stunned. "You want me to stay on as the general manager?" Usually, after a company is acquired, the former owner isn't kept on due to potential complications. But Vincent was offering him the position? Vincent nodded. "Yes, I won't be there often, so the company needs a capable leader. I think you're the best fit. How about it? I'll make sure you're well-compensated, and you'll have full control over the company's operations." Sean felt deeply moved. If it weren't for Tyler's threats, he wouldn't have wanted to leave Nacehope City. "But... Tyler..." Sean hesitated. "I understand your concern. If you stay, I can guarantee your safety," Vincent assured him. With Vincent's promise, Sean nodded. "Alright! If you say so, I'd be a fool to refuse. I'll stay on as the general manager of Starlight Entertainment." Vincent smiled. "Welcome aboard!" Crystal was delighted. "Boss, this is wonderful! We can keep working together!" "Darling, I can't believe you actually bought Starlight Entertainment!" Emma said, somewhat in awe, as they left the building. Vincent chuckled. "Honey, from now on, Starlight Entertainment will be a branch of our V&E Group in Nacehope City. This way, we have a solid base of operations here." Emma smiled and said, "Thank you, dear!" She knew Vincent didn't acquire Starlight Entertainment without reason. It seemed Vincent had planned all along to use Starlight Entertainment as a branch of the V&E Group in Nacehope City. Acquiring the company was just a small matter for him. His ultimate goal was to reshuffle the entire underworld of Nacehope City. *** At the Azure. "Dad, I got beaten up!" Tyler yelled as soon as he got home. Tim sat on the couch, glancing at Tyler's swollen face resembling a pig's head. He said sternly, "Have you caused trouble again?" Tyler complained, "Dad, I got beat up this bad, and you're scolding me instead of comforting me?" Tim's face darkened as he scolded angrily, "Do you think I don't know what you've been up to outside? These years, you've been causing nothing but trouble with my influence. If I didn't protect you, you'd have been killed long ago!" Tim was deeply disappointed in his son, who had no real abilities and only played around with women. He worried that once he grew old, Tyler might not be up to taking over the Azure. Tyler, unwilling to accept this, retorted, "Dad, you're always scolding me. Now that I've been beaten up, you're still scolding me. I'm so done with this house!" With that, he slammed the door and left. 'Since my father won't help me, I'll find a way myself! I can't swallow this humiliation! I'll make Vincent pay for humiliating me today!' "You ungrateful child!" Tim exclaimed in frustration as he watched Tyler leave.
