Karen’s POV The second wave of my heat hit harder in the early hours of the afternoon. One moment, I was drifting in half-sleep, and the next, fire ripped through me again. I gasped, my back arching slightly as heat flooded my veins, sharper, more vicious than before. My body felt too small for the storm raging inside me.
