Dammed prized pig.
“Dad, you know how I feel about these stupid parties” I say to him.
“Kahi, your mate is out there, we need to find him before you can take up my place as alpha” he gets out with a sigh.
Rolling my eyes “do we really have to do this, dad? I feel like the prize pig at a summer fête”
“You always look beautiful.” And with that he walked away, “you have 10 minutes”
I stared at myself in the floor length mirror, the emerald green ball gown was tight in all the right places, bringing out the green in my hazel eyes. Off the shoulder, with a sweetheart neckline, skimming over my ample chest and hips, it flowed to the ground, the hem pooling around my feet. My red hair fell in waves around my shoulders, thick and sumptuous. My small moonstone necklace sat just in the dent between my collarbones. I was never happy in heels, being 5”6 I think I can get away with wearing my beat up combat boots underneath, the dress is long enough to hide it, I mean sure, dad would likely kill me if he figured, but at least I’ll be comfortable. I wore the smallest amount of make up, but couldn’t go without my winged eyeliner, it accentuates my eyes, making me look sultry, with no effort! I smiled at myself, then took a deep breath and headed towards the pack hall.
There they all were, my beautiful family, my 2 younger sisters, the fruit of my fathers second chance mate, after my mom decided we weren’t enough for her, so she ran. I was 6, I haven’t seen her since.
“Alpha. Luna.” I bowed my head hiding my smirk. It’s hard being formal with my dad and mum. My sisters I just grabbed them both and pulled them into a three-way hug. I loved them dearly.
Alpha cleared his throat, so I stood back next to my siblings and looked around the hall.... bloody hell there was a lot more than the last “party”. I threw a scared glance and my dad, and he winked....
