A Surprise

Two Weeks Later

It has been a very busy two weeks from the time they returned from Insula Mirari.

Iggy worked on the launch of Miracle's reintroduction. This morning was Miracle's first day at work. Ang ama nito ay patuloy na mamahala ng kumpanya habang ipinapasa kay Miracle ang mga responsibilidad nito sa dadaang isang taon.

Napangiti ito sa bati ni Iggy. "Pauwi na ako. You mentioned na late ka makauwi. But what do you want for dinner?"

"Oh, maaga ka makakauwi on your first day in conquering the business world."

"I believe in work life balance Mr. Cruz. Dinner?"

"We missed having a proper honeymoon dear wife. Napaka-busy rin ng mga nakarang araw. Can I eat you for dinner instead?"

Bagaman si Miracle lang ang nakakarinig kay Iggy, hindi nito naiwasang ilibot ang paningin kung may mga taong malapit sa kaniya. Bagaman wala naman nakakarinig ng kanilang usapan.

"Well, that can be arranged, Sir. See you later, Mr. Cruz" pabirong sagot nito.

Miracle settled into the kitchen upang maghanda ng kanilang hapunan. Maski pa kumpleto sila sa mga kasambahay sa bago at napakalaking bahay, ang pagluluto para kay Iggy ay personal nitong ginagawa.

"Iggy... baka makita nila tayo."

"This can't wait. I can't wait. Sorry but this is going to be quick." May pagmamadali sa kilos ni Iggy. He was already unbuckling his belt and opening the zipper of his pants.

Miracle moved. Inililis ang palda nito and pushed down her underwear. Inabot ni Iggy iyon and placed it in his pocket.

NAKALIPAS ANG MGA ARAW SA ROUTINE ng bagong mag-asawa. Umaalis sila magkasabay sa umaga. Idadaan ni Iggy si Miracle sa opisina nito bago pumunt sa sarili nitong tanggapan.

Sa umagang iyon, hindi pa tumatayo si Miracle upang maghanda pumasok sa opisina. Mabigat ang katawan nito. Umupo si Iggy sa kama, suot na nito ang roba matapos maligo. Kinapa niya ang noo ng asawa.

"Nilalagnat ka ba? Maybe we should go to the doctor."

"Baka kailangan ko lang ng hugs and kisses." lambing ni Miracle dito.

"Oh you had a lot from last night honey." He smiled at her.

"Abutin mo naman yun gamot ko dyan sa side drawer please."

Iggy stood and opened the small drawer sa side table ni Miracle. Nakita nya ang isang maliit na brown paper na may tatak ng pharmacy. He reached for it and opened to get the medicine.

May dalawang puting laman ang supot sa loob nito.

"Eto ba ang gamot mo?" tanong nito habang inilalabas ang mga laman. He thought the items looked familiar.

"Mira?" bigla ang pagbaling ni Iggy sa asawa. He was back on the bed seating beside her.

Sa kamay nito ay dalawang pregnancy test kits na ginamit ni Miracle.

"You're soon to become a daddy!"

Iggy was left speechless. Umupo si Miracle at iniyakap ang sarili sa hanggang ngayon ay di pa rin nakakabawing si Iggy.

She hugged him. Smelling the musky scent of his soap. Nakapikit ang mga mata, Miracle took the moment to breathe in the moment they shared the news of her pregnancy.

Suddenly she uttered so softly, "I love you."

Napamulat si Miracle. Tinanong ang sarili kung nasabi ba nya ang nasa isip. Hindi pa man ito tapos sa pag iisip when she felt Iggy lean in and kiss her hard.
