Chapter 3 : Sneaky Guest.

"Your excellency, if you don't mind i would like to invite you to our humble abode to show our gratitude." Arnold said very sincerely. He was extremely grateful to Ray for saving his life.
"I don't have much to do anyway, lets go and see." Ray agreed with a smile.
Arnold and the old man became overjoyed. If they can invite such a powerful person in their family then who would dare to act reckless.
Even though their 'Servia' family was one of the six great noble family inside the Star sword Empire but they aren’t invincible. Black Lotus Empire was eying the Star Sword Empire for few generations, show even a little weakness? they would be devoured completely.
After a few days of journey, they finally arrived at the capital of Star Sword.
Their 'Servia' family dominates a vast region of the East side but their main power source were at the capital.
Ray and the others arrived before a majestic mansion, powerful guards guarding the area tightly.
Seeing Arnold the guards became respectful and saluted .
"We've seen the patriarch."
Arnold gestured at the guards slightly and the guards retreated silently. Old steward started leading the way.
Everyone in the family was extremely curious about the identity of Ray but they didn’t dare to inquire. Arnold didn't express much about Ray’s identity either because it would lead to more confusion.
Ray was given a secluded courtyard to live. No one came to disturb him because Arnold sternly ordered everyone to refrain their hands and mouths.
Time to time old steward and Arnold came to him for advises and cultivation guidance. Ray generously pointed their short comings which benefited them immensely.
"Where is the library?" Ray asked Arnold.
"Your excellency, if you wish i can move the whole library to your courtyard, you don't need to bother yourself with this." Arnold replied in a respectful tone.
Ray nodded slightly.
Day passed by only reading books. Now Ray got a general understanding of this world. This world wasn't much big, it was one of the small world among all the twelve worlds and ranked seventh. The strongest and biggest world was the twelfth world. He didn't get much information about these so called higher worlds because once someone ascends to the higher world they could never come back.
This world has six great forbidden land like Colossal abyss. Ray found many information about many places of this world but all of them were irrelevant to him. But the forbidden grounds piqued his interest.
He also learned about many legends and myths but the informations weren't exactly what he needed.
The name of this seventh world was Astral Cloud. According to the legend, Astral Cloud Venerable was the first and last powerhouse who protected the world from a great calamity before the legendary era started and ascended to a higher world to protect this world forever. As for he reached the twelfth world or not it was unknown.
"Astral Cloud huh.. " Ray murmured under his breath.
Few days later, a visitor came knocking on his door. Ray was sitting elegantly on a chair while sipping tea. He immersed himself in the scenery before him.
A young girl snuck up behind him. She tip toed inside his courtyard and started observing him with great interest. Ray didn't bother to pay attention to her either. Both of them were silent. After a while the girl shouted.
"Hey."

"Hey, I'm talking to you."
"_"
She became angry and stomped her foot.
"If you want to talk to someone that's not the proper way, more so how you barged into someone elses room." Ray said plainly.
"Huh...who says! It is my house so this room is also mine when did it become yours?" The girl retorted.
Ray didn't bother to argue with her and drank tea leisurely.
She adjusted her attitude sat next to him.
" Don't you feel bored?" She asked.
Her previous attitude was just acting, she was testing his nature. If Ray were to start arguing with her, she would have marked him as an immature brat but his countenance didn't change at all, instead he faced her calmly like a mature adult. So she adjusted her attitude quickly.
"No.”
"Why?"
"What do you mean why! I’m a scholar so why would i feel bored while reading books?" Ray didn't spared her a glance, continued to read the book in his hand.
“You are a scholar, really? Why can’t i see it. Huh, if you were only a scholar then my father wouldn't have bothered to care about you so much.” She said while looking at him curiously.
"Then what do you think? " Ray asked with a chuckle.
She thought for a while and said "Do you really want to know?" She laughed mischievously.
"Go on."
" Hehe maybe you are my father’s illegal child or something?” She winked at him.
Ray almost fell down from his chair after listening. This girl is without shame. Black lines appeared on his forehead.
"F*ck, you are so wrong and you don't have to guess anything." Ray waved his hand without looking at her.
For some reason she became quiet.
"Say what you want to say, I'm listening." Ray glanced at her for the first time and said.
She was extremely beautiful, milky white skin, deep black watery eyes, curvy body. Her long black hair draped behind her back, her eyes had an exceptional charm which could make any mans heart waver, her figure weren't alluring nor too gorgeous but a mix between. Maybe it was the so called femme fatale or perfection?
Both their gaze met, Ray looked at her with a calm countenance. He looked in her eyes deeply before retracting his gaze.
