Outside the gates of the Wright Mansion, Tim looked terrified, like a stray dog. Though he had barely escaped with his life, the dozens of Azure members were all dead. Without hesitation, he rushed inside.
"Dad, why are you back?" Lying on a hospital bed, Tyler looked up in shock.
"No time for questions. We need to leave now!" Tim's voice was urgent.
Even in this dire situation, Tim couldn't leave Tyler behind. He couldn't bear to watch his only son die, knowing that if he escaped alone, the Big Four Corporations and the Brotherhood would surely come after Tyler.
"Dad, why do we have to go? I'm still recovering," Tyler asked, confused. He was still healing from the injuries Vincent had inflicted on his lower body.
Tim had no patience left. He grabbed Tyler and said, "No more questions. We gotta leave! It's now or never!"
Tyler finally sensed the gravity of the situation and asked anxiously, "Dad, what's happening?"
With a look of grief and anger, Tim replied, "The Azure is finished. The Big Four Corporations and the Brotherhood will be here any minute to hunt us down!"
Tyler was stunned. 'The Azure, wiped out? How was that possible? It was the most powerful gang in Nacehope City City. How could it be destroyed in a single night?'
Seeing the blood on Tim's clothes and the seriousness in his expression, Tyler realized his father was telling the truth.
Fear gripped Tyler's heart. He knew what would happen to him now that the Azure was gone. He had committed countless crimes under the Azure's protection in Nacehope City. Without the gang's backing, his enemies would surely come for him. "Dad, where are we going?"
Tim's face was grim. "Our only option now is J City."
"Let's go, now!" Ignoring his injuries, Tyler hurriedly followed Tim.
Just after Tim and Tyler left, the Big Four Corporations and their men surrounded the Wright Mansion.
Sebastian waved his hand and commanded, "Go in and capture Tyler!" Countless men stormed inside, intent on capturing Tyler to force Tim to surrender.
"Mr. Raglan The mansion is empty!" A subordinate quickly reported back.
Hearing this, the faces of the Big Four Corporations's chairmen darkened. Stan muttered, "Didn't expect Tyler to run so fast!"
Spencer was equally furious. "It must have been Tim who took Tyler away!"
Sebastian snorted, "Enough talk. They can't have gone far. Chase them!"
the Big Four Corporations's men set off in pursuit once more.
Tim and Tyler had taken refuge in the suburbs of Nacehope City, at an abandoned dock.
Tyler looked around the empty dock and asked, "Dad, what are we doing here?"
Tim ignored his doubt and jumped onto a speedboat. Tyler was stunned; he had no idea his father had hidden a speedboat here.
"Stop wasting time and get on the boat!" Tim shouted at Tyler, who was still in shock.
"Got it!" Tyler scrambled aboard without hesitation.
Tim took one last look at Nacehope City, his eyes filled with nostalgia. Who knew when they would be able to return? With a heavy heart, he started the engine, and the boat roared to life. It left a trail on the water as it sped off into the night.
After Tim and Tyler had left, two figures emerged at the abandoned dock.
Galahad hesitated and asked, "My lord, are we just gonna let they two go?"
Vincent smiled faintly. "What harm is there in letting them go? Do you think he dares to seek revenge on me? Killing Tim is as easy as crushing an ant for me. But for now, he has his uses."
Galahad fell silent. He wasn't one to overthink. For him, solving problems was usually done with his fists. If King Arthur wanted Tim alive, there must be a reason.
"Let's go. Others are already waiting for us," Vincent said, leading Galahad away.
At Starlight Entertainment, now the Nacehope branch of V&E Group, Benson was anxiously waiting in the conference room. He had arrived an hour ago but didn't dare interrupt Vincent, who was busy. The conference room door suddenly opened, and Vincent entered with Galahad.
"Mr. Chesterton!" Benson greeted Vincent with utmost respect.
Vincent took the main seat and nodded. "What is it?"
Nervously, Benson said, "Mr. Chesterton, I've wiped out all remaining Azure forces, but Tim and Tyler escaped. Please punish me."
Vincent waved dismissively. "They're just two dogs. It's not a big deal."
Benson sighed in relief. He had been furious upon learning of Tim and Tyler's escape, fearing Vincent's wrath. But it seemed Vincent didn't see them as a threat at all.
Benson handed over a list with both hands. "Mr. Chesterton, this is the inventory of all Azure's assets. Please take a look."
Vincent took the list and glanced at it with an impassive expression. "All of Azure's illegal enterprises, like casinos, bars, and nightclubs, will be managed by you and the Big Four Corporations. The legitimate businesses will be handed over to V&E Group's Nacehope branch. Do you have any objections?"
Benson quickly nodded. "I follow Mr. Chesterton's orders. I have no objections."
Even if Vincent had taken all of Azure's assets, Benson wouldn't dare object. Vincent was only claiming the legitimate businesses, leaving the more lucrative illegal enterprises to the Brotherhood and the Big Four Corporations. They stood to profit immensely from this arrangement.
Vincent gave Benson a meaningful look. "With the fall of the Azure, the Brotherhood has become the underground ruler of Nacehope City. Remember this: do not even think about breaking free from my control, or you will regret it."
Benson was immediately filled with fear. "Rest assured, Mr. Chesterton. I swear my loyalty to you and will never betray you."
