Chapter 10: Pregnant And Alpha/Luna Ceremony

Isabella's POV

I was woken up by an intense wave of nausea. I tried to get up but I couldn't move. I turned over and was met by my mates chest that I punched and heard the bones in my hand break. I screamed and Owen woke up and got into a defensive stance.

"Move Owen or I'm gonna vomit on you." I said right before I gaged and threw him off the bed when I ran to the bathroom almost not fast enough.

"Love, do I need to mind-link the pack doctor?" Owen asked his voice laced with worry.

"Maybe." I said between gags.

"Alright my love, I'm coming in okay." Owen informed me. "I've mind-linked the pack dr. and she should be getting here any minute." shortly after we hear a knock at the door.

"Sis are you okay?" Maliki asked through our mind-link as Shella came into the bathroom.

"What do you think?" I replied annoyed because we always know when the other is sick.

"Hello Isabella, Owen tells me that you woke up throwing up and by the looks of things I can see he has a good reason for worrying." Shella stated.

"No ma'am I feel like I was hit by a train." I tell her. my eyes burn so I know I probably look like s**t.

"I've brought you a bag, do you think you can make it down to the hospital so we can get some lab work done?" she asks me.

I nod my head and Owen picks me up.

"Do you really need lab work now? I know that it's rare for us to be sick and that would be a good reason to worry, but does it have to be done right now?" Owen asks.

"I'm afraid so. I just wanna rule out a few things first." Shella replied.

We make out way to the hospital only having to stop a few times on false alarms. When we get there the Alpha and Luna's hospital room is already set up. Owen sets me on the bed and we both look to Dr. Shella.

"First things first, I need a urine sample from you then when I come back to get it I'll come to draw some blood." she informs us before exiting the room to go put in the orders.

I go to the bathroom and do my business and Owen is pacing the room when I come out.

"Owen?" I say to gain his attention. "What's wrong?" I ask.

"I'm just worried is all, I'm sure its nothing though." he says with a sad smile on his face.

Dr. Shella comes back with a kit to draw my blood with. "Okay this will take a little bit to get back, just hang out and I will be back as soon as we have some results." with that she leaves and goes to figure out what the hell is going on with me.

"The only thing that I can think of that could be making me sick is if we are pregnant." I tell Owen after the door is closed.

"Don't get me wrong Izzy I would love nothing more than to have a couple pups with you, but I don't think now would be a goo time." Owen says while running his hand through his hair.

"I know. I don't want to be pregnant but it is a possibility since the first time we had s*x I was in heat." I tell him to try to help ease his mind.

"Okay, I think I have it figured out but I need to take a look at something. Here's a blanket to cover your waist and everything below." she says as she walks back in pulling something behind her and handing me a blanket. "Can you pull your shirt over your belly for me please?" she asks.

"s**t! The pregnancy test came back positive didn't it?" Owen and I say at the same time.

"Yes it did but I want to do an ultrasound to see how many babies there are and to tell you how far along you are." she informs us and I get a lump rising in my throat.

"Okay I just see one baby congratulations Alpha, Luna. I am gonna say that you are about a month along but with us wolves our pregnancies only last 3 months. come see me in 2 weeks and we should be able to see what this little one will be." she tells us.

"Thank you Dr." Owen tells her with relief in his voice.

"No problem now you to go get some rest. If you need anything just come see me or let me know." Shella says before leaving the room.

I wipe the goey stuff off of my stomach and Owen picks me up and carries me back to our room.

"You do know we will have to tell your mom and have our Ceremony done within the next few days right babe?" I ask owen because I don't think its hit him that we are having a pup yet.

Mhm is all I got before we both drifted off back to sleep but this time with Owens hand on my belly.

When we wake back up it is nearly noon. I wiggle my way out of Owens arms so that way I can go to the bathroom. When I come out Owen is sitting on the bed waiting for his turn.

I decide to go down stairs and wait for Owen in the kitchen.

"What does my beautiful mate want for brunch?" he asks making me jump.

"Pancakes sounds great but not yours, I want your moms pancakes no offence. and this would be a good time to tell your parents." I reply.

"Okay I'll mind-link her and my dad now." he says before his eyes cloud over indicating he is in fact mind-linking them. "They are on their way down now."

"Shit." I say as I go to grasp the handle to the coffee cup I wanted to use. "I completely forgot to have the Dr. wrap my hand last night."

"Love why would they have wrapped your hand? Let me look at it. Owen says with concern in his voice.

