Conincidents leads to... Love?

“Aish, I’m late! I’M LATE !!!” a woman screaming her head off while practically running around her room, trying to bath and get dressed. As usual, her alarm clocks' effort was useless. Yup, that’s right. Clocks. That means many or more than one. She had three alarm clocks to wake her up at different times but this situation happened every morning. Well, she can’t help it since she’s a deep sleeper, an excuse every time somebody asks her. Let’s go back to the story. “Stupid alarm clocks. Stupid manager oppa. Why didn’t he wake me up? Now, I’m late, AGAIN!” she mumbled while getting dressed and at the same time grabbing another outfit to wear later during work. She shoved all the things she needed in the bag she always carried to work.  She also grabbed her drama script hastily before opening the door and leaving her house in a hurry. She called her manager saying that she was already up and would go down in a flash. While in a hurry, she didn’t really see her front while walking, causing her to bump into someone. BUKKK!!! She fell down on her butt and all her things were scattered everywhere. Ouch, my butt! Uh oh, my things!!! She collected her things in frantic as she realized she's already late. Opposite her, a man also fell down but it didn’t feel that hurt to him. After all, all that experience in boxing and exercise made him quite strong. He stood up immediately and gathered all his things and at the same time grabbed the lady’s things. He went near her and put her things beside her. He extended his hand to help her get up. She was busied collecting her things when a hand was in front of her. Her other things also were put in front of her. She looked up and was shocked to see the man in front of her. KIM JONGKOOK! She put her hand into his slowly and got up with his help. “I’m so sorry for bumping into you. Thank you for helping me” she bowed to him as she knew his age and he was also a sunbae in the entertainment industry. Who doesn’t know the man in front of her? She could say almost everyone in South Korea knew this man. Having a good voice with a good appearance made him a well-known singer in the country. She’s really lucky to meet this man in reality! She really likes his songs and a loyal fan of him “Oh, it’s okay. Are you okay? Did you get hurt?” asked Jongkook, worried. He scanned the lady in front of him from her head to toe and to her head again. “I’m fine. Thank you and sorry again” she said and bowed again to cover her shyness from meeting her idol. Jongkook just smiled seeing her action as he saw the pinkish tint on her cheek. He laughed inwardly, seeing the lady's cuteness. However, he could not see her face properly as she kept bowing for her mistake. When the lady has finally faced him properly, he tries his best not to gasp as he saw the beauty in front of him. Without a tiny bit of makeup, she still looks radiant to him. Her hair flows freely behind her back just right to her elbow. The color of her hair suits her and makes her look more beautiful. She’s quite tall when compared to most women. She looks at her watch after she faces the singer properly to express her sincerity asking for forgiveness. She gasped loudly as she realized she was indeed going to receive the wrath of her manager! I’M LATE!!!   “I’m sorry, but I need to go. Thanks for picking up my stuff and sorry again for bumping into you. Bye” she dashed into the lift, which was coincidentally open in time before Jongkook could say something. She smiled lightly at him as the door of the lift slowly closed. Jongkook could only scratch his head at the incident between him and the lady. Ah, he did not ask the lady’s name! “Tch, babo! Kim Jongkook, you’re so stupid! How come you didn’t ask her name?!” he scolded himself loudly. He continues walking towards his apartment. What he didn’t know and what she didn’t realize was that their apartments were just beside each other. Is this fate? If it is, then fate really plays hard on them. #                                                                                            #                                                                                            # “Hyung, do you want any water?” Jongkook just nodded towards his colleague while screening the song in front of him. He tries practising the song before the recording session resumes again. The director for his album this time was not really satisfied with the recording of this one particular song. The director tells him that he lacks the feeling that needs to be expressed while singing the song. He sighed for the nth time.   The song describes the love between two strangers that meet coincidentally under difficult situation. Jongkook tries to get his focus again and this time, the image of the lady from this morning's incident comes into his mind. He smiled at that and suddenly felt down when he didn’t get to ask her name. “That’s it! That’s the feeling I want you to express. Come on, let’s continue!” the director suddenly yells excitedly. Jongkook blinks in confusion and slowly realizes that the song description is similar to his situation. He gets into the mood and starts the recording. In no time, he managed to finish the last song for his upcoming album. “And cut! Good job Jongkook-ah!” Jongkook bows to the staff, appreciating their hard work. He pats some of the younger staff and promises them a dinner together. His manager, Gap Jin is already waiting for him. He rushes towards the director and discusses something about the meeting to finalize his