Rise Of The Silver Moon

Chapter 3

Alisyah's P.O.V

I took a nice long walk to the lake, which is in the middle of the territory. It's a really long walk away from my house, which is why I love taking walks at night. It would usually take me about an hour but i this time it only took me like 30 minutes. I decided to not think too much about it.

Once I got to the lake, I sat down and just enjoyed the peace. As I sat there my mind went back to when Asher put Roxy off and how pissed he looked at her for tripping me. I have noticed for the past 4 years, that Asher has been acting different around me. It was so weird, he always looked like he wanted to speak to me but didn't.

Not really wanting to rack my brain, I took off my clothes and jumped into lake for a swim. The water was nice and cool, I spent about 45 minutes then got out. Just as I was about to put my clothes back on, I got this really bad ache in my back. I tried to ignore it so, I could get dressed only, my legs started aching as well as my arms, then soon enough my whole body. I tried getting up but, that just made it worse so, instead I looked up and what I saw took my breath away.

The sun was set and the moon had risen, but the moon shone brighter then any other night, even brighter then how it would be on my birthday. The silver glow of the moon hit down straight on me.

When it did my bones started to break and rearrange itself. I let out a high pitch scream and tried to focus on not passing out due to the pain.

I could hear people running towards me, but I couldn't focus in what direction it was coming from. My bones shifted and rearranged themselves for what felt like hours, till it finally stopped and I could breathe normally again.

Once I could breathe again, I noticed my senses were more heightened then ever before. At first I didn't notice my dad walking over to me, till he stepped in a twig and my head snapped towards him at the sound. He walked so slow as if approaching a wild animal.

I tilted my head to the side wondering why, till I looked down and instead of legs I had paws. I tried to speak but all that came out was a whimper. My dad stopped and stood still, I turned around in the direction of the lake to see myself. When I looked at my reflection in the water, what looked back at me was a beautiful silver wolf with an amazing symbol on it's head.

I was confused and turned back to my dad. I proceeded to walk to him, only I never made it far and fell down and the next thing I knew I was surrounded by darkness.

Asher's P.O.V

Once Jay and I got to the park house and parked our bikes, we headed straight to my dad's office. I knocked on the door and when I heard him say 'come in', we entered. My dad was sitting at his desk busy with some paperwork. He looked up at us and took off his glasses.

"What seems to be the problem boys?" He asked with a bit of concern.

"Well....we just figured something out but not really certain if it's correct or not." I replied. He looked at me with one eyebrow up and a thin line on his lips.

"Dad you know that research we've been busy with for the past 4 years, after we found that weird graveyard just outside our boarders?"

"Yes, why?" He looked really confused on why I brought up the topic. Just a few years ago, when I had my first shift at 16, Jay, Cole, Jasper and I went for run. We didn't realize that we passed the pack line and found our ways in an abandoned territory.

We then came across this freaky looking field. It had bones and dried up blood everywhere. We decided to go have more of look so, we went further in. The place really gave us the creeps, but then we spotted a huge wolf skull with this amazing symbol on it's head, which I had recognized.

When I was 13 I spent the day in the pack library and came across an old history book. It was based on an old kingdom that used to rule over a pack called The Silver Moon Pack. The symbol was the same as the crest of the royal family from 100 years ago.

The rulers of the pack was, Alpha King Tyler and his mate and Queen Luna Emma, both were silver wolves and had that symbol on their heads, to show the silver wolf gene. The king and Queen had two children, twins in fact, by the names of Vanessa and Justin.

They were like best friends and always got along, that is until Justin stated getting jealous of his sister. Their parents had decided to make Vanessa Queen, as she had shown the signs to have gotten the silver wolf, just like her parents, when they turned 18.

Justin on the other hand did not, he had gotten a normal wolf. The King and Queen had sought for Vanessa to be the strongest out of the two, and therefore making her Queen of The Silver Moon Pack.

When Vanessa became Queen, the night of the coronation, their parents had been murdered by Justin himself, but he make it look like it was a rouge attack. After the funeral Vanessa had overheard her brother's plan to get the throne from her. The first step was to kill their parents then her. She banished him from the kingdom and territory, due to not having the heart to kill her own brother.

Vanessa soon found her mate and had a daughter a few years later. When this information was out and Justin heard of it 5 years later, he swore to kill his niece and destroy his sister's happiness. Justin had declared war on the kingdom and Vanessa had no choice and prepared for what was to come.

Vanessa then hid her 5 year old daughter away and went to fight in the war to protect those she loved. The whole war had turned into a bloodbath and the kingdom fell. The Queen's daughter was never found and the search for her died down a few years after the war.

Some had still believed that she was alive and it was true. Someone had informed Justin about her and he immediately sent out to look for her. It was also said that Payton( Vanessa's daughter) had found her mate and had a baby. Payton fought against Justin with her mate, only her baby was never found, and that was 18 years ago.

Anyway so after we discovered that place we went off and told my dad about it. We have been looking for Payton's daughter till this day and I think we might have found her already.

"Yeah and umm....remember when we heard that Payton's daughter is still alive?"

"Yes and again why?" My dad really seems to be getting annoyed with me.

