Chapter 7: The Note

Owen’s POV

When I woke up in my bed with my arms wrapped around my mate’s waist and her face buried I’m my chest I just knew that I could wake up like this every morning. I gently unwrap myself from my mate and slip off to the bathroom when someone tries to mind-link me.

“Son there’s something that you need to see and I need you to come straight to my office imediently.” my father said to me with a worry some tone to his voice so whatever it is I know it’s Important.

“Yes sir, on my way.” I replied.

After coming out of the bathroom I take a few seconds to admire my love laying in our bed wearing my shirt and my mark on her neck. I am so proud to have been blessed with such a caring, smart, beautiful, and strong mate. Sometimes I question if maybe Izzy is to good for me. I know that she loves me because I can feel it every time I’m near her or every time she sees me. What did I do to deserve such a wonderful woman I wonder? I finally start making my way to my father’s office when I realize both my father’s beta and mine are there as well.

“What’s going on? Is everything alright?” I question when I see everyone’s faces are filled with nothing but worry and anxiety including my father who worries about nothing but my mother.

“Son there’s been a note that was found by Maliki and Beta Alaric that we all think that you need to see.” my father replied.

It reads, go ahead Alpha Owen and keep your mate close. Don’t let her go anywhere without your strongest pack members because I’m waiting for your guard to drop. Isabella will be mine. Signed by Alpha Jacoby Laklen of the Blood Moon Pack. I let out a growl so loud I certain it must have woke up someone in this house.

“Is there any leads on who this Alpha is or what pack he’s from because I’ve never even heard of the Blood Moon pack?” I questioned as I looked to my father and our beta’s.

“No Alpha there isn’t. I was getting rid of the other rouge bodies that were found at the boarder over night and found that in the pocket of his jacket.” said Maliki.

“Okay, were our trackers able to find the location of this Rouge pack?” I asked.

“They got out about 2 miles away from the boarder and then the trail goes cold.” answered Beta Alaric.

“I understand. Listen nobody says anything to Isabella about this. There’s no need to worry her over something that may not even happen. Your dismissed.” I said as I allowed the beta’s to go to sleep since they were doing perimeter runs late last night. Goddess please help me protect my mate.

As I head back to my room I feel frightened and instantly realize it isn't my fear, but it belongs to my mate. Once I make that connection I can hear Isabella screaming at the top of her lungs and that worries me. I throw open my bedroom door and see that there is no one in the room but Izzy and she's thrashing around.