album before the photoshoot for the album’s cover takes place. He excuses himself after confirming the time and place for the meeting. As he steps into his car, he sighs loudly, feeling so tired after a whole day in the studio. Gap Jin glances at his artist aka friend and smiles lightly, seeing the singer already falling asleep on the seat at the back. He turns the volume down and drives smoothly towards Jongkook’s house. At the same time, on the other side of the city, a lady, dressed in casual clothes, walks tiredly towards her car. She's just finished the filming for the day and just wanted to lie down on her soft bed. “Jihyo noona!” she sighs before turning around facing the one calling her. Yup, she is Song Jihyo, the one who always wakes up late and clumsily bumped into Kim Jongkook early this morning. She waits for her partner in her current drama impatiently. The actor runs slightly towards her and stops a few steps in front of her. “Jinhyuk-ah, I’m really tired and we need to start filming early in the morning tomorrow. I really need my sleep right now” Before her co-actor could speak up, she was already whining her way to the poor actor. Choi Jinhyuk can only stare at her with amused evidence on his face before he chuckles loudly at the lady in front of him. She never fails to amaze him with her antics. Song Jihyo frowns when realizing her co-star had laughed at her. What’s so funny anyway? She pouts and crosses her arms while looking at Jinhyuk who tries to calm down. “Yah! Kemanhae (Stop)! Or do you want me to pull your hair again?” threatens Song Jihyo. Choi Jinhyuk immediately raised his hands in surrender. He shudders when he remembers how he had to beg Jihyo to release his hair. Uh, the pain! “Okay, okay. I stop! Haish, you’re so not sporting noona!” Jihyo just glares at him. “Why do you call me? Speak up! Palli (Faster)!”. Jinhyuk smacked his forehead lightly. “Ah right! Mianhae noona. The director wanted me to tell you that our filming will be postponed to the day after tomorrow as there are some problems with the set and one of the cameras. The staff will inform us about the filming schedule later” explains Jinhyuk. Jihyo brightens up immediately. “Which means I can sleep the whole day tomorrow! Yahooooo !!!!” yells Jihyo loudly and excitedly. Jinhyuk can only shake his head seeing his co-star acting like a child who gets her favourite candy. He smiles and walks towards her. “Err... noona. You’re a bit loud here. Others are looking at us weirdly”. Jihyo calms down in an instant and looks around her before bowing apologetically, seeing the other staff and c-stars looking at her bewilderedly, shocked at her sudden outburst. Jinhyuk just grazed his neck in embarrassment. Seriously, if we’re in public, I would just pretend to not know her. Aish, this woman, thought Jinhyuk inwardly. “Noona, I need to go. I’ve promised Pilmo hyung and Min hyung a dinner. Bye noona. Rest well”. “Oh, araseo. Be careful on your way there. I’ll see you later. Bye” Jihyo gives Jinhyuk a side hug and watches Jinhyuk walked away towards the said co-stars before climbing her van. She sighs in relief and content as her manager drives the vehicle towards her house. In no time, she fell into a deep slumber until her manager woke her up. She walks sleepy to the elevator and presses the level of her house. She steps outside of it once the elevator reaches her level and walks slowly to her house and presses her passwords. She opens the door and walks into her house while letting the door shut itself. What she didn’t know is that once she steps into her house, the other elevator’s door also opens, revealing her favourite singer, who also looks so sleepy. The singer walks tiredly to his house and enters it once the door is opened. Both of them are so tired and after cleaning themselves and changing into comfortable sleeping attire, they both trudge to bed and fall into deep slumber while dreaming about each other. Fate has once again played with their lives. #                                                                            #                                                                            #                             “Who is it again?” Gap Jin sighs again. Is it so hard to remember the name of a fellow entertainer? They are eating at a restaurant after the meeting for the new album. It has been decided that the last recorded song will be the title song for the album and they will produce a music video starring an actress and he based on the song. “Hyung, it’s Song Jihyo. Song Jihyo molla (You don’t know Song Jihyo)?” asks Gap Jin, frustrated at the artist under his care.  “Nope, never heard, don’t care about her” says Jongkook uncaringly.  After having his heart broken by his actress' ex-girlfriend, he wouldn’t care about the same field females unless it’s necessary, such as the guest actress in the variety show he is currently involves with. So far, he knows their names as most are very famous in the industry. Oh, how regret he would if he knew who the owner of the name is. “Haish, hyung! Can you forget about your rage towards actresses? They didn’t do anything to you in the first place. Except one,” Gap Jin’s voice down to a whisper at the end of his sentence, but Jongkook could still hear it. He tries to calm down by ignoring his manager's nagging. He too wants to forget the pain, but every time he imagines his ex-girlfriend’s face, he feels his heart broken for the nth time. When can he forget her? “We will have a meeting regarding the music video with Song Jihyo’s company this