"But look at us now, and with the Wild Warriors wiped out, how can we seek revenge?" Edison said, his face filled with despair.
Each encounter with Vincent had ended in utter defeat, leaving him feeling hopeless.
From being a privileged young master of the Joseph family to then a cripple with shattered legs, he feared there would be no chance for revenge, not even the chance to live!
Kennedy's face darkened. "There is a man, named Nick Johnson, from the Venom He is one of the top dogs in the M City underworld. He is my friend. I'll go to him this time and get him to kill Vincent!"
"Awesome, let's go find him now..." Edison said, excitement filling his voice.
But then he paused as he realized neither he nor Kennedy could move.
"Uncle Kennedy, can you even walk?" Edison asked.
Kennedy shook his head. "No, can you?"
"Nope." Kennedy and Edison exchanged glances, falling into silence.
Five hours later, at Angel’s Temptation.
It was the most luxurious entertainment venue in M City and owned by the Venom.
Inside a luxurious private room, Nick, surrounded by a sexy beauty, was in the midst of flirting.
Suddenly the door was pushed open.
A henchman hurried in. "Boss, something urgent!"
Nick turned around, his expression fierce. "What's so urgent that you're barging in?"
The interruption irritated him; his anger showed on his face.
The henchman nervously said, "Boss, your friend, Kennedy, the leader of the Wild Warriors, wants to see you."
"Why does he want to see me?" Nick muttered to himself and then said aloud, "Let him in!"
"Yes!" The henchman retreated.
Moments later, Kennedy was helped in, tears streaming down his face as he cried out, "Nick, you've got to avenge me!"
Nick was taken aback by the sight. "Bro, what's happened to you?"
Kennedy, with a mix of sorrow and anger, said, "Nick, my legs have been shattered, and the Wild Warriors is no more there!"
"What? Who has this kind of power?" Nick's anger flared.
Kennedy gritted his teeth. "Nick, it's Vincent Chesterton!"
"Vincent Chesterton?" Nick furrowed his brow. "There's no one by that name in the underworld here."
Kennedy, filled with resentment, said, "He's not from the underworld. He was that homeless guy who escaped from our Joseph family a few years ago."
"Homeless guy?" Nick asked in surprise. "A homeless guy did all that, turning you into cripples?"
Kennedy sighed lightly. "Nick, Vincent isn't an ordinary man. He killed my brother, seized all our family's assets, and now he's left me crippled. You must avenge me!"
"Bro, sit down first. We'll discuss the revenge later," Nick said as Kennedy and Edison, both supported by others, sat down on the sofa.
Nick looked at Edison curiously. "And who might this be?"
Kennedy introduced, "Nick, this is my brother's son, Edison."
Edison greeted respectfully, "Mr. Johnson, nice to meet you!"
Nick noticed the bloodstains on Edison's legs. "Did Vincent also cripple your legs?"
"Yes," Edison said bitterly. "That bastard broke my legs too."
"How did you two get here then?" Nick wondered. ‘With both Kennedy and Edison crippled, how did they manage to come there to find me?’
Kennedy and Edison extended their bloodied hands, tears streaming down their faces. "We crawled here," Kennedy said.
Nick was momentarily stunned, then sighed deeply. "You've been through a lot."
Turning to Edison, Nick suddenly asked, "Since you're from the Joseph family, do you know Emma Joseph?"
Edison nodded. "Yes, she's my cousin."
"A month ago, my brother Rex inexplicably offended a mysterious figure and died under suspicious circumstances. According to the club staff, my brother was last seen with Emma in this private room before he was taken away." Nick explained. Nick had spent considerable effort and money, utilizing his connections, but he still hadn't uncovered Rex's cause of death.
All he found out was that Rex had offended someone mysterious. As for who this person was, Nick had no clue.
Hearing this, Edison's face turned into shock.
"A month ago was when Vincent returned." He muttered.
Vincent, missing for five years, suddenly returned.
Upon his return, he wreaked havoc at Clement's birthday party.
Since then, the Joseph family had been living a nightmare.
"What did you say? My brother died the day Vincent returned?"
Nick stood up abruptly, shocked.
Edison affirmed, "Yes, I remember clearly. Vincent came back exactly a month ago."
"Is this the Vincent you're talking about?" Nick pulled out a photo from his pocket and handed it to Edison.
The photo was captured by the club's surveillance camera.
Though somewhat blurry, the moment Kennedy and Edison saw it, they exclaimed, "Yes, that's him! That's Vincent!"
Nick's expression turned grim. "Are you sure you're not mistaken?"
Kennedy gritted his teeth. "Even if he underwent plastic surgery, I'd still recognize him!"
Nick slammed his hand fiercely on the table, shattering the tempered glass tabletop into pieces. His eyes turned red with rage as he roared, "Finally found the bastard who killed my brother! Vincent, you son of a b***h!"
