With a loud crash, Una was kicked out of the gate.
She clutched her backside and stared at Kennedy in disbelief. "You actually dared to kick me?"
Kennedy, sitting on the sofa with one leg crossed over the other, looked at her with disdain. "If you keep shouting, I'll kill you. Then the world will be a bit quieter."
"You wouldn't dare..." Una started, but quickly shut her mouth.
A knife was suddenly at her throat.
The sharp blade was sending chills through her skin.
Kennedy, holding the machete, smirked coldly. "Wanna guess if I dare or not?"
"Kennedy, let her go!" Franklin stepped forward and shouted.
Kennedy glanced at Franklin and said coldly, "Franklin, I'm here today to settle a score with you."
Franklin frowned. "Settle a score? What score?"
"You allowed your son-in-law to kill Norman. How do you propose we settle that?"
"Norman brought it on himself. What does that have to do with us?"
Hearing this, Edison snarled, "Franklin, you're full of lies! My dad was killed by Vincent! I want your entire family to burn in hell!"
Franklin looked at Edison, sighing. "Edison, don't let hatred blind you. It was Norman who tried to kill your grandfather. His evil intentions led to his own downfall."
Edison wasn't interested in hearing Franklin. He roared angrily, "You devil! How dare you slander my father? I'll kill you right now!"
At that moment, Kennedy intervened. "Edison, calm down."
Edison paused, looking at Kennedy in confusion. "Uncle Kennedy, aren't we here for revenge? Why..."
Kennedy waved his hand and smiled. "Revenge is necessary, but we have other matters to attend to as well."
He then turned to Franklin. "Franklin, your family has taken over all of the Joseph family's assets in M City. If you hand over everything today, maybe I'll spare you today."
Seeing Kennedy starting to negotiate with Franklin, Edison shouted anxiously, "Uncle Kennedy..."
Kennedy shot him a fierce look, silencing him immediately.
For Kennedy, revenge was just an excuse. His ultimate goal was to reclaim the Joseph family's assets and become the ruler of M City step by step.
He pulled out a contract from his jacket. "This is a transfer agreement for the Joseph family's assets. Sign this, and I'll leave immediately. I've already arranged for a lawyer to notarize it."
Right then, a lawyer in a suit with gold-rimmed glasses, appeared behind Kennedy.
Seeing this, Franklin shouted, "You’ve been a troublemaker since you were a kid. Dad kicked you out of the family, and you still dream of getting our property? That's a joke!"
Franklin knew his brother, Kennedy, had always been involved in the underworld. Handing the Joseph family to him would mean its downfall.
Hearing his proposal rejected, Kennedy snarled, "Sign now, or your whole family will die today!"
Then, dozens of armed gang members stormed into the villa.
Franklin's face turned pale. He hadn't expected Kennedy to go so far as to kill his entire family for the inheritance.
While Una, trembling with fear, watched it silently.
Just then, Emma walked into the hall from the corridor. Seeing the situation, she immediately spoke up, "Norman broke the law first, Uncle Kennedy, you..."
Before Emma could finish, Edison intercepted her and laughed mockingly, "Well, well, I didn’t expect you to be here today. I’ve been looking for you! Vincent killed my father, so you’ll watch your own father die right in front of you."
After hearing this, Emma's face turned pale as she shouted angrily, "Edison, you devil!"
Kennedy, out of patience at this time, walked up to Franklin and demanded, "Franklin, time’s running out. Are you signing or not?"
Facing Kennedy's threat, Franklin took a deep breath. "Even if you kill me, I won’t hand the Joseph family to you! I won’t let you drag us into hell!"
"You’re asking for death!"
Furious at the refusal, Kennedy raised his gun and aimed it at Franklin.
Just as he was about to pull the trigger, a voice roared, "Stop!"
At that critical moment, Stanley burst into the villa with a group of strong bodyguards.
With a wave of his hand, several guards quickly positioned themselves in front of Franklin to protect him.
Stanley surveyed the scene, relieved to see Franklin and his family unharmed. ‘If anything had happened to them in the Cloudtop Villa area under my management, Vincent would never forgive me.’
"Stanley Field!" Kennedy's face darkened upon seeing him. "Do you want me to send you to hell too?"
At that moment, a violent storm outside blew into the villa, making the place feel like an icebox and chilling everyone inside to the bone.