"You see umm.....we may have found her-but we're not certain that it is her. It's just that all the stories of the silver wolves is that they shift at 18 and-" He cut off my rambling and spoke with a growl laced in his voice.

"Can you just get to the damn point Asher?!" Okay he's angry at me. Just as I was about to speak, Jay jumped straight to point.

"We think that Alisyah is Payton's daughter, a silver wolf and is shifting tonight. Also she's Asher's mate."I guess he got tired of me wasting time, but did he really have tell my dad about her being my mate?

"What?!" My dad said in surprise and stood up from his chair. Then he turned to me." And you, why haven't you told me? For how long have you known?" He had a finger pointed at me.

"Alpha, sorry to be rude but we don't have time for this. We only have about 2 hours till the moon rises and Alisyah shifts so, can we please get on with it?" Jay said and he was right we don't have much time. Both my dad and I nodded and left his office.

My dad mind-linked a few of our warriors to keep a look out for Alisyah, in case she passed by anywhere. We then made our way to Alisyah's house, to speak to her parents and to see if she might be there. Unfortunately she wasn't.

We did find her mother Elizabeth though, she was in the kitchen. She seemed surprised on why we were there but we didn't have enough time to explain why. We asked her where Alisyah was, and she said that she went to find her father Chris.

We then took her with us and went to find warrior Chris. He was patrolling the boarders as usual only Alisyah was not with him. He had informed us that she had left about an hour ago to the lake, as a birthday tradition. Jay looked at his watch and said that we only had an hour left.

Elizabeth had asked questions on why we were looking for Alisyah and as we were about to explain, as we walked towards the lake, we heard a scream coming from where the lake was located.

The screaming never stopped as we all neared and the sound of bones breaking could be heard as well. She was shifting and fast, faster then any wolf.

Once we got to the lake there was a beautiful silver wolf in place of Alisyah. Her father walks closer to her but she didn't seem to notice, till he stepped on a twig did her head snap at him. Alisyah let out a whimper as she tilts her head looking at her father. She then looks down at her paws and gives a confused look.

She turns the other way, towards the lake and looks at herself. Alisyah then turns back and starts to walk to her father. Only she doesn't make it far and passes out. As her body drops, I ran towards her to catch her head before it hits the ground. She started to shift back to human and just then a warrior comes running to us with a blanket in his hand. My dad must have mind linked him to. The symbol on her head started to fade as she shifts fully back to human.

I picked her up and carried her bridal style in my arms back to the pack house to the infirmary. As i walked through the pack house, I felt everyone's eyes on me. I ignored it and carried on walking, I heard some of them whispering to each other and others just looked shocked.

Alisyah's P.O.V

Antiseptics and sanitizer. That was the first things I smelt when I woke up. I didn't want to open my eyes due to the bright sunlight banging on my eyelids, shining through the window. My head was killing me and my body ached. I don't really remember what happened last night. All I remember is one minute seeing paws the next darkness.

I slowly opened my eyes again, but had to blink a few times to let my eyes adjust to the light. I sat up and looked around, I was in the pack infirmity, no wonder I smelt antiseptics when I woke up. Just as I was about to get out of the hospital cot I was in, I heard voices outside the room.

As the door opened I was hit with the most heavenly scent of musk and willow tree wood. I took in a deep breath and closed my eyes. When I opened them again my dad, Jesse, Jay, Alpha and Asher were in the room. I was surprised to see Asher here honestly. He never cared so, why is he here?

"Your awake." My dad came over to me and gently hugged me as my body was still sore." How are you feeling?"

"I'm okay dad thanks. Just a bit sore." I replied with a smile.

"That's normal after your first shift sweetheart, but you'll be okay." He smiled back at me and sat next to me on the cot. When he said first shift I was shocked. I had my first shift!

"Hey there. You good?" Jesse and Jay came up next and Jesse gave me a hug and Jay a high five. I gave them both a smile and nod to answer their question.

"You gave us quite a scare there Alisyah." Alpha said with a small laugh. He came over to me and gave me me a hug. I returned the hug and laughed as well. As we all spoke I couldn't get that scent out of my head and it's close really close. Just then I felt a stir on the inside of my head and all of a sudden I heard a voice.

'MATE!' The voice growled out.

'Who said that?' I asked startled hearing the voice.

'Oh! I'm sorry I almost forgot, silly me. I'm Amber, your wolf. It's so nice to finally meet you!!'

'OMG! This is awesome! Hi! It's nice to meet you too. You know I honestly thought I didn't have a wolf after my 16th birthday.'

'Yeah sorry about that, let me explain—' Amber explained everything to me, about my grandparents, my real mom and her crazy jealous granduncle. She even told me that he's out looking for me and wants to kill me. He is determined to end the silver wolf line and take the last of it for himself and use it to take out the entire werewolf race.

I just thought he's plain out crazy, like just because he didn't get the silver wolf does not mean that he has to kill the whole of the werewolves. Amber also mentioned that I have to start training more and learn to fight in wolf form. Justin might just want to start another war. She also told me that Asher is my mate.

"Honey are you okay?" My dad was waving his hand in front of my face. I nodded then my eyes landed on Asher where he stood right in the back of the room. We locked eyes and I felt a shiver run down my spine. I then whispered out softly but loud enough for everyone to hear.

"Mate."
