“Stay back,” Miri hissed, grabbing Zayne by the shoulder and pulling her away from the door. They were hiding in a meeting room with a long, glass table surrounded by leather chairs. The heavy blinds on the windows shut out any light that might have drifted in from the street; it was so dark that she could only see the other woman as a shadow, and only just.
