Chapter 21 : Roswell family's trouble.

It's been three months since Ray left the sky city. Elea was leaning on her chair, resting her head with both hands, looking at the scenery outside with a vacant expression on her face. After Ray's departure she always felt a sense of desolace in her heart. She doesn't know why was this happening to her. She couldn't sort out her feelings.
The old woman was watching Elea from not far away sighed internally. Her family young miss has been acting strangely for the past few months, the family lord, Elea's father inquired about this as well.The old woman had to tell family lord in detail of what happened during their journey without hiding anything. Elea's father became very surprised when he heard about it. He knows his daughter well. She never had any interest in things like love.
But now she suddenly become like this in just a few months of his departure. What kind of man could win her daughters heart? he was very curious.
He wanted to capture that man and tie him down, so that her daughter could feel lively again.
Within these few months unbeknownst to Elea, Iron gate sect was making trouble for their Roswell family. They were purposely instigating trouble with them. Family lord had sent many letters regarding the issue to the sect master but the sect master always gave a perfunctory reply.
Soon Roswell family understood something was amiss, he didn't take action, because the date of Three Lords meeting was nearing. The ruling three great powers will send one person each, representing their own forces. Thats why it was called Three Lords meeting were the three representative would discuss their issues, business,transactions and many more problems regarding the safety of Eastern State.The safety and prosperity of Eastern State would be decided through this meeting. All the lower-mid level sects and empires look forward to this meeting. So regarding the issue of Iron Gate sect making trouble, Roswell family lord wanted to express about it in Three Lords meeting, thus he stayed silent. But who knew Iron Gate sect would be so bold to ambush him directly.
" Young lady not good. Family Lord has been ambushed during his return from Three Lords meeting and now is heavily injured." A maid came running in a hurry.
" What!!! Where is father now? " Elea woke up from her trance and shouted.
" Medicine master Sheilong is now treating family lord inside the master room." The maid replied quickly sweating profusely.
Elea ran toward the door with the old woman following behind and disappeared in a flash.
She quickly reached the main hall. The main hall was crowded with a tense atmosphere . Everyone had a solemn expression on their faces. Elea quietly arrived beside her mother and whispered softly.
" Mother don't cry. Father is strong, nothing will happen to him." Elea comforted her mother, in fact she herself felt very worried and anxious inside but chose to stay strong.
Her mothers eyes were red. It can be seen that she had been crying.
" It's those Iron Gate bastards. Family lord said he saw one of their faces during the ambush. " A middle aged man with short red beard said from the side. He was Elea's second uncle.
Elea frowned a little. She never thought that they would dare to attack so directly. Because there was a rule set by the ancestors of all the three powers that they can't attack each other blatantly, if there was any dissatisfaction or riot they would have to solve it through peaceful discussion.
" Uncle they broke the rules. Aren't they afraid of the punishment from both the empire and our family?" Elea asked in confusion, a trace of anger was released from her beautiful cute face.
"Little Eli you are too naive. Do you think their little Iron Gate sect would dare to attack our patriarch so boldly without any preparation or backing? Its true that we always had small conflicts with them but those aren't worth mentioning. They can't break the rules alone unless there's another force backing them....." The red beard man said solemnly, his gaze flickered with cold light.
" You...You mean the Empire is on this matter as well? " Elea exclaimed in shock, if the empire was behind this matter, then that means danger.
" Not sure. Maybe or maybe not. " Elea's uncle shook his slightly.
'This is a matter of great concern. If there's a 4th force interfering then it can be solved by joining hands with the Empire but if not then the consequences would be disastrous.' Elea's uncle thought inwardly.
" Let's wait for the family lords decision after he recovers from his injuries. " An elder said from the side.
Everyone nodded with agreement.
" Lord shiba, Iron Gate sect wants to meet family lord. They came here to beg for justice. " A servant came running.
" Justice? " The red bearded man named shiba frowned.
Everyone looked at each other with confusion.
Elea suddenly thought of something. She almost forgot about that matter when three months ago she crippled their inner disciple. She quickly explained everything to her uncle. Hearing her words shiba nodded but didn't say anything.
" Looks like fighting is inevitable. They only came now to beg for justice right after our family lord was ambushed. " He gave a cold snort. " Lets go and see what they have to say. We need to buy enough time for the family lord to recover. " Shiba Roswell ordered.
He walked toward the guests meeting room with a few important members following behind.
Elea stood beside her mother silently as she prayed in her heart for her fathers quick recovery.
