Respectfully, Porter explained, "Miss Joseph, while Clement's Joseph family in M City was destroyed, I heard his eldest son, Franklin, rebuilt the family. They might have learned about Armand's family's tragedy and see an opportunity."
To Porter, the M City Joseph family's arrival seemed like an attempt to exploit the situation now that Armand's family was no more. The Joseph Group was undoubtedly a tempting target.
Mr. Black sneered dismissively, "This is insignificant. Why bother my lady with it? Just throw them out!"
'Traitors to the family, thinking they can grab things from the England Joseph family headquarters.' Simona chuckled contemptuously. Suddenly standing up, Simona smirked, "Let's go. Let's see what this M City's Joseph family is made of!"
Dealing with these traitors to the Joseph family would consolidate their control. Henceforth, there would only be one Joseph family.
At the entrance of the Joseph Group, Vincent impatiently demanded, "When is your head coming out? If they don't show up soon, I'm going in!"
As the King, standing firm at the door, Vincent had never faced such a delay before.
Emma restrained Vincent and advised, "Let's wait a little longer!"
Just then, Porter and his team emerged, eyeing Vincent with a stern expression. He challenged, "Who are you? Do you think the Joseph Group's security is a joke?"
Vincent met Porter's gaze and asked, "Are you in charge here at Joseph Group?"
Porter replied arrogantly, "Indeed, I am the General Manager... no, now I should say I'm the CEO."
Vincent presented a contract and said to Porter, "Whether CEO or General Manager, we're here to take over Joseph Group. This is the property transfer agreement signed by Armand before his death. Take a look and facilitate the handover."
Porter glanced at the contract and instantly felt a chill. There was a bright red fingerprint on it, unmistakably made with fresh blood!
Stepping forward, Simona exuded authority. She asked sharply, "Are you from the Joseph family in M City?"
Vincent assessed Simona and replied, "That's correct. And who are you?"
Simona asserted firmly, "I represent the England Joseph family. Regardless of any prior agreements, Joseph Group now belongs to us. You have three days to compile and hand over the asset statement of the M City Joseph family, or we will take forceful measures to reclaim our assets!"
Upon hearing this, Vincent frowned and instinctively asked, "The England Joseph family? What is that supposed to mean?"
Emma approached Vincent and whispered, "Vincent, the Joseph family originated in England. My grandfather Clement came to M City and established our branch of the Joseph family."
Assuming Vincent might not know the family history, Emma began to explain.
However, Vincent had already conducted thorough research. Had it not been for Armand repeatedly causing trouble, he wouldn't have acted so swiftly. Joseph Group was now his prize. Suddenly, this unexpected emergence of the England Joseph family wanting to stake a claim was unacceptable to him.
Vincent looked directly at Simona with a challenging expression, "Care to make a bet with me?"
Simona frowned, "What kind of bet?"
A mischievous glint appeared in Vincent's eyes as he faced the young woman before him, "Let's bet that every member of your England Joseph family will bow down to me."
As Vincent spoke, the tension in the air seemed to drop several degrees.
In a swift motion, Mr. Black moved, enraged, aiming a punch at Vincent. The air crackled around his fast-moving fist.
Emma trembled in fear at Mr. Black's aggression. A blow from him could easily incapacitate someone.
Vincent, however, remained composed. "Another assassin from your Joseph family?"
With a cold chuckle, he intercepted Mr. Black's fist with one hand and forcefully brought him down to the ground.
Simona furrowed her brows and stepped forward, "Mr. Black!"
Mr. Black glanced at Simona, intending to say something, but he suddenly felt excruciating pain in his right hand. On the ground lay a bloody severed finger.
Vincent stood protectively in front of Emma, shielding her from the gruesome sight.
He looked down at the elderly man on the ground and spoke calmly, "Consider it a lesson," he said as he held up the severed finger.
Mr. Black coughed up blood, stunning Simona. She hadn't expected Vincent to overpower Mr. Black, who had served as a resilient bodyguard in the Joseph family for years, protecting numerous important figures without a scratch.
It was surprise to find that seemingly average Vincent defeated Mr. Black.
Simona's face darkened. "Who is this man?" she thought, her expression grim as she fixed her gaze on Vincent. "Do you understand the consequences of crossing the Joseph family?" she demanded.
Vincent snorted dismissively. "Save your breath. Leave now, and I might spare your lives. Otherwise, you'll join Armand and his family."
Simona's eyes narrowed as she continued to stare at Vincent. "Did you kill the Armand family?" she pressed.
Vincent's response was brash. "That's none of your damn business!"
Simona maintained her composure. "Very well. I'll remember you. We will settle this slowly," she said firmly. With that, she helped Mr. Black to his feet and retrieved his severed finger. Without another word, she turned and walked away. She knew there was no point in staying; even Mr. Black couldn't match Vincent, so stronger help would be needed from her family to deal with him.
As Simona departed, Vincent watched her with contemplation. She had shown resilience and insight. His initial plan had been to provoke her, take advantage, and eliminate her to prevent future problems. But Simona quickly assessed the situation and left decisively. Clearly, she was preparing to call for reinforcements.
Despite this, Vincent remained unfazed. To him, Simona's departure was like a groundhog posturing aggressively—a threat without substance.
Emma asked anxiously, "Vincent, we've just provoked the England Joseph family. They won't take this lightly."
Vincent smiled confidently and replied, "Let's see if they dare to confront us."
Upon hearing this, Emma fell silent. She knew Vincent was serious.
As Simona and her group departed, Porter's face went pale. He hadn't expected the Simona and Mr. Black to leave so abruptly.
He had barely been CEO for less than an hour.
Vincent approached Porter and asked, "So, are you ready to begin transferring the assets now?"
