Chapter 19 : A visit to the Deadland.

" Do whatever you want with him. " Ray waved his hand slightly, not caring about it.
Elea nodded and looked toward Almon and took a palm shot. Almon was horrified and wanted to scream but before he could open his mouth his body collapsed in the ground. She completely crippled him, although it wasn't necessary, but Iron gate sect was acting very arrogant recently so she taught him a lesson to vent her anger.
" Now Lets settle our transaction, shall we?" Ray said to the shopkeeper with a smile.
" I..." the shopkeeper wanted to say something but no words came out of his mouth. He sat limply on the ground, with a pale face. He never imagined something like this would happen.
" Call your owner. If you guys don't give me an explanation then don't blame me for being merciless. " Elea coldly uttered.
" No need, no need I'm here young lady Roswell. " An old man with white beard came out in a hurry. " I wasn't inside the shop young lady but when i heard about the commotion i came running. It's this old mans incompetence in managing this shop." The old man bowed his body and said. The old man wasn't a simple person either. His cultivation base was well hidden. If he could open an antique business shop here then that means he has the strength to deter those who are malicious and enough background. But he just don't want to entangle himself with those high level sects and families moreover they are the ruler of this city. It'll be very troublesome if things get out of hand. This time his shop was at fault after all.
" Hummph...Don't think that just because you said sorry I'll let him go. " She snorted.
" Of course, Even If young lady didn't say it i would do it myself." With that said the old man walked towards the shopkeeper.
" Master, master I'm sorry. It won't happen again. please forgive me this time. " The shopkeeper begged and sobbed.
It turned out that the guy was his disciple. The old man grabbed the shopkeeper by the neck, with a ' Kacha ' sound directly broke his neck. Everyone sucked in a cold breath of air, such ruthless action made the spectators gasp.
' This old man is very ruthless even to his disciple. ' Elea assessed him again in a new light.
" Are you satisfied young lady? And also I'll gift this copper ring to this young master. " The old man said with a smile as if killing his disciple didn't matter to him at all.
Ray took the ring nonchalantly without hesitation and put it in. Elea snorted at the old man once more and stood behind Ray again like a maid. The old man squinted his eyes slightly, a Ray of surprise flashed through his eyes. He didn't say or ask anything just gave a natural smile.
All the spectators gave Ray a weird gaze. Being favoured by the young miss of Roswell family, how lucky can he be? Many people gave him look of jealousy. They couldn't understand how this plain looking guy could earn her grace.
Under everyone's envious gaze Ray walked away leisurely from the shop with Elea following behind him.
" You've been away from home for a while, you should return. " Ray said to Elea, his tone was very gentle.
" Young master aren't you coming with me? If you have anything to do maybe i can help. " She said hurriedly, looking at him with anxious eyes.
" No. It's just something personal. I'll visit your family after I'm done." Ray said with a smile, patting her head softly.
" Alright. " She nodded with a sad expression as if he was leaving her behind forever. Her beautiful round eyes turned watery.
" Silly girl, Can't you give a smile for me?" Ray laughed mildly looking at her sad and teary eyes.
Elea forced out a smile, still her smile was as beautiful as a moon peeking out shyly, half covered by the clouds in the night. She looked at his back without blinking as his silhouette fade away in the distance.
Ray inquired about a few things before he left the city. Eastern state may not be as big as Central state but it wasn't small either. It had many dangerous places and secluded grounds full of unknown. Eastern state itself had two forbidden lands. Some people even gave Eastern state another name ' Land of misery ' because it had too many dangerous places. The most perilous place was 'Deadland', one of the two forbidden ground here.
Ray walked toward Deadland. He didn't choose it just because it was full of danger but for another reason. He talked to those lucky guys who came alive after entering the Deadland. They described about their experience and the horror of that place.Those who could get out that place alive aren't simple people, they had extreme luck and power. Of course Ray has his own way of getting information out of them. Ray found something intriguing from their description. Right after his awakening he felt something was here at Eastern continent, but couldn't trace its exact location because that thing hid itself very well. If that thing left unchecked it might bring destruction to this Twelve Spurious World.
Ray made up this name for all of the twelve separated world as a whole. This name might sound weird but he gave it because this world was artificially created. Who knows what people of this world would think after they hear about their world is just artificial, born from the essence of a supreme treasure. Well...no one would believe him anyway and Ray doesn't plan to tell anyone either, at least for now.
