Thirteen I reread my notes for the fifth time that morning, preparing for the presentation that could change everything. “You’ll be okay,” William said, placing a reassuring hand on my arm. “I believe in you.” “Thank you.” I leaned across to give him a chaste kiss and catch the adoring twinkle passing through his eyes.
