Writingcamp - Soldier

Step One: Write down your ideas - A strong and independent woman soldier encounters a man with a mysterious aura. - There has been an attack on the city - The woman has a dormant side that she initially does not know of.  Step Two: Draw the plot 1-2 Mia Williams, a single woman living on her own with a 9 - 5 office job is called into military service. There has just been an attack targeting the capital city and chaos is starting to form, people are being evacuated. On the transportation bus she notices a guy giving off some strange vibes but she doesn't pay it too much attention at the time.  3. Mia falls asleep on the bus and nightmares start tormenting her.  Refining and questioning:  Why is Mia being called in service Mia has basic military training and showed exceptional combat skill as far as strength and speed which made the army put her in a special group of soldiers. She does find it odd and it will be her first time in action and she doesn't know what to expect. There has been an attack on the capital where Mia lives and the government has decided to evacuate the citizens. What starts mias nightmares The mysterious guy on the bus seems to have something to do with this. He is a supernatural creature that can invade her senses which is easier for him to do when she is sleeping. Mia is also, without knowing it, sensitive to supernatural creatures and can feel their energy. Also she is part one herself which she doesn't know in the beginning but will find out later.  Step 3: Add scenes, supporting characters and logic.  Scene 1: Getting to transportation Mia is leaving the subway, walking in the narrow terminal corridor now flooded with a stream of people trying to get to the buses. The surrounding is noisy and the air is smokey from a fire a couple of blocks away. A baby is crying somewhere and Mia passes an old lady who has stopped on the side, resting sitting on her wheeled suitcase. Her eyes connect with Mia's and she gets a weird feeling in her stomach. The old lady smiles tierdly at Mia and breaks eye-contact while Mia continues to walk with the stream of people now heading down the stairs to where the buses are waiting, unsure of what just happened. Scene 2: Flashback to incalling 3 days earlier.  The door is jammed again, why didn't I stop by the hardware store on my way home and got that bloody spray for the lock. Mia curses herself while forcefully jerking the door open. An envelope singles down and lands at her feet. The outside is bland, no sender, no receiving address. Mia picks it up and closes the door behind her. Opening the envelope there is only one line written.  “ Pack your bag and get ready” She knew what this meant, she had been told when she was picked to the special force in training that this could happen. She was supposed to pack her one bag lightly and wait for further instructions.The second part, get ready ment that she needed to get a relief from work, without telling them specifically why. The ones from her group were never allowed to reveal when or why they were called in.  Eight hours later Rrrrriiiinnnnggg….Phone wakes her up.  - Hello? - 05:00, City terminal, dress casual, do NOT draw attention to yourself.  Click... Scene 3: Bus Chris spots Mia in a distance and waves a bit reluctant to her. She notices and starts making her way to him in the sea of people trying to find a bus that can take them out of town. As soon as Mia gets up next to Chris, the bus rolls up to them, Front door opens and they get on. They move back in the bus and grab two double seats. Just as they pit their bags on the shelf above them Tom enters the bus. - GOOD MORNING Y’ALL!  - That guy can not be subtle, can he? Chris says.  - Nope! Mia answers. - Williams! You are as beautiful as ever, what would I give to wake up next to you, a pretty flower, give your old Tomtom a kiss babe! Tom crashes down on the seat beside Mia, puts his arm around her shoulders and leans in for a kiss.  Chris puts on his headphones that were hanging around his neck and turns to look out the window.  - You know that ain't gonna happen Tom. Mia says while pushing Tom's face away.  - Oh common! Don't be mean, you know I love you… Tom's voice dampens down and Mia stops hearing him. That strange feeling in her stomach starts again but this time she also feels like her hearing stops working. When she looks up she sees someone settle on a seat in the front part of the bus. Something inside Mia is now pacing and she feels restless. She dont know why, but she can't take her eyes off the guy in front but when he starts to turn his head Mia quickly turns her eyes to the window on her side.
