Alisyah's P.O.V RING RING RING The sun's light shines brightly through the window of my room. I hear the birds chirping as I lay staring at the ceiling of my bedroom. I switch my alarm clock off and let out a long heavy sigh,knowing I still have another long day of the usual abuse ,even if today may be my birthday. It also is the last day of school but it won't end there,Ha!Ha!definitely not. I'm Alisyah silver by the way, the Omega of The Black Moon Pack. Ever since I was a kid, I've been treated like a no-good-for-use person. I'm not originally from this pack,I was adopted by my amazing parents, Elizabeth and Chris. I found out when I turned 10 that I was adopted. Funny you wouldn't say that I was, since they treated me as their own. My mom couldn't have her own so, she always told me that I'm a blessing that had entered their lives. My dad told me that when he found, I was just outside of the pack boarders. I was only 2 days old in a basket with a note that only had my name and nothing else. I still have the basket tucked away in my closet. My dad also mentioned that when he was on patrol, the night he found me, he saw someone run off just a few feet away from where I was and that person had the scent of a wolf so, that gave me a little reassurance. The reason for me saying this is because I've always felt different from all the others, like I was human and not a wolf. The main difference as well is that I haven't shifted yet, as I was supposed to 2 years ago, when I turned 16 and now I'm 18 and still nothing. With this new information that only got me more and more painful beatings, due to me being seen as weak. It all started on my first day of school, when I was 5. I was treated as an outcast at first, no friends and being ignored. I accepted it all till one day they decided that it would be better if they beat me up instead, which still in fact brought no reaction from me. Then one day, getting the usual beating I always get, I met Jesse my best friend in the whole world. She is Beta Williams daughter. We're the same age, only I'm shorter than her. Jesse is 5ft8 and I'm 5ft3. Since she is the Beta's daughter she has a lot of authority and is scary when angry. Anyway she was walking past us on that day and saw what was happening. She pushed past everyone to get to me, even though she was 5 at the time she had the mouth of a 50 year old. She helped me up and told them to leave me alone,while also throwing in a few threats, and ever since then, we've been friends, best friends. Even after that day I still got beat and was called bad names only when Jesse wasn't around. She never knew until I finally told her. She has pushed me to tell Alpha or at least my dad but I refused to do so. You know why? Because I knew that it was only going to get more worse then it already was so, I stayed quiet. It did get worse when they found out I can't shift, that's how I got the title of being the Omega of the pack. My whole life has not been easy, but I can't change what they think and say of me right?(sigh) KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK "Who is it?" I shouted as I got out if bed and stretched."HAPPY BIRTHDAY LISA!!" Screamed Jesse. Oh! Did I mention she's loud? She ran into my room and pulled me into a really tight hug." I...Can't.....Breathe" I said between gasps. She really had an iron grip on me."OMG! I'm sorry! How are you this fine morning?" She said with a giggle as she moved a side to let me get ready for school. "Thank you Jesse and I'm fine, I guess. Besides what's so wonderful about today? It's just a normal day after all." I said as I was getting my clothes out from my closet then taking them to the bathroom connected to my room. "Oh don't be like that, it's your birthday you should be happy. Plus it's the last day of school! How cool is that?!" She sounded so excited and happy and I didn't want to make her sad so I just put on a fake show to make her happy. "Yeah ok not only is it the last day of school but also our last year! Wait but....." I trailed off hoping she'll get the hint. "What?" She asked with look of pure confusion till realization dawned in."Oh...I didn't realize or maybe my stupid brain forgot again. But don't worry to much, that means nothing, come on look on the bright side you get to stay in the pack house with me." I knew she was trying to cheer me up, and let me see that once I finally finish school, and become an Omega officially. I will work as a maid in the pack house, but even if I am living in the pack house, I'll be living where all the Omegas stay, on the very end of the pack house, where no one can see you. Fun right? "Look Jes, I get that you're trying to get me to see the bright side, but there is no bright side here okay. You of all people should understand that. As you know my life for the past 13 years has been hell so, I'm not trying to make you feel guilty or sad but please let's just forget about all that for this one day and, have fun okay. That sound good?" I watched her carefully as I took my towel off my bed. I saw that the frown on her face disappeared and was replaced with a smile. The smile she has when she had no care in the world, that is until she becomes Beta for the future Luna. "Okay, you're right. Now go have a shower and I'll meet you downstairs for breakfast." She pulls me into one more hug after I have her a nod in response and walked out the door, while I went to go take a shower. After showing I walked out the bathroom, got dressed and then downstairs, following the delicious smell of pancakes. I walked into the kitchen and there I see my mom at the stove frying the last few pancakes. She hugs me and the hands me a plate of pancakes. I give her a kiss on the cheek after she wished me a 'happy birthday'. I