Chapter 5: Preperations

Owen's POV

After marking my stunningly beautiful mate I can feel that some one is trying to mind-link me.

"This had better be important." I said to whoever is trying to talk to me.

"Son, I need to speak to you in my office. It's urgent." my father boomed, I don't think that his tone was intentional but it pissed Alec, my wolf, off.

"Yes sir. I'll be right there." I answered before I cut my link off to the pack.

"I'm sorry love, but I should be back before you wake. Owen" I wrote and laid my note on her bedside table before quietly exiting my mates room. I make my way up to the top floor where all the rooms used by the Alpha and his family are located. I knock before I enter to let my father know I'm the one coming in. Even my mother knocks on his door and I don't get it because she is the Luna of our pack, but if that's the way they want things worked out then so be it.

"Son, please, set down." my father said.

"Yes Alpha, what can I do for you?" I replied.

"We need to discuss when you would like to let the pack know that you have found your mate. I don't think anyone outside of this house knows about what happened this morning." my father stated and I knew he was right. I have to figure this out and sooner rather than later.

"Okay , let me talk with Izzy and see if this afternoon works for her." I suggested to him. I'm hoping he agrees because I don't want her to be put on the spot and be uncomfortable.

"Alright son. If that is what you want then I will respect it. Then we can start letting your mother plan your Alpha ceremony and Isabella's Luna ceremony." He chuckled. We both know how my mother can be, and when she starts planning something there's no stopping her.

I head back upstairs after retrieving two bottles of water. I can hear my mate moving around before I even get close to her room. Goddess this woman is going to be the death of me. I do have to say the sparks I feel when we touch is unlike what I've been told.

"We already love her don't we?" I asked Alec.

"That's what the mate bond is dumb human" He replied.

I'm pulled out of my thoughts when I hear Izzy's voice. "Are you gonna give me one of those or are you just gonna stand out here staring off into space?"

"I'm sorry love. My dad need to speak with me regarding something pretty important." I replied with a devilish grin because even if she thinks that I haven't been paying attention to her I have, and I know how much she hates being the center of attention.

"Okay what's up?" she said opening up her bedroom door for me to come in. We both take a seat and I set our waters down. Through our bond I can feel her nervousness so I grab both of her hands and hold them in mine.

"My dad wants me to talk to you about when you want to be presented to the pack as my mate. I know that you don't like to be the center of attention but this has to be done sooner or later." I told her. I feel terrible that I have to put her through this and I know she feels my emotions just as much as I feel hers.

"Your right this does need to be done sooner or later. Why don't we do it before dinner tonight?" she said. I love her more and more by the second because its like she's reading my mind.

"I'm so glad that you said that because that was my idea. I told my dad that I wanted to make sure you were comfortable with the idea. Now that that is out of the way I will let my mom know and chances are she's gonna want to help you get ready." I explained to help ease her mind.

"Okay well let me shower first then then I will be down for a bite to eat and your mom can begin preparation's for the ceremony."

"Alright go get cleaned up. Also while your in there think of what you want to eat even if I have to go buy you something I will do my best to make it happen."

"Bye baby." she said that and, I feel like a chick, but my heart skipped a beat.

"Bye love. if you need anything let me know, okay?" I said just so she knew she knew.

"Okay, now go so I can shower." and with that she kicked me out of the room.

"Hey Mom, Dad. Izzy wants to do it this afternoon before dinner that way we can all have a meal and celebrate." I told them through our private mind-link.

"That's great son."

"Yes I'm so excited! I will get with Chrystal right away and get plans started! Oh my Goddess I actually have a daughter now!" my mom squealed and I can all but see my dad's cringy grin because it matches mine.
