The secret Alpha

Hi! I’m Lily, I am part of the Moon shadow pack, although it really doesn’t feel as though I am part of the pack at all. I work at the pack house, we live in a small town so it is not that big. I live in the shed behind the pack house, it is barely isolated, my bed is standing on book piles to stay off the floor and when it rains the shed floods. My life is amazing right?! Let me introduce you to the important people in my pack. Alpha Ruben is our alpha, he got that title two years ago when he turned 21. In our pack the alpha title passed down when the new alpha is 21. Alpha Ruben had a huge party to celebrate both his birthday and new title. His bride is our new Luna, her name is Lucy. Lucy and I used to be best friends, that was until she got her wolf when she turned 20, I know weird age to get your wolf eight? Apparently it’s normal in our pack that she wolves get their wolf 2 years after the immature boys do. Okay back to Lucy now, ever since she had her wolf and found out Ruben was her mate we couldn’t be friends anymore. “It’s weird if my best friend is a maid when I am the Luna of the pack” she said. I felt terrible, my best friend for as long as I remembered pushed me away because of a title. I used to blame her but I have forgiven her. Next is our Beta, we have a female beta named Georgina, or GiGi for short (and only if she allows you.) GiGi is one of the few people in this pack who cares about me. She would lose her title if the pack knew about the things she did for me so I made sure to never talk to her in public. GiGi brings me food at night and makes sure I have clean clothes. She also sits and talks to me sometimes. Like I said, the pack would strip her of everything if they found out, so hush! This is everyone that is important in my story, or at least for now. Tomorrow I turn 20, which means I will get my wolf! I am really excited to meet her and once I know my wolf I am going to make sure I get out of here. Just a few more hours and I can finally Leave this shed behind me, I can leave moon shadow behind me and I can leave this awful “family” behind me. That is what the pack calls itself by the way, a family. It is almost night and I am impatiently waiting in my shed to go out and meet my wolf. I hear sounds outside, someone is walking towards my shed. It couldn’t be GiGi, she had already brought me some food and drank some tea with me. I make myself presentable and back into the corner of the shed making sure there is no evidence of GiGi ever being here. The door swings open and there is Alpha Ruben with his bride Luna Lucy, behind them is GiGi. All three of them barge into my shed and start discussing with each other, ignoring they went in my living space and I am actually there. “We can’t tell her like this, now” I hear GiGi say. I want to ask what she means but I know better than to do that whilst Alpha Ruben and Luna Lucy are here as well. “We have to tell her at some point” Luna Lucy responds to her. “What better day than the day she gets her wolf?! She might get ideas if we don’t” Alpha Ruben stays quiet as if he’s deep in thought. “She turns 20 today, correct?” He asks, Lucy and GiGi nod, “that means she will get her wolf, correct?” He asks, again Lucy and GiGi nod their heads. At this point I have no idea what is going on and I am just silently looking at them. After a little more discussion I get exactly non the wiser from they all three abruptly turn to me. Alpha Ruben clears his throat and looks me up and down before he speaks. “Lily, you are changing tonight. I need you to be careful and I need you to be at the pack house tomorrow morning at exactly 9:30 in the morning.” I look at him blinking my eyes as if this is a strange dream. “This is what the discussion was for?!” I snap, instantly regretting the tone I had. “I am so sorry Alpha Ruben, I am just confused. You were discussing telling me something but if all you were to tell me was to be at the pack house at 9:30 sharp tomorrow morning, did you really have to discuss it here?” I ask him, terrified of his response for I know that I have gone too far talking to him this way. Alpha Ruben looks at Luna Lucy and Beta GiGi before looking back at me. “Just prepare yourself for your first shift and see me tomorrow. We have visitors coming so I need the pack house clean before you see me in my office.” And with that Alpha Ruben and Luna Lucy turn around and leave the shed. Beta GiGi stays a little longer preparing me and explaining how to stay safe during my first shift. Then she looks up at me, I can sense worry in her big brown eyes, her gorgeous brown curls fall down over her freckled face as she whispers “can you keep a secret?” Looking at me as if she is getting caught doing something terrible. “GiGi you know I can, no one knows you come in here and no one knows I don’t refer to you by your name, nor your title.” I respond to her. With that she lowers her gaze and softly tells me “Alpha Ruben has sold you to Alpha Derek of the moon angel pack.” I look at her, my jaw dropping the floor “He Sold me?!” I snap, “He sold me to the biggest playboy, most dangerous Alpha in the entire region?!” I look at GiGi who looks like she is about to cry. “I am so so sorry” she mutters to me. “No GiGi, I am so sorry for talking to you like this, you have been nothing but nice to me and I am eternally grateful for that. But you should really go, you have been here so long it is starting to get suspicious! I don’t want to cause you any trouble” I told her. GiGi looks at me and gives me a tight hug, “Lily, you will always be like a sister to me even if no one can know we even talk to each other” and with that she leaves my shed returning to the pack house. I waited for my shift, when it was midnight I still didn’t feel anything happening to me. I went outside thinking that maybe I just needed the fresh air but when still nothing was happening I decided to take a nap before having to clean the pack house and do all of my chores. I tossed and turned but I couldn’t sleep, I kept thinking about the weird interaction in my shed. I decided to just start up my chores and clean the pack house. I was done when the clock hit 9:00, Alpha Ruben walked in and looked at me with disgust. “Take a shower” he ordered. “Beta GiGi will get you presentable clothes.”
