Ray and clara was walking in the city but suddenly a person approached them.
" This brother must be new here. " It was a young man in shabby clothes with a bright smile on his face.
" Yes and?"
" Why don't i show you around the city? It'll be more easier for you to do things. " The young man said while rubbing his both hand.
" No need. I can do whatever i want by myself. " Ray replied indifferently.
" Ah... i forgot to introduce myself, my name is Ralf, just a small vagrant cultivator in this city. " He didn't mind Rays attitude and kept speaking.
" You stinks... " At this moment clara said while pinching her small nose.
The young man named Ralf couldn't speak for a moment after hearing her words. He felt a little embarrassed.
" Yeah i don't like smelly people. " Ray gave the guy a side look and said.
With a ' puchi ' sound clara burst into laughter.
Ralf became speechless at this moment. Wasn't this too straightforward? Clara was one thing but Ray was a big grown man. Even if he smells a little bad does he have to point it out like this. He recovered after a few seconds and spoke again.
" Brother you have offended vallal family guards, they won't let this matter go. Why don't you come to my house for a rest and you can leave secretly at night. "
" What's in it for you? " Ray asked with a smile.
" No no brother don't misunderstand, i have no ulterior motives. I just want to help you. " Ralf quickly shook his head.
" Why do you want to help us? " Clara asked tilting her head. Ray looked at her and gave a thumbs up.
" I....." Ralf stuttered.
" Okay don't waste my time. " Ray waved his hand and walked away.
Ralf quickly followed him behind. Ray didn't mind, he leisurely walked around the streets without any care but suddenly a shout sounded.
" Young master thats him... " It was the burly looking guard back at the tavern, pointing his finger toward Ray. Beside him stood a young man wearing red robe. A few strong guards were also with him.
" Brother, thats vallal family patriarch's son Leywen vallal. " Ralf whispered.
" Kneel down and beg forgiveness or die. Your choice. " Leywen vallal arrived infront of Ray and shouted arrogantly.
Spectators watched the fun with excitement, they whispered to each other about what's going on. Those who knew the back story explained.
" Who's that kid? How did he offended vallal young master? "
" I don't know. Maybe he courted vallal young masters woman." Someone joked.
" Look at his clothes....is he worthy of pursuing a woman that vallal young master likes. " Another cultivator sneered.
" Thats not the case. I saw back at the tavern, he killed one of vallal young master's guard. " A cultivator who saw Ray killing the guard explained from the side.
" Huh, so bold."
" No one can save him. He dug his own grave. "
" Kneel down? Beg forgiveness? " Ray laughed after hearing his words.
" Boy what are you laughing at! Didn't you hear what our young master said! " The burly looking guard shouted.
" Of course i heard him. " Ray said smilingly.
" Then kneel down already and beg or else no one can save you." The guard said with an evil smile.
Leywen's eyes suddenly fell on clara. A strange light flashed in his eyes. Clara felt a sudden chill on her back as she quickly hid behind Ray.
Rays eyes turned cold, the temperature around dropped instantly. Everyone felt that they have been trapped in an icy glacier.
" Whats going on? " The guards panicked and looked around but surprisingly they saw everything was the same.
" An illusion? " They felt confused.
Leywen vallal struggled to keep calm but his back was already drenched with cold sweat. He didn't understand what happened suddenly. He felt so cold that it almost stopped his heart from beating as if a primordial beast was gazing at him like prey.
Leywen recovered after a few seconds, he looked at Ray with sharp killing intent.
Everyone looked at this minute changing spectacle with excitement.
" Kill him. " Leywin ordered.
Ray couldn't help but smile. His smile couldn't be more bright as if he heard the most delightful word in the world.
