The Gifted

As the girl pushed the door wide open she was met by the cold breeze of the wind, shivering she walks through the hallway gazing at the sky as it was still dawn as she walks by, she walks fast and quietly scared that someone might hear or see her. When she reached at the end of the hallway there she saw a one room only, she knocked three times and was waiting for a response but instead the quiet hallway and cold wind was her company, to her curiosity she slowly twist the door knob and opened the door and there she saw the figure peacefully sleeping, slowly she walks toward this figure and stop inches apart, she lift her hand and carefully taps it face. "Matt....psst....Matt wake up". The girl said but the boy brushed off her hands and turn his back to sleep, and once again the girl taps her hand in his cheek but the boy keeps brushing off her hand, with this the girl felt infuriated and intentionally slap the boy causing it to shot his eyes open and look at the surrounding before his gaze landed on her, the boy gawked at her speechless. "That hurts you know". He said while holding his redden cheek, "You could have just woken me softy Elliana". Matt spat, but Elliana crossed her arms and arch her brows towards him, "I did but you keep brushing off my hands so I was leave with no choice". She smirked. Matt hissed and brushed off his blanket, "What do you need? Waking me up so early?". Elliana pouted and sat beside Matt holding his arm "How could you forget it? Yesterday you promised me that you would take me to the hill to watch the sunrise with me". Matt cursed inside of his head 'how could i forget it!' he thought he held Elliana's arm to put it down, and stands up and walk towards to his wardrobe "Turn your back im gonna change some clothes". Elliana immediately comply with a big smile on her face. Now the two were quietly running hand in hand towards the stable "Are you sure this is gonna work? What if someone finds us?" She ask nervously, while holding Matt's hand tightly "Trust me El this will really work, wait do you even trust me or not?". She looked at him sternly "I do, would i be here with you if I didnt?". She retorted, this is the first time that she would disobey her father's rule, but also this made her a little bit excited seeing a sunrise. When they arrived at the stable Matt grab something in his pocket, a key, he slowly pulled it out on his pocket and slid it in the key hole unlocking the stable he looked back and forth making sure no one was awake or around to see them. "Let's go". They walk inside the stable and picked a brown horse, he assisted Elliana to climbed over the horse. "Make it fast El, what's taking you so long to climb over". "Lift me higher! You got no strenght my dear Matt, for goodness sake what is the use of your stupid muscle if you couldn't even lift a slender girl!". Matt cursed under his breath and lift Elliana higher, when Elliana successfully climbed over the horse's back it was Matt's turn to climbed over, without struggle he easily climbed over. Facing front was Elliana, Matt didnt hesitate to waste time and made the horse move, they where at a good speed at first until later on they got slower and there were peace with the two of them both were fixated in the beautiful forest, with the sky still dark and a bright full moon and a dazzling forest it feels like they were at heaven. They keep their slow pace for the past minute until Elliana breaks the silence. "The world is full of surprises and beauty". She said as her eyes was focused on the moon, "I never knew that I would be glad to be born" she smiled faintly and looked back to smile at Matt. Matt looked deep in her eyes and smiled, he brushed off the hair on her eyes and nodded "You are right the world is really a surprise and beauty". *** "Where here" Matt stated and gets down to the horse while he offers Elliana a hand to get down, he ties the horse at the tree to ensure that this wont run away. While on the other hand Elliana was busy gazing down on the little towns, they were at the top of the hill and they can see the town very clearly in this view. "It's pretty to look at it when its morning". Ellaina nodded and keeps her gaze at the town, but for her its still beautiful cause she can she the lights in every house of it, its like a firely if she can describe it, without thinking she sits down in the grass and close her eyes. She could feel the cold wind in her skin and it gives her shivers, she opened her eyes and see that Matt was sitting beside her looking at the town sternly, she smiled thinking how serious he was. "Thank you" she stated and heaved a sigh before continuing "I know we could get in trouble because of this but still you didn't bother to accept my wish this really means a lot to me Matt". Matt shifted his gaze to her and smiled, "Everything for you princess". They both giggled and without warning Matt's hand began to shine Ellaina was mesmerised to it and look at Matt, "You ready Princess?". "Ready as always". And with that Matt cast a spell in her, slowly her dull vision started to have colors, she stands and spun around to see the sorroundings that was once gray now started to have its own color, the green grass, the yellow lights in the town, the vibrant colors of tulip, the sparkling stars, the blue night sky and lastly the deep brown eye that was looking at her. "So? How was it Princess?" He smirked, Elliana hug her and give her thanks multiple times he pats her back and sighed. "That wont last long El, by the time the sun rises so does this beautiful visions of yours to be perished, all this time El I was looking something to find cure, so that you can see how we see the world El, I want you to experience how vibrant and colorful the world but im sorry El, I couldn't find anything to cure your vision". Elliana shakes her head and freed herself from his arm, she clasped his face and gently rubs it, "You've already done so much for me Matt, and I couldn't ask for more, I know Matt, I already know it ever since I was young that im different from you guys, and I know that theres no cure Matt, I almost gave up and almost lost hope but i didn't". A tear fell in her eyes, and Matt wipe it off using his thumb he was about to say something when Elliana cuts her off. "The moment you arrive at the palace Matt, I knew something good would happen even once and im right Matt, you were a blessing to me, and I couldn't ask for more you being my friend was like a treasure Matt, you will always be my greatest treasure and aside from that you are the only person who was able to let me see colors even just for a moment, and that is something that I will always be grateful to you always". Matt smiled and so does Elliana, time passes and both of them was now looking at the beautiful sunrise, the cold breeze that they were feeling earlier was now replaced by the warmth of the sun, and they can also see few people starting their morning chores. "This is the best Matt, but I must be honest, the colors im seeing right now is starting to fade, but it was worth it and it will forever carved in my mind forever" "Silly you, why don't we just go back huh? I dont wanna see you crying again is annoys me cause you look ugly". Matt laughed and Elliana smacked her they were now both laughing and pinching each other, they both stood up and decided to go back home along the way the two of them became silent again deep in their own thoughts the only thing they can hear is the fast steps of the horse they are riding. When they arrive at the stable, they aren't any person that could be seen, they use this as an advantage and make their movements faster than usual both was running through the hallway and when they arrive at the main building they bid their goodbyes. Because today they will be back to their own usual routine Elliana De Monde the one and only daughter of King Jovince De Monde the XIII, and Matteo Gucchin the one and only child of the head butler Jorden Gucchin.
