Beep Beep Beep Jocelyn rolled over and glanced at the alarm clock sitting on her bedside table and saw that it was 4 o’clock in the morning .With a groan she sat up rubbing her eyes knowing that it was going to be a long and strenuous day.Giving herself a small pep talk, knowing it was one day closer to her long weekend off she stumble to the kitchen to get a cup of coffee before heading off to the bathroom to start preparing for her day.Looking in the mirror while taking a tentative sip of her coffee she noticed how her long red curly hair was tangled in a knot atop her head,served her right for going to bed with wet hair. Taking one last sip of coffee,Jocelyn turned and switched the shower on she paused long enough to take off her matching lavender pajama set and panties before stepping under the spray of hot water.Jocelyn continued on with her usual morning routine,reaching for her homemade coconut scented shampoo and conditioner.She worked it into her hair then proceeded to ask yourself with her vanilla body wash.After one final rinse she turned the water off, stepped out and dried herself with one of her giant fluffy pink and gray polkadot towels.Wrapping it around herself she continued out into her bedroom to decide on an outfit for the day. Heading into her bedroom,Jocelyn stopped at her closet to decide what to wear for the day. Settling on a comfortable pair of faded jeans, white T-shirt ,forest green north face and her sturdy hiking boots, Jocelyn headed to her full length mirror. With Jocelyn’s red hair and green eyes,she didn’t need much makeup so she applied a thin layer of lip gloss and mascara and braided her hair so it lay down her back resting just above her waist. Walking through the kitchen on her way to the front door,she paused long enough to rinse her coffee cup and leave it in the sink to be washed later. Reaching the front door, she turned to shut the lights off before closing and locking the door behind her. Stopping on the porch of her little log cabin in the woods,she took a moment to enjoy the crisp fall breeze and the sounds of ducks on the nearby lake. Deciding to take advantage of the pleasant weather, Jocelyn decided to walk to the local campgrounds where she worked as a park ranger. Putting her hands in her pocket she slowly started down her gravel driveway past her trusty jeep wrangler.After a mile of walking down the road,Jocelyn started feeling as if she were being watched.The little hairs on the back of her neck stood at attention.She came to a halt and glanced around at her surroundings only seeing the trees that line the uneven gravel road and the deep forest beyond. After taking a deep breath and continuing on her way,telling herself she was imagining things, she heard rustling and the snap of a branch off to her right.stopping again she turned and saw a flash of white.Moving closer she looked again and let out a breathless laugh.She was letting herself get spooked over a deer grazing in the trees off in the distance.Chuckling to herself once more she picked up her pace, knowing that if she didn’t hurry she was going to be late opening up the main office. As she continued around the bend in the road,little did she know, it wasn’t just the deer that had taken notice of her. Hunkered down in the bushes on the left side of the road were a set of amber colored eyes that watched every move she made.