"It's nothing, I think I broke it last night when I hit your chest. That's why I screamed, but it didn't hurt last night that I noticed." I told him but the pain was going away so I think it might have just been a sprain instead of a break. "It doesn't really hurt that bad, so it may just be a sprain. I promise to go get it looked at after breakfast."

"Mom, Dad we have somethings that we all 4 need to discuss." Owen tells the Luna and Alpha in a tone so serious that they don't even suspect a thing. I really hope that Jamie doesn't blow all of our ear drums.

"Alright son, what is it?" says Alpha Mason.

"Okay, Izzy love do you want to do the honors of the first topic?" my wonderful mate asks.

"Alpha, Luna look at this." I say handing the Luna my ultrasound pictures.

"Oh my goddess Mason would you look at that. We're gonna have a grand-pup!!!!!!" she starts calm at first then screams the last part. My parents come running down thinking that we are under attack.

"What's going on? What happened?" my father questioned.

"Nothing Alaric. We just learned of some exciting news!" Alpha Mason informed.

"What is it? I wanna know to." my mother whined. so the Luna passes her the ultra sound pictures. she gasps and faints. My father catches her.

"Chrystal, honey breathe and tell me what's going on." dad tells her.

"Grandparents." is all my mother says before she passes out and the pack dr. comes in.

"What happened before she passed out?" Dr. Shella asked.

"She just found out that she's gonna be a grandmother." Owen said.

"Oh, she's gonna be fine. She was probably just overwhelmed and passed out due to shock. Beta Alaric, why don't you take her upstairs and put her to bed. A little rest is all she needs." she said to my dad.

"Okay, now back to business we need to get the pack house ready for our Alpha and Luna Ceremony." I spoke softly. I'm very nervous but I know that this needs to happen before I start showing and the pack becomes suspicions.

"Spoken like a true Luna." Jamie said. I smiled at the recognition I am receiving. "Before our grandbaby is born though your father and I are going to take a short vacation to Florida." she concluded more to Owen than myself.

"So you both you crazy bats, no offence, can start planning." Owen said with a cheeky grin. "We would like to be able to take over by the end of tomorrow. I know that it's such short notice and that my birthday is another week away, but Izzy and I were wanting to get this over with before she started showing."

"Alright son, Marcus go book our flights for tomorrow night, and Maliki as soon as your mom wakes up let her know what the game plan is." Jamie said with an authoritive tone to her voice.

A few hours later and everything is in full swing for our ceremony.

"Love are you ready?" Owen calls in our private mind-link.

"Yes dear, Viki is just finishing up my make up." I tell him just before my mother walks in.

"Oh honey, you look so beautiful. I just wanted to come tell you how proud I am of you." she said with tears brimming her eyes.

"Thanks mom. I love you and dad so much." I tell her.

"Okay all done. Lets get going so that way we aren't late." Viki says.

I walk behind my mom and Viki but unlike them I don't continue. I stop just before I reach the top and meet Owen there.

"You look beautiful love." he whispers in my ear as we walk down the stairs.

"Okay everyone. Lets get this started. Owen, would you and your mate please join me and your mother up on stage?" Marcus booms and the croud falls silent. Owen and I walk up on stage and Marcus continues, "Do you Owen Allen Carter accept the role of Alpha of the Midnight Sun pack?"

"I do." Owen answers.

"And do you Isabella Dawn Stephenson accept the role of Luna of the Midnight Sun pack?" Jamie asks me.

"I do." I answered, and puffed my chest out with pride.

The croud roars in congratulations. Owen's parents each use the same knife to cut our palms and then their own transferring their power to us. All of the sudden I feel the serge and pass out from all the extra strength I now have.

I woke up and look at my clock as it flashes 2:45 A.M. I grone and get up to go throw up again. Once I'm finished I hear Owen mumble in his sleep so I go check on him. When I walk out of the bathroom I see Owen rolling back and forth in the bed.

"Owen baby?" I say but it appears that he is having a nightmare. I shake his shoulder gently and say "Baby wake up its just a dream." when I say that he jerks and wakes up.

"I'm sorry love, are you alright? I didn't hurt you did I?" he asked.

I smiled at him and said "Yes baby I'm just fine. You didn't start having your bad dream until after I got out of bed. Do you wanna talk about it?" I asked.

"No baby it was just a dream. I will be just fine." he replied. "Go back to sleep."

After that I laid down and got comfortable in the arms of my mate. I then allowed myself to be swept away into the darkness.
