Chapter 8 : Betrayal.

Lotus Empress stood calmly in the air as she watched the sword s***h reaching towards her. She didn't evade nor did she retaliate. The s***h engulfed her completely, she felt very tiny in comparison infront if it.It didn't stop there, it devastated the thousand mile area around her .Lilith stood at the ground shakily gasping for breath, her figure swayed back and forth.Half of her ink black hair has turned white. Lilia quickly supported her from behind.Lilith gazed at the fiery fire which burned all things asunder.

" Lil' sis do you think she's dead? " Lilia asked solemnly, blood dripped from the corner of her mouth.

" I don't know but hope that's the case. "

As the fire dispersed a vague silhouette could be seen floating midair. In due time Lotus Empresses figure gradually became visible. There was no injury to speak of as if she hadn't been attacked at all. She stood in the air still with a mocking smile on her face.

Lilith's heart almost jumped out of her throat. She couldn't believe her eyes. Her attack couldn't even scratch her in the least. Lilith knew very well how much destructive power that s***h of her contained and yet she came out unscathed.

Lilith couldn't utilise that move again, if she did then she herself would definitely die. What was the point of betting her life when she wasn't even confident whether she could defeat her opponent or not.As long as she was alive there would be hope.

' Could it be she is already a God!' Lilith thought in her heart

Lilith flew into the air slowly with Lilia right behind her.

" You already became a God? " Lilith squinted her eyes at her asked in a cold voice.

" Don't you know the answer yourself?" Lotus Empress asked back.

Inside Servia family Mansion Ray is sipping tea elegantly in his courtyard while gazing at outside.His eyes flickered with light time to time.Old steward jake and Arnold was kneeling infront of him.

" Your excellency please save my daughter, I'll do anything you ask of me. I'll redeem her life in exchange for mine if you wish. please save her. " Both of them pleaded.

" What's the hurry! the real game is about to start. Wait and see. When the time comes I'll naturally lend a hand. " Ray chuckled slightly while gazing at the distance.

Both of them sighed in relief but still there was a faint worry could be seen in their eyes. After all Arnold's both daughter were having a life and death battle and as a father how can he stay calm.He wasn't even qualified to interfere, so he could only plead and prostrate before Ray, asking for his protection.

Lotus Empress's eyes fell on Lilia behind Lilith. She gave a wide grin and vanished from where she stood. Lilith hurriedly wanted to escape with lilia but when she looked back she saw Lotus Empress caught lilia by the neck. Lilia's face became paler and paler. she couldn't breath.

" Let go of her. " Lilith shouted.

Lotus Empress put more pressure on her neck as Lilia closed her eyes, she was getting closer and closer to death which made lilith more anxious.

" You know how to make me let go of her. No?" Lotus Empress said with an evil smile.

" Take it. " She have no choice but to concede.She couldn't gamble with her sister's life.

" You don't have to force yourself. " Empress said with a sincere tone.

Lilith almost vomited blood out of anger.

" Let go of her I'll give the inheritance to you. " Lilith said with a serious tone

" Sure. " Empress agreed and threw Lilia to Lilith.

Lilith caught Lilia and checked her condition.She was just unconscious.

Lilith stepped towards Lotus Empress unsheathed her sword, broke it into two halves, as the sword broke a copper ring fell out from it. Lilith put a drop of her blood into the copper ring and pulled out an ancient wooden box from inside. It had a unique mark engraved on it which was unknown to the people of this era.

She gritted her teeth and handed the box to the Empress. Lotus Empress took the box, inspected it carefully and nodded with satisfaction.

As Lilith gave the box to the empress a sharp pain made her groan.

She moved her neck slightly and looked at the opponent which made her confuse.

" Why? " Lilith asked.

She felt confusion .She somehow stood strong and waited for an answer.

" My dear Little sister even if i tell you why you won't understand " Lilia said with a mocking laughter.

She walked directly infront of the Empress and kneeled.

" Congratulation to the Empress for finally getting the inheritance. "

Empress chuckled slightly and looked towards Lilith and asked

" How do you feel getting betrayed by someone you love dearly? Do you feel anger or sadness? Or both? "

Lilith didn't pay attention to the Empress as she stared at Lilia. She felt like she doesn't know her beloved sister.Was she really her sister? Or she wasn't her sister in the first place.

" Why? " Lilith asked in a calm tone.Maybe it was the calm before the storm.

" Why? That's because i hate you and i don't want to see your smug face. That's all " Lilia sneered.

Lilith felt more and more confused. In her memory she never did anything which could make lilia hate her this much.

" My dear little sister let me tell you before you die. I always hated you since we were little. you were talented and beautiful, always got everyone's attention.Father, mother and everyone loved you so much yet instead you choose to hide your talents and everything, acting aloof and arrogant, whatever father and mother gave, you didn't took it for yourself but gave me instead out pity. Was i really that pitiful to you? I knew you looked down on me but kept a smiling face outside. Everyone thought that you were kind but only i knew your vicious heart.I was neglected, father and mother looked at me with plain eyes because i didn't had your Heaven Shaking talent .One day i met Empress her highness. She gave me hope and power. She helped me reach my current status and power. That's why i devoted my whole life to the Empress. Father found that inheritance but he choose you not me. Wasn't i his eldest daughter? then why? If it weren't for you i would have been the number one. Do you understand now? " Lilia shouted, her face was twisted and hideous.

" I understand. " Lilith replied calmly.

Even though she looked calm her heart is in pain like thousand knives stabbing. She closed her eyes and finally fell to the ground with a thud sound.

" Wipe her out completely. " Lotus Empress ordered flatly.

" Yes,your highness " Lilia bowed.