Tuesday. Please behave hyung. The director wants you to act in the music video. Please prepare yourself. Maybe you can ask Kwangsoo-ssi on the way to express yourself better” suggests Gap Jin. Jongkook just nods at the suggestion. He sighs. He was not fond of acting as he was very bad at it. Kwangsoo, you had better prepare yourself. HAHAHAHA!!!! He smirks when he thinks of a way that he can use to annoy the said man. Kwangsoo is an actor that he got close to through the current variety show, running man. Although he is a goof and is always looked down on the show, he is an awesome actor and model in reality. He just rarely shows that awesome side of his, as he said he wants to explore other sides of him. “Anneyong. Kwangsoo yah...” Kim Jongkook calls Lee Kwangsoo as Gap Jin drives through the city after having their lunch. #                                                                                            #                                                                                            # “Eh, Jihyo noona?! Jjinja (really)?!!” shouts Kwangsoo. Jongkook blocks his ear at that. This kid! He groans. “YAH! why did you shout? Do you know her?” asks Jongkook while trying to regain his hearing back. Kwangsoo nods excitedly. “Of course I know her. She is close with Joongki as they had act in the same movie. Joongki had introduced her to me when we hanged out together the other day. She’s very pretty but so simple and kind. Oh, you don’t want to make her angry though. She can flip her attitude 180 degree if you annoy her” explains Kwangsoo to his hyung. Jongkook ponders at the explanation. “Is she famous?” asks Jongkook again. Kwangsoo widens his eyes and his jaws dropped at that question. He looks dumbfounded at his hyung. How can he not know Song Jihyo? This hyung is very weird! “Hyung!!! How can you do not know Jihyo noona? She’s very famous. I like to watch her current drama. Her partner is Jinhyuk” Jongkook raises his left brow at that. He knows Jinhyuk as the actor was a guest in running man but he seriously don’t know any Song Jihyo. Curiosity fills his head as everyone he asks knows the said actress. Oh well, he will know her when they meet tomorrow for the meeting. “Arraseo, arraseo... Let me judge her by myself when I meet her tomorrow. But Kwangsoo yah. What is this that I heard about you?” asks Jongkook as worry is evident on his face. Kwangsoo rubs his face and just sighs tiredly. Two days after Jongkook called him, a scandal about his dongsaeng covers every single newspaper and websites in South Korea. Currently, Kwangsoo is being locked up in his house and can only goes out for his schedules. Luckily, he is allowed to meet him. “I don’t know hyung. The pictures that they used only show the two of us but we actually just coincidentally met. Furthermore, it’s not just us. Her members are in the van and our managers were also there” explains Kwangsoo.   “How about Uee? Does she know about this?” asks Jongkook hesitantly. He knows about Kwangsoo and Uee relationship. The actor is currently dating the After School member after the said idol showed up in running man and they become closer after that. Their companies know about the relationship but they still keep it secret from the public. “I had explained myself to her. At first, she refused to believe me as she had watched our episodes when I showed interest in Yuri back then and when SNSD came. I had to explain for a full hour before she comes to trust me and understand that it just a scandal” says Kwangsoo. Stress is clearly shown on his face. Jongkook can only pat his back to show his pity towards the actor’s condition. The scandal become big as the other side was Yuri from SNSD. SNSD has a very big fanbase and when the scandal erupted, Kwangsoo was being bashed harshly by the fans although some other fans support them and some stood behind his back. If only they know about Kwangsoo’s real girlfriend. Jongkook shudders when he imagines about the effects from it if it is leaked to the public. “I miss her hyung. We didn’t get to meet for almost three months as she was busy with their tours and I also had my drama and movie filmings. We supposedly meet this weekend but with my restriction, I don’t think the company will consent about it” his voice shows his disappointment about his current predicament. “I’m sure she would understand about it. Let’s just pray the scandal will be turned down soon. You should prepare for a press conference to explain yourself although your company has released a statement on this. What I didn’t understand is why Yuri didn’t explain herself? Usually, SM will immediately release a statement against the scandal but their statement was not very clear and this has lead to public to make their own assumption” Jongkook analyzes the situation. “I don’t know hyung. I don’t kn..” Kwangsoo sentences is cut when his phone rings. Jongkook excuses himself as he realizes Uee is the one calling Kwangsoo. He wants to give privacy to Kwangsoo to solve his own problems and he will support him. He also needs to prepare for tomorrow’s meeting. He glances towards Kwangsoo and feels relief when he sees a small smile on his face when talking to Uee. I hope he will stay strong, says Jongkook inwardly before he closes the front door to Kwangsoo’s house. #                                                                                            #                                                                                            # Jihyo walks calmly to the said venue for the meeting on her latest