those myths and legends are all fake.
It was raining again. Although the school is less than 15 minutes away from my house, the road was full of puddles after the rain. Especially without a school bus, going to school became a painful task.
Every time this happens, I wish I could turn 16 as soon as possible and get my driver's license. That way, I could drive myself to school.
Riding my bicycle at breakneck speed, I rushed towards school.
Fortunately, I was not late.Unfortunately, as I was approaching the school entrance, a red Ferrari suddenly cut in front of me.
I cursed under my breath. Despite using all my cycling skills, I couldn't avoid falling into the puddle next to the road.My clothes were instantly drenched.Soaked through!
Exasperated, I exclaimed, "Damn it! Are your eyes just for decoration?"
My arms and palms were scratched, and blood seeped from the wounds. But when I saw the man in the red Ferrari, my curses froze in my throat.
I was momentarily stunned, because he was incredibly handsome. He had skin as pale as pearl, golden hair that shimmered in the gloomy rainy day.His purple eyes were so deep and mysterious that when I looked into them, I had the illusion that my soul was being sucked into a purple abyss.
There was an instinctual sense of danger that I sensed in this man's demeanor. His eyes were so cold and emotionless .
But I am not a coward, what was I actually afraid of?
The handsome guy looked at me for two seconds before walking over and reaching out his hand to help me up. But I looked at his pale and delicate hand, instinctively chose to refuse.
However, the boy withdrew his hand without hesitation and didn't even say a word of apology, I felt very angry and a sense of being wronged .So, I deliberately made a fierce face and point my brave middle finger at him.
He paused for a moment, frowned, but instead of getting angry, he smiled lightly and turned around to leave.
After changing my clothes, I rushed into the classroom and sat in the back row as I always do. I skillfully propped up my book to give the appearance of being studious. I never worried that the teacher would notice my distracted tricks, as I was the least noticeable student. My biggest goal was to receive my graduation certificate .Therefore, rightfully and confidently,I took out a popular vampire romance novel, "My Vampire Prince," and starting to read it.
As an introverted girl, with few friends. Most of the time, I am alone with my books, lost in my own imaginary and fantastical stories .
The author of this book "My Vampire Prince",is one of my rare friends, Anne. We exchange ideas on mythology, legends, and strange tales on the internet. She's a chatterbox, so most of the time I'm just a loyal and patient listener.
When I see the cold-blooded vampire duke in the novel, I can't help but think of Anne's brother R, whom Anne often complained about. It's said that he's a strict and violent person. Just because Anne and her boyfriend stayed out all night, he hung Anne upside down and whipped her!
hard to imagine!
I once suggested Anne call the police, but she did not dare, and even repeatedly warned me not to worry about her and not to call the police on her behalf. In short, her words were filled with fear of her demon-like brother R.
unexpectedly ,the image of the guy who had driven the red Ferrari at dawn appeared in my mind, pale, cold, and ruthless...terrifying!
My teacher's voice was like a lullaby, poor Bob, his classes were always full of confused logic and incomprehensible rambling. I half-listened to his drone as my fingers flew across the screen, sending a message to Anne to vent about my morning. I expected her to immediately relate to my plight, but this time, I didn't receive a reply from her.
This situation is truly rare. Could it be that Anne is working on a new novel? Her vampire love story series is extremely popular and I've heard that a film production company has contacted her to discuss a movie adaptation.
I am delighted for Anne's success. I greatly admire her profound and obsessive research on vampire culture. I even suspect that she truly believes herself to be a vampire, and she loves to use exaggerated and humorous language to describe her vampire life.
For example, she has an uncle who has lived for thousands of years and is a troublemaker that causes trouble for their family. Another example is her brother G, who is very greedy and lacks self-control. He actually drained the blood of the poor new hired steward, which caused R to be outraged and lock G in a coffin...
Look at these, how could they possibly be true? They're obviously made up by Anne. That's the difference between Anne and me. She's obsessed with vampires, while I'm just interested in all sorts of magical stories and legends, and vampire culture is just one of them. I only enjoy reading them, knowing clearly that those myths and legends are all fake.
At least, that's how I see it for now.
