“You killed her?”
I bite my lower lip while nodding at Aidan. “I know I should have spoken to you first. I had no right to take matters into my own hands…” I narrow my eyes when Aidan bursts out laughing, head tipped back and holding his stomach. “What?”
It takes Aidan a moment to stop laughing. He takes my face in his hands and smiles. “I don’t give a damn that you killed her.”
“You don’t?”
I thought Aidan would be annoyed with me. Not because he cared about Lorraine, but because I killed her without thought. The woman probably has a family, and they will want to know what happened to their daughter and why.
Goddess, I didn’t even consider what killing Lorraine would mean for her family. I just saw red and ended her life!