walk into the living room and my dad is sitting at the table reading his newspaper and drinking a cup of coffee, along with Jesse already stuffing her mouth with pancakes. She had syrup running down her chin as she swallowed her food then took her finger and wipes it away then licks her finger. She giggles and I let out a small laugh. My dad looks up from his newspaper after I greeted him. He puts it on the table and gives me a stern look there's not even a hint of a smile on his face. I know that when he has that look on his face, he knows something he dose not like at all, which is when I started freaking out and that's a big problem for me. Cause I think he found out. Oh s**t! He knows! I started to panic but trying to keep a straight face so that he can't believe it's true. I felt my heart beat start to race. "Dad?" I asked a bit worried. He gives no reply at first, then reaches under the table and pulls out a....box? Wait no, not just any box but a beautifully decorated blue jewelry box. "Happy birthday my beautiful girl." He says with a small cackle and hands the box to me. He gets up from his seat and gives me hug." Thank you dad. You know you really gave me quite a scare there." I say with a giggle and return the hug. "I know and I'm sorry but it was your mother's idea." He replies laughing and I hear my mom laughing I'm the kitchen with Jesse. She must have left when my dad gave 'the look'. I couldn't help but laugh too. So far my morning has been great. After eating my breakfast, I got up and went to my room to put the jewelry box on my dressing table. I took my bag and then went downstairs again and greeted my parents. Jesse and I got into her car and she drove us to school. As we pull into the parking lot, I see Roxy and Asher, the Alpha's son, standing next to his motorbike, eating each others' faces out or at least that's what it looks like to me. "Agh seriously! It's way too early for this crap!" Jesse let out when she saw it. We get out of the car and start heading inside. I notice as we walked that Asher had stopped kissing Roxy and was staring at me instead. Roxy then pulls away from Asher and says:"Oh look it's little miss weak wolf, oh s**t, I forgot you have no wolf." She then smirks."My bad, weakling." She rolls her eyes and laughs. I give no reaction as always and I continue walking with Jesse. "Knock it off Roxy." I heard Asher say with an annoyed tone. It's funny how he's the Alpha's son,but does nothing to stop everything that I go through, well I am a nobody to an Alpha after all, just an Omega that will work for him in the future once he becomes Alpha. "Oh I'm sorry I didn't know you give a damn." Roxy replied with a bit of anger in her voice. "I don't. Its just really getting old with all the same comments everyday Roxy. Can't you think of something better to do. I get that you my girlfriend but that doesn't mean that you'll be the Luna of this pack so, stop going around acting like one." He said as he took his leather jacket off the seat and walked into the school. It was kinda weird on how I could hear them when we were already way across the parking lot and they were at the edge of it. I decided not to rack my brain about it and went to class. Only what really bothered me was why would Asher tell Roxy to stop with her comments. Nah, it's probably nothing he's never stopped her before so why now? I'm going crazy. I stopped thinking about it and focused on class. The day was going fine besides the comments and names i heard, or a trip here and there but I held strong as I always do. My dad is a warrior so, I do get trained by him. There are only a few people that know about it, Jesse, my mom and Beta Williams or Rick. Jesse and I have been training since we were 12. My dad said I should learn how to fight to defend myself and my family. Jesse trains in public on the training ground with her dad but me, well I train in private. Jesse always tells me that, since I know how to fight, I should defend myself and fight back, when they decide to hurt (which is all the time). But I always say no. If I had to fight back it will only be more brutal. Yeah call me mad but it's the only way. I do have a reason I don't give any reactions when I get bullied is because, I've taught myself that emotions are a weakness that can be used against me. I say this because if I show amy emotion at all, they will use it to get to me. For example, if I had to show anger, they'd know it pisses me off with anything they do and they'd keep doing the same thing just to get that reaction all the time. Which is why I only show emotion when around my family, Jesse and Luna(Asher's mother). At the cafeteria, I walked in and went to get my lunch. After I got my lunch I made my way over to the table Jesse and I always sit at. But I never made it far, as Roxy came and tripped while I had my lunch in my hands. CLASH!!.....THUMP!! I fell and everything I had on my tray was either on me or the floor. Jesse got up and ran towards me to help me up, while everyone laughed at me. I showed no emotion and stood up with Jesse's help. I took my bag and made my way to the exit of the cafeteria with Jesse. I didn't know if it was from when I hit my head when I fell or my imagination, but in the corner of my eye, I saw Asher looking rather pissed. Only not at me but at Roxy which is weird. Paying no mind to it, I walked out the cafeteria and to the girl's locker rooms to get a change of clothes. Once I was changed we went to class. As soon as the bell rang I grabbed my bag and went to Jesse's car to go home. When we were pulling out of the parking lot everyone ran out, screaming"LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!" I looked out the window and hoped to get home as soon as possible.