project. Apparently, she needs to act in a music video for a singer but her manager being as annoying as ever. She didn’t want to reveal who the singer is. “It’s a surprise for you. So, be patient” she recalled her saying that when she asked about it. She doesn’t mind actually as she has few experiences featuring in music videos for singers such as JYJ. She giggles silently as she imagines the handsome faces of JYJ members. She is especially closer with Jaejoong as they had acted together in a film. She stops in front of the door to the meeting room. She holds her breath before releases it slowly and pushes the door open to enter the room. Apparently, she is quite early as she doesn’t see anyone in the room. She is alone in the meeting room as her managers and their company representative need to settle a few things on her current project before they come to the meeting room. She sits on one chair and observes the meeting room. The room is big enough to occupy a circular table. The table will fit 30 people at one time and a microphone is placed in front of every chair. A LCD is attached at the room’s ceiling and a big white canvas is placed at the very front of the room near the only computer in the room. She sighs boringly and starts to play with her phone. She stops playing with her phone when she hears someone pushes the door open and turns around. Her eyes widen at the sight in front of her or specifically at the figure that has stepped into the room. Is this the surprise that her manager told her about? Kim Jongkook halts in front of the door when he recognizes the only person in the room. It is the face that he has been dreaming about since they bumped into each other. He suddenly feels nervous and excitement at the same time. He is nervous as he thinks how to communicate with her and excited as he had the opportunity to know her better. He proceeds further into the room when his manager nudges him a he is blocking the rest of them. Gap Jin immediately recognizes the female in the room and smirks when he notices the small glances that Jongkook makes towards the said female. Hmm, interesting, he says inwardly. “Anneyonghaseyo. Are you the manager for Song Jihyo? I’m sorry we’re a bit late” says Jongkook suddenly. Gap Jin turns sharply towards Jongkook. “Oh man, you’re so dead hyung!”, Gap Jin curse silently. He turns towards the actress and gives an apologetic look. The other managers and crews are stunned when they hear the singer sentences. They shake their head on the ignorance of the singer towards the actress. They can already imagine the darkened aura surrounding the filming area. “No, it’s okay. The managers and the company representatives also will be a bit late. Oh, there they are” said Jihyo, trying to calm herself. Apparently, her favourite singer doesn’t know about her. How could he?! Didn’t he research about her first before coming here? She assumes he already knows that he will be acting along her side when he asks her just now. In her case, she is really shocked to see her favourite singer stepped into the room. She understands immediately that he is the singer that she will be working with in the music video. But disappointment, embarrassment and anger fill her heart one by one when he directed the question to her. She expects him to recognize her immediately but the opposite happens. She notices the look his manager directs to her and she gives a small smile to him before answering his question. Luckily, her managers arrive at the room and that saves her from giving an explanation about her position and also saves her from the possibility of showing her hot-headed self. She is excited at first but now she is just calmed and wearing her facade by showing a blank face while the director starts the meeting and continue to explain on the music video. #                                                                                            #                                                                                            # “Babo, babo, babo!!!” Jongkook scolds himself for the nth time. He has just finished his makeup. The filming for music video is today and he is getting ready for it. He sighs again. He suddenly recalls what Kwangsoo had said the other day he met him. “Oh, you don’t want to make her angry though. She can flip her attitude 180 degree if you annoy her”. He sighs heavily because he had actually annoyed her and experiences the said flip attitude. She showed her cold and stoic face to him when they were introduced personally by their managers. Although they managed to have a conversation, he still feels the distant. He knows immediately that he had hurt her by throwing her the question that showed his ignorance about her. While preparing for filming that was decided to be a week from the meeting, he searched about her and noticed that she is indeed a very capable actress. She had also worked along with his ex-girlfriend in a drama. But surprisingly, that didn’t make him upset. Instead, he just continued searching her other movies and dramas and ended downloading them. He also watched her variety shows and noticed her kindness by her involvement in charity. He intends to apologize to her before their filming ended as his is interested to know her better and if possible, to befriend her. “Filming will start in five minutes”, one of the crew alerts him and makes him break from his thoughts. He nods and starts walking towards the set. He doesn’t see his front as he is struggling to button up his sleeve. When he finally faces the front, he stops in his track because the sulking actress stuns him. Yes, he really admires her bare face and appreciates the natural beauty of her, but he never thought makeup and beautiful dress could make her beautifully different than her usual self. “You’re here, Jongkook-ah. Let’s start, shall we?” Jihyo freezes in her spot when the director acknowledges the presence of the man that she is currently annoyed at. But she cannot deny the feeling that creeped up inside her heart just at the mention of his name. She feels nervous around him and she admits that she is attracted to him. He was like a magnet that could attract the attention from the opposite genders. She turns towards the singer and sees how apologetic he is for not knowing her. She sighs when he throws her that look. It was the looks that he always gave her during their rehearsal yesterday. “Urghh, okay, okay. I forgive you. Let’s just go filming and we talk later, okay?” she gets an immediate response from the man that she idolizes. He nodded excitedly. Without realizing, he grabs her wrist and drags her to the filming site. She is shocked and a blush creeps into her face, but she still follows the happy man. They start filming and both realize that the described scene is a bit similar to their encounter, though instead of the encounter in front of the lift, their encounter in the music video is on the street. While filming, both of them are so engrossed in their characters as they could reminisce their encounter for the first time. Jongkook realizes that his feelings towards the actress are getting deeper each time they act as a loving couple. When the filming finished at the end of the day, the thought of separating and never seeing each other again dreaded him so much. The feeling worsens when he sees how Jihyo smiles lovingly to her co-actor, Choi Jinhyuk, who has come to visit her at the music video filming site. Though he is quite close to the said actor as Jinhyuk, he wants to punch him badly as he sees the said actor hugging and ruffling Jihyo’s hair. He widens his eyes as he realizes the feeling he feels on the current situation. He feels jealous! But why is he jealous? He contemplates again. He widens his eyes again for he suddenly realizes that he is in love with Song Jihyo! WHATTT?!!! He ruffles his hair desperately upon coming in term with his feelings. Jihyo glaces towards her idol and sees him ruffling his hair. Omo, so cute! She slapped her face inwardly. Control yourself Song Jihyo! Jinhyuk had promised to wait for her in the car as they will go straight for their talk show regarding the drama they currently star in. Jihyo walks around the filming sites and says her thanks to the staffs for their hard work. She stops in front of Jongkook who apparently is also thanking the staffs. Both of them freeze, not knowing what to say to each other. “Emm, I just want you to know I have forgiven you. Thank you for the hard work and cooperation throughout this filming, sunbae-nim” Jihyo bows and smiles sincerely towards Jongkook. Jongkook frowns at the formality she used. He doesn’t like it one bit. “Thanks to you too. Thank you for doing your best in helping me make this music video” Jongkook really appreciates her work as he sees himself the effort that she makes although it's just an act for a music video. “I’m so sorry for not recognizing you. After meeting you, I’ve watched all your dramas and movies and I must say, you are really good. I am really lucky to have such a talented actress acting in my music video”. She blushes when he praises her. She now realizes he is really friendly, albeit his tough appearance. Maybe I should give him a chance, she thought. “Aniyo. I realize maybe I was not working hard enough for you to not know me. But don’t worry. I’ll work harder to make the world know about my existence in the entertainment world”, she says with determination. Jongkook chuckles at seeing her cute reaction. “Err... Jihyo-shi, could you drop the formality? You can just call me Jongkook instead of sunbaenim. Or you could also call me oppa if you want to. And can I... can I be your friend?” he rubs his nape in embarrassment when he makes the request. Jihyo stares at the floor shyly when hearing the request from her idol. He wants to be my friend! Am I dreaming? She pinched her hand lightly and felt pain. “Sure, why not Jongkook-shi. I’m glad to be your friend. Let’s forget our misunderstanding and start over again. Hi, I’m Song Jihyo. Nice to meet you” Jihyo smiles at Jongkook while putting her hands out for a handshake. “Hi. Kim Jongkook is my name. Nice to meet you too, Song Jihyo-shi. Can I have your number?” Jongkook accepts her handshake and teases her a bit while grinning. Both of them laugh out loud at their own actions. Jihyo looks at her watch and realizes that she has exceeded the time that she promised Jinhyuk to meet up at the car. “I’ll give my number later if you promise me to send the complete video to me first before it is released. But for now, I really have to go. See you later, Jongkook-shi” she walked away while waving at him. “I promise! Oh, and I’ll just ask your manager about your number. Wait for my text!” He yells at her. She just smiles and continues to walk away from the filming site. Her manager needed to stay to wrap everything up. That’s why she asks Jinhyuk to pick her up. Who knows she befriended her own idol? To say she’s lucky is an understatement. And deep within her heart, she really anticipated the text from him. She looks forward to their interaction as friends in the future.
